Ilusive Expectations, a mirage and my great thirst for the forbidde L word

Sorry I can't shut up about all the episodes we just got, but did anybody else think it was so cute when Marinette and Chat Noir were flirting and we got to see Marinette's settle reactions. This is one of the first incidents they got to flirt openly and overtly with the other person FLIRTING BACK (not counting the cute banter the love square may have had previously).

Marinette and Chat Noir both were acting smooth, but obvious in their desires. It was clear they both wanted to see one another with to flirt. We never seen Marinette be able to keep herself in a moment like this for so long, usually she becomes fluster or says something wild. And we know the girl has game! We see this when she flirts with Chat Noir as Ladybug: she is confident, but carries over that overzealous attitude still that sometimes backfires.

So it was really cute when we got a close up of her glimmering eyes darting back and forth slightly after she is confident Chat Noir is reciprocating her feelings.

To me, she was containing her excitement, she finally got a boy she loves to like her back and act on it! She gave herself a moment to celebrate and feel elated 😏 before continuing her conversation with Chat Noir.

The love square has had many great moments, but this was just different because they both allow themselves to indulge in romance something that has been a root to their misunderstandings when they were not sure if their respective crush like them. It was nice to see how happy the both of them were before it went south.
