The Magic Book of Spells 🔮💫🖌
“I’m constantly torn between ‘if it’s meant to be, it will be’ and ‘if you want it go get it.’ ” - Anon
2019 best nine according to Instagram 💫
Thank you so much for appreciating my art experiments. You don’t know how much each like, reblog and encouraging comments mean to me. To keep it short, it helps motivate me to improve every time I ask myself (which I do a lot) ‘Why and what the hell am I doing?’.
Hopefully in 2020, I will still be doing what I love. I hope you will too. 💙 Wishing everyone a Happy New Year! 💙
“It’s alright, spring will come to me too.” - Jonghyun
As 2019 is coming to a close, I’ve been struggling to be kind to myself. My thoughts are just so loud I feel like I’m going deaf. I want to escape but I also feel bad for wanting to, cause it makes me seem ungrateful. I’m scared. I pray to grasp the warmth of spring without suppressing winter.
Have yourself a Merry little Christmas.
I feel like I haven’t painted a detailed piece in a long time. Here’s one I made for Chalkola from July.
“Maybe my passion is nothing special, but at least it’s mine.”

I wish I could remember this everyday and I hope you will too.
Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!
22 was magical. Made one of my dreams come true. Hope 23 will too 🌻💫
Sometimes creating not-so-complicated illustrations reminds me how much I love what I do.

I don’t usually work on other surfaces so this project was a different one. I had a lot of fun making these with Chalkola for Sesame Street’s 50th anniversary.
Playing with POSCA pastel markers and watercolor.
The final piece alongside the inspiration for the small contest I joined held by Chalkola. (You may see the process on how I made it in my previous post.) I was deciding on how I can make something whimsical and this was in front of me when I was drafting so that’s why I used it.
The concept that I initially intended to convey for this piece, although I’m not sure if I was able to execute it, is holding on to hope.
The “the little sunflower village” symbolizes hope enclosed in glass which means it’s fragile. It’s supposed to be a place where everything is bright and comfortable. The hands were intended to be grey to convey that the person is not in a happy state. As for the sharp crystals below the sunflower village, it was supposed to portray life’s struggles. I was thinking of life as it is, a mixture of yellow and blue.
Basically, I wanted to show that despite being in a not-so-happy state and being stabbed by life’s struggles, the person is holding on to hope.
I hope you like it.
