Carried Away (2020) trailer’s is out !
“A dark comedy in which antagonist twins have to fulfill their mom’s last wish : to be buried in the forest.”
Carried Away is the graduation shortfilm we’ve team-directed, produced at MoPA, the Computer Graphics / Animation school I’ve studied in for the past 5 years. What a fantastic adventure I’ve been part of, with amazing teammates Alo M. Trusz, Etienne Fagnère, Jean-Baptiste Escary and Johan Cayrol !
I’ve co-directed it, worked on the production design of the film with a special focus on environment and lighting, supervised surfacing as well as environment assets' production and worked on shots' set dressing and lighting.
It’s been a lot of fun and -let’s be honest- headaches to wrap up the look of this film, especially in lockdown. I’m super thankful for the team work behind it and the great help from our supervisors.

Early concepts for next year’s graduation movie.
The Shore Knight
I designed a character these past few days that I want to turn into a 3D puppet, using Zbrush, Marvelous Designer, 3DS Max, Substance and Vray. All in need is time and some more time.
I had the luck to attend a Workshop with Cédric Séaut from Keos Masons at school, lecturing about 3D concept art, Zbrush and Substance pipeline, and I am so thrilled to learn more about it to give life to 3D CGI characters with an extra level of details !

Let’s get started with Inktober 2017 ! I am thrilled with the list I rustled up for myself. This year will be all about houses, may they be tiny, giant, peculiar, mobile.. ! I hope I will be regular, and I can’t wait for day 2 !

This summer I took part in an illustrated Tarot Deck ! It’s an upcoming project created by the SINK Fanzine. You can play with it, of course, or use it as a divination tool ! It’s composed of 78 cards, and I did the jacks set !

I made a painting based on sketches from my trip to Corsica for a friend, so here is my take on these beautiful islands !

Sea, Isles, Lake, River, Waterfall.
I wanted to try something a little bit different than usual, using a limited color palette, simple shapes and composition, with recurrent patterns. I had so much fun doing these !
I’ve been greatly inspired by linocut aesthetic, japanese engraving as well as Eyvind Earle and Mary Blair’s paintings and a hint of Matisse’s collages !
A quick process of my last illustration, Winter is here.
My scanner rioted, but it still gives a little insight.
1/ I do a rough sketch, using Photoshop, and keep is messy and loose, then I print it and...
2/ ...I clean up the lines, using an ink pen.
3/ I add values to determine my lighting and have an idea of where I’m going before starting inking.
4/ Ink ! Several layers of ink on 300g/m2 watercolor paper. Using salt for the snow flakes in the background !
5/ Scan, edit, add more values to help the eye reading the picture.
And voilà !

I made this piece as I got so thrilled watching the new Game of Thrones season, where everyone is incredibly concerned (also, dragons). Can’t wait to see what will happen next to the Worried Squad ©
