I'm curious too, about the drive towards one or the other. If youre a 1-2, what makes you seek out fanfic? If youre a 4-5, what makes you seek out original fiction?
Every Frame a Painting’s Tony Zhou and Taylor Ramos seem to be regularly releasing their excellent video essays again (in partnership with Criterion). The latest installment is on The Visual Comedy of Wes Anderson’s Isle of Dogs.
I haven’t seen the movie, and know nothing about it, but my immediate thought seeing this image was - this is what ascending to heaven looks like.

I love this moment on the edge of day and night, when everything pauses, yet something inside keeps moving.
