HEY, MOTHERFUCKERS, DERIERIโS BEEN DEAD FOR AN ENTIRE YEAR WHICH MEANS SHEโS MY BITCH NOW!
Send a number to find my muse...
Sleeping at a table.
Singing in private.
Attempting to kill a spider, and failing.
Crying laughing.
Doing something embarrassing.
Getting chores done.
Loopy with lack of sleep.
Post-wisdom teeth removal.
Hiding a broken object.
Covered in blood.
In a fit of anger.
Throwing a tantrum.
Hiding in a closet.
Stuck somewhere with your muse.
Muffling their cries.
On a swing-set alone.
Feeling lonely.
Cuddling their pillow.
Staring at your muse.
Recovering from throwing up.
Stabbing a body repeatedly.
Somewhere theyโre not supposed to be.
Screaming by themselves.
Holding a wound.
Dead.

What a question. Upon hearing from his father that he needed to reclaim Meliodas to take the throne, after all his loyalty and effort, he nearly wanted toโ in Derieriโs not-so-elegant wordsโ fuck off himself.ย
But Meliodas himself had changed his mind with a single line whispered in his ear. Nowโฆ he needed to stay loyal to him.
โMeliodas owes me a debt. Becoming demon king is not only proof of an immense power, but also the granting of even more. If either Meliodas or I reached the throne, weโd be given even more immense powers than we already have โ not just in pure strength, but in spells and magic that can shape our lives in ways no mortal could. I need that power, whether I myself have it, or Meliodas is using it for me.โย
Heโd said too much. He knew that. Derieri was letting her motives slip more than she was used to exposing, and now he was doing the same. It was a dangerous game. And yetโฆ for the first time in centuries, he felt the relief of speaking his motives, as vaguely as he was, out loud. Years of simply following his fatherโs orders, mindlessly, cutting down enemies in which he had not true fight had been draining. As the war progressed he had nearly succumbed to that servitude as his true and only purpose. Only with Meliodasโs promise did he have, as much as heโd never admit, hope.
โIf he doesnโt keep his vow to me, I will cut him down myself and take my own path. But that will be then. For now, I will play his game.โย
A promise, huh? It must be a good one if it compelled the proud and stubborn Prince Stick-Up-His-Ass toย compromise. She snorts.ย
ย ย ย ย โSounds like a bribe to me. Whatโs the carrot?โ
Would he actually tell her? Probably not. But she was curious, and he didnโt seem like he was in a killing mood. Might as well ask. She didn't even know what she would do with the information if he gave it.

โNeed I remind you that you and Monspeet were both on the same side. I donโt know what third party compelled you to make such a switch, but if you feel the need to stay secretive, I have little energy to compel you to expose your motives.โ
โWithout your commandment, I have no fight for you. Both you and I know I could defeat you if I put my full effort into it. Thereโs no need for me to prove myself to you. Run off and live in hiding, if thatโs what you wish.โ Was he really allowing this? His father would be furious if he allowed a traitor to escape. He remembered centuries ago when Meliodas used to pummel him for this sort of decision making. Where his brother and father were malicious and vengeful, he had simply wanted strength to further his own means. He never reveled in the fightโฆ
โHowever, if I meet you on the battleground and you attack from the opposing side.โ There. That was more of the tone he was used to taking with authority.
There was a difference, she wanted to say, between fighting for each other and fighting side-by-side for someone else. No way could she articulate it, though, so she let it lie.
But now that they were on familiar groundโsheโs much more used to being threatened than she is to someone questioning her motivesโsomethingโs bugging her.
Everybody and their cat knew Zeldris wanted to succeed his father as the Demon King. Meliodas coming back to claim his birthright knocked him right out of the running for the throne. If sheย were in his position, sheโd gang up with anyone she needed to to kill the competition, loyalty be damned. At the very least sheโd get out from underneath the Demon Kingโs thumb.
So why the hell wasnโt he?ย
ย ย ย ย โTo say it from the ass, why not fuck off, yourself? Whatโs in it for you?โ
@personal blogs following me!
1) Iโm really glad youโre here; itโs a lot of fun to share my interpretation of Derieri with you all
2) Just fyi that as a general rule, Iโd prefer that personal blogs do not reblog my posts. It makes it hard to sort through notifications for replies I need to get to.
Thanks guys!!

