okay but can we take a second to talk about how confusing that scene in julian’s route must be to anyone normal. like, there’s this murderer who has turned himself in twice now, who you may know as a plague doctor as well, and his lawyer, who got introduced as the court magician and generally doesn’t seem to have done this before. and this murderer and his lawyer are constantly holding eye contact and you’re pretty sure that they’ve got way too much sexual tension and that everyone has noticed it. and while this lawyer is presenting really believable facts and evidence, that murderer is just screaming at you, hollering that he’s guilty over and over and over again.  and so he gets proclaimed guilty. you see him getting hanged. you watch him die.

fast forward two months, you’re doing your daily shopping at the market, greeting the baker, and suddenly you find yourself face-to-face with that murderer that was so dramatically hanged weeks ago and his lawyer, walking hand in hand down the streets. and you’re like. what the fuck.
