My entry for the 200th Chapter of Black Butler Fan-Event ( @blackbutler200 )!

I was supposed to add something I didn’t know back then, and while in 2009 I obviously didn’t know most of the story, I still had a hard time coming up with something to incorporate that I didn’t know back then. My take now is that we’ve come to know that Sebastian likes this butler game he’s playing with Ciel. If this is all a game to him, then Ciel is his toy. Ciel in the original drawing has a very lifeless expression, so I went and turned him into an altogether lifeless puppet for Sebastian to play with (and dress up).

I’ve wanted to do a redraw of an old drawing for years, so this was a great occasion! I’m a little sorry I didn’t use alcohol markers like in the original but I’m abroad for an extended period and have neither my full set of markers, nor a scanner at hand.

I've started this one in september. Yes, I'm very slow.

Firstly I've forced myself to learn some basics of blend and I've made stairs model. These are some compositions I've been considering.

Then a rough sketch...

Here I'm starting to think about perspective and anatomy

Then I make a lot of screenshots midprocess so when I feel stuck I look on previous version to see if I'm making progress or going in circles.

But sometimes I came to the conclusion that Ive just wasted a few hours of work and previous version did look better.
