We’ve cleared the infections and someone is definitely on the mend... We’ve had laughs, cries, jokes and completely irrational fears this morning. All because we need to go to the shops... So the last two weeks have been difficult, surgery is done for now and his recovery is underway... again! His anxiety has been terrible this time due to the lack of routine, the fear of the unknown and the changes... it’s all been too much for him and there seems to be no way to calm him down, it’s difficult when he’s been through so much! Tomorrow is going to be a tough day for us... it’s more surgery for blue eyes. Surgery on a child is hard enough for any family and this is his third surgery in 8 month, but what makes it more difficult is the fact that he is autistic. As much as it can be a battle to get him outside and out of his comfort zone.