Curiosity over takes him, throwing him a bit off balance as he was trying to simply be intimidating. Nonetheless, its hard not to question someone thatโs been your ally for far longer than your enemy. Heโd been dealing a lot with this sensation as of late. It angered him: was he becoming softer?
โWho exactly is this someone?โ He asks. โEither wayโฆ there was no need for you to completelyabandon our cause. All youโve likely done is infuriate the Demon King, and now Meliodas by association.โ He neednโt warn her about the consequences of such an anger. But he nearly felt bad: heโd been on the opposite side of such a wrath before.
She snorts at his mention of Meliodasโ wrath. Even though she knows heโs not a force to be ignored, she canโt help but find the role reversal bitterly amusing. Unfortunately for Derieri, her death would be permanent (she still doesnโt know how the hell Meliodas came back from that, and it pisses her off). It was strange: for the first time since the Demon King awarded her the Purity precept, she feelsย mortal.ย Being blasted within inches of your life does that to a woman, she supposes.
ย ย ย ย ย โMonspeet,โ she forces out. โMonspeet and. . . yeah, Monspeet.โ
She wasnโt about to expose her soft underbelly any time soon, let alone to Zeldris. He didnโt need to know who else she felt compelled to champion.
@ephelameral made an awesome Deri mood-board so Iโm sharinโ it with the world.
"So thanks a lot for listening."
ย ย ย ย โEh?โ
ย ย ย ย โOh, yeah. Girls gotta support girls or whatever, I guess.โ

Well, that seemed to hit a cord. Good, he was trying to.
โWhat donโt I know, exactly? Have they tricked you into believing otherwise? Are you trying to convince me that they werenโt responsible for mass murder against us?โ Zeldris scoffs at the very idea. The demon clan had done a reprehensible amount of damage and bad deeds in their time, but they never painted themselves in the Holy light the Goddesses tended to. Seeing an allyโ or should he say ex-allyโ teaming up with such trash was aggravating.
โWhat exactly are you thinking, Derieri?โ He finishes.
โDonโt think I forget what theyโve done!โ She bares her teeth at him in a snarl. He hadnโt lost the other half of his soul in this war.
Scalding fury drowns her every time that day crosses her mind. Nothing could make her forgive the filth that murdered Poitrina. Nothing. And she canโt make it better no matter how hard she tries; no number of corpses or hours of brooding, bathing in her hatred, eases the ache of Poitrinaโs death. She couldnโt fill the hole her sister left behind, not for decades, until...
ย ย ย ย โIโm fighting for someone.โย Itโs the best she can do to explain.ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย โAnd it feels... better.โ

ย ย ย ย she wants to laugh. maybe thatโ s why a soft grin tugs the corners of her mouth upwards, why she ignores the obvious threat.
ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย โ โ talking from the ass,โ as you said, ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย whatever affects the ten commandments ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย affects me. So, yes, it is my business.โ
ย ย ย ย translation: you are more than welcome to try.
ย ย ย ย โFine.โ
She folds her arms, rippled with cords of muscle, across her chest. She pumps ferocity into her scowl and her gaze as she answers.
ย ย ย ย โFamily friends. Monspeet brought my name to the Demon King.โ Which is how sheโd ended up in the Ten Commandments.
โSomeone has to do it. ย If we donโt give up, light will sure shine one day.โ

She patted out the flames on her arm with a huff, rolling her shoulders. โYeah, well, I used to raise these creatures. No way Iโm killinโ one now.โ Elizabeth tilted her head back with a sigh before leveling her gaze at the dragon. โAlright. Hereโs to hoping I havenโt gotten rusty over the past few millennia, hm?โ
ย ย ย โMm-hmm.โ
She stares absently at the dragon for a moment longer before she turns her eyes to meet Elizabethโs, and her nonchalant expression shifts into a sharp-edged, toothy grin.
