The first thing that made me tear up in “Black Sails”:

Anne Bonny talking about her past with Max: “If I’m not what I was when I was born, and I ain’t what I’ve become instead, what the fuck am I?”

Max defending Anne Bonny: “When no one in the world… no one… NO ONE… could care less about what those men were doing to me on the beach, she did. That means something to me. So, for as long as she desires, this place will be a safe place for her.”

You'd think Maxanor was a pretty hard learned lesson for the wlw fandom about going down with the first wlw ship that pops up.

Then again, people did ship Maxanor after what Eleanor did to Max, and there may be greater implications for those people they may wanna deal with BUT anyway Maxanor was NOT the love story for Max. Maxanne was. It's not always the first one y'all damn. Sometimes that one is just part of the person's story. Part of the journey, not the destination.
