The leading theory is that the moon was created 4.5 billion years ago when a would-be planet the size of Mars smashed into the still-forming Earth. This epic collision between early Earth and the proto-planet called Theia shot an enormous amount of debris into orbit, which formed what would become the moon. Or so the theory goes. Despite decades of effort, scientists have not been able to find any evidence of Theia's existence. New US-led research, published in the journal Nature, suggests they might have been looking in the wrong direction. Around 2,900 kilometers (1,800 miles) below Earth's surface, two massive "blobs" have baffled geologists since seismic waves revealed their existence in the 1980s.

These statements/media leaks by Biden & his team (for instance, Biden privately calling Netanyahu an “asshole”) are smoke screens. They’re designed to make it look like the Biden Admin is doing what it can to pressure Israel behind the scenes, while they’re actually just buying the Israelis more time.

In fact, Blinken appears to be taking a page out of Kissinger’s book. In 1976, Kissinger publicly reprimanded Pinochet for his human rights abuses, calling on him to observe “fundamental standards of humane conduct.” But in private, Kissinger had a different message.

Behind the scenes, he promised Pinochet that “we are not out to weaken your position” and that his public critiques were just for show. And we all know of Kissinger’s role in supporting the coup that led to Pinochet’s brutal decades-long dictatorship.

What’s more concerning is that Blinken may emerge as an even more effective iteration of Kissinger. Blinken comes off as far more humble, much better at convincing his audience, with his furrowed eye brows, that he truly means what he says, empathizes, & priorities human rights.

We’ve spent so much time and energy obsessing over Kissinger’s unique evil that we ignore those who are following in his foot steps as we speak and perfecting his craft to devastating effect. At the end of the day, Blinken’s words and speeches are materially meaningless. Worse, they’re a distraction from the policies he defends. Over the past 4 months, the Biden Admin’s material/diplomatic support of Israel has only skyrocketed. Under a veil of lofty rhetoric, this admin has done everything in its power to ensure Israel has what it needs to carry out genocide.

Press conferences and speeches are truly just hot air. The only thing that really matters is that the flow of weapons/ammo/funding continues and all potentially significant diplomatic accountability measures (like ICJ case & UNSC resolutions) are quashed.

Do you think people cannot google the legal status of slavery in Yemen.

Do you think bombing those hypothetical illegally enslaved people would free them?

Do you think the country bombing them, which has ~3 million people enslaved 'legally' because it's allowed in the constitution, actually cares about those enslaved people in Yemen?

Do you think the country with a system of slavery of its own (that Israel copied for its kibbutzim), which is financing the propaganda outlet you reference to, cares about slavery?

Or do you think it cares about how bad it makes their opponent look to even have that allegation?
