This is your friendly neighborhood Spiderman here to remind you that flossing actually makes a difference. I've been flossing A LOT more (not every day yet, but like 5 times a week) and I'm at the dentist today and my gums hurt a lot less and there's a lot less inflammation and bleeding.

I had been telling people that getting a tattoo didn't hurt any more than going to the dentist and I didn't know if it said more about my pain tolerance or dental hygiene. Turns out it was my dental hygiene.

Who knew?

After I started flossing regularly, dental hygiene appointments started just feeling like deep tissue massages for my gums. It was almost pleasant.

ohhhh my god this is a puggle from an Australian 90's small chain shop called 'The Lost Forest'. Inside it was dark, densely decorated with leaves, and had a talking tree. You didn't buy a puggle (or a fruggle, or the other beasts), you 'adopted' them, and when you paid, the shop attendant would send them down a slide to you.

Pictured: the wack-ass tree, puggles on the ceiling waiting to be adopted, and a fruggle on the ground. There were also those possum things but I forgor what they were called. Everything came with a little lore card. Puggles and fruggles came in all different sizes, and EVERYONE coveted the huge puggles, but who has that kind of cash to throw around??

Additionally, puggles had whiskers! But due to them being toys, they'd fall off or get pulled out. They were filled with stuffing and some bean type material to give them weight (similar to beanie babies). You could absolutely huck one of these bad boys at your friends.

In this Bible story (John 1:29-34), John the Baptist sees Jesus and declares to his followers that Jesus is the long awaited Lamb of God, Who takes away the sins of the world. In John's Gospel, John the Baptist claims that he didn't know Jesus before he came to the Jordan. Yet in Matthew 3:14 he seems to recognize Jesus immediately, declaring himself unworthy to baptize Him. And in Luke 1, we find that Jesus and John were cousins. Maybe their time together as children was limited before John went to live in the wilderness, or maybe John knew Jesus but didn't know the full depth of His identity until the Spirit descended upon Him.

In this cartoon, John identifies Jesus as the Messiah when the Holy Spirit descends upon Him in the Jordan River. It's been a while since the two saw each other, so John doesn't recognize his Cousin at first. Jesus tries to remind him of how they first met... before they were born. He describes John leaping in his mother's womb (Luke 1:35-45) when their pregnant mothers met and asks if John remembers the event. John thinks Jesus is joking at first -- what human being remembers being in their mother's womb, right? -- but then he stares at Jesus and realizes that JESUS seems to remember the event just fine, despite being EVEN LESS BORN than him at the time. When he asks Jesus to elaborate on this, Jesus changes the subject.
