You can still watch them.
Yeah, yeah I heard about the drama. I know. I gathered. But that youtuber, that streamer, that creator, has been with you forever and it's hard to just cut out that person entirely from your entire life when so much of who you are today was created by taking them and molding it to fit your body and mind, hell, to fit your soul.
Nobody is asking you to just completely cold turkey their content if they mean that much to you. Nobody is asking you to burn your merch or publicly rant about how you hate them. Okay? Anyone who does is unreasonable.
They might have done something by accident, they might be a bad person, maybe they hurt someone, maybe they hurt their fans, maybe the whole thing was a joke or bit gone wrong, maybe they said the wrong thing.
That's not on you. You didn't do anything wrong by supporting them when you did. If it isn't that serious and they've apologized, hell, if it is that serious and they've apologized, you can take the apology. You can take it and continue. If they refuse to apologize or had a shit apology or went down a bad pipeline of bullshit, it doesn't mean you need to immediately distance yourself from everything they've ever done and what you connected yourself to.
Their old content is still there. You can go back and watch it. You can look over it. Having good memories of it doesn't make you a bad person. Liking the old videos or content they put out says nothing on you morally. You don't even have to tell anyone.
It's not a crime. It's not evil. You have no requirement to just drop them like an old toy you grew out of. Sometimes it takes a while.
If you're angry at them, if you want to stop watching them, you can wean off of them. If you're mourning and grieving and just need those old videos cause how else are you getting through tomorrow, you can keep watching them.
They got you through the hard times. I know. You have no idea how much I know.
Do what feels right to you. Okay? Don't force yourself to do something when it hurts you so bad.
