Oh I've had more thoughts about this AU. Ed and Izzy were washed up punk rockers for years before this. Izzy thinks the scene kids are posers and Ed has fully fucking integrated and is like their god. Izzy is mortified by this turn of events. Ed is so much happier now that he's posting cringe on myspace. He's in a thirst trap cold war with someone. He gets a rawr means I love you in dinosaur tattoo.

Stede is just kind of a normal guy. He's still fucking weird of course he's Stede but he has managed to not run away to become a pirate and then he starts dating Ed and suddenly he's got teal hair and a nose ring and is being trotted out by Ed for the cameras as the emo power couple and Alma is fucking incensed because her fucking cringe ass father stole her teenaged rebellion

Everyone pissed off about OFMD fans not caring about real issues.... Our Flag for Palestine raised just under $11,000 IN TWELVE HOURS. In NOVEMBER. Before anyone even thought about screaming at us for not caring about anything but a silly little pirate show.

And since the HoistTheAds campaign went live, they've opened the donations for Our Flag for Palestine again (funding Care for Gaza, which they also encourage people to donate to directly) and have surpassed that goal again.

realizing that um. the groom? in that wedding ed crashed? where he got the wedding cake toppers?

his suit is literally....... orange and gold. with fish scales.

i just think that's. interesting. especially because the wedding cake topper does not have this detailing.

meaning that ed noticed this Fine Fabric and it stuck in his mind as being stede-like. and his subconscious uses it to construct his vision of stede.

this is also where i point out (perhaps needlessly) that... this is a wedding suit. ed, on the verge of death, imagines his love swimming towards him, yes. but more specifically... his groom.
