Alright straight women we need to talk. 

I’m not under any illusions here. I know that 90% of every gay ship is straight women. This is Tumblr that’s just how it is. Its not necessarily a bad thing but there is some stuff you guys have got to get hip with. Ya’ll seem to think that gay relationships are like Straight™ ones and they just aren’t. (Straight relationships aren’t even like Straight™ relationships)

No one is “The Girl”

You guys pick one character (usually the one you perceive as weaker or more feminine, which is super insulting to women honestly and to the gay man you just castrated for your fan fiction.) and you have the other one open doors for them, pull out their chair and court them like some 1600′s English nobility (which okay if you were writing an AU but the rest of the time knock it off. Split that shit like a real couple who do nice things for each other because they like each other.) You make this person the one who has the sedative touch that is the only thing that gets through to big masculine angry man who’s for sure the other half of this couple.

You have these two roles for couples “The Protector” who’s the tough masculine one. This person doesn’t like talking about their feelings. They are sometimes down right mean to the person they like and they are generally over protective and possessive to an alarming degree. Then you have “The Lover” who’s endlessly patient and in touch with their feelings but probably cry’s all the god damn time. 

This is some seriously annoying Straight™ people shit. They are both men. So Stop hyper feminizing one half of the relationship. Keep your toxic tropes. Jesus and Daryl are both bad ass dudes. Both are pretty repressed in their own ways. They are both going to struggle with closeness because they are both severely traumatized by their life experience in the freaking apocalypse. 

I guess what I’m saying is get better at writing because ya’ll either dont know a damn thing about the characters or you dont care and if you don’t care then what are you doing here in this ship go fetishize gay men somewhere else.But most of all

This guy isn’t YOU stop inserting yourself into the story. Its obvious and sad.

My dear Desus Fandom

I keep seeing people being down everywhere for reasons, so I want to give you some hope.

1: Yes, maybe they set a path for Aaron and Jesus to become a couple in the future but they won’t so soon, Ross said Aaron needs time and Tom said finding love is not his priority atm… and a path for Daryl and Jesus was there from Jesus day 1.

2: They probably might have noticed by now, that a whole bunch of people is not so thrilled to see Aaron and Jesus raise a baby or whatever boring plot they are planning for them.

3: Love for Daryl and Jesus is shown everywhere and maybe they joked about it at the panel, maybe not, it’s in their heads now, maybe they think it’s a good idea and change plans. If they have the balls…

4: Norman Reedus: Never say never!

5: Tom ships Desus more than we all together.

6: Jesus likes rugged men.

I hope remembering this cheers you up a little =) Let’s keep spreading the love for our ship and don’t give up hope!
