hairstylist here! grey hair alone does not take ANY color well, as it tends to be coarse and resistant! most fun colors are semi-permanent direct dyes meaning there is little to no oxidation in the hair itself while processing, so at most the color is simply staining, not dyeing. but fear not! it isn’t impossible, just not as simple as you might think.
