Thinking about it, Blade is the funniest character for the creators to whore out considering hundreds of years ago some lizard locked him down (fairly young!) with a telepathic bracer and he's been obsessively committed ever since. Even in his hater-phase he was still laser focused on that one man and being (dying) with him. Turbo monogamy in action, he took those vows seriously
And he keeps talking to the Trailblazer like he's a grandfather. That too.
kiss challenge for blade but he needs to take all astral express

saying that native americans are 'yankees' and privileged more than they're oppressed and benefit from american imperialism (absolutely batshit insane take) is fine. but if you ever bring up the fact that she's a white french woman then you're evil and transmisogynistic and literally powerjacketing transfems
Yankees refers to all Americans. Why would it be wrong to use that word on them. Articulate your response. American citizens of all ethnicities occupy the exact same position in relation to the global periphery. Your dollar costs more than their ruble, you drive on their gas, you eat their tropical fruit, and you pay taxes to your military.
All of that is imperial privilege. It doesn't matter how much your life sucks or how poor you are compared to other American citizens.
You are a citizen with equal rights within the American nation. That is all qualification needed.
And the same goes to french, i don't think she would deny it.
native americans are not american citizens. as, they are not Just american citizens, even if they do hold a US passport/citizenship or vote in US elections (WHICH IS A HUGE IF BECAUSE NATIVE AMERICANS ARE NOT A MONOLITH) there is literally hundreds of tribal nations with their own land, police, medical systems, laws and statutes, they all determine membership and manage resources differently. there are dozens of different Kinds of native nations, degrees to which they have independence from the US or whether they have independence or whether they're recognized as nations at all. Reservations are not just towns and they are not just Regular Places Americans Live. it is a brutal system most comparable to the salute system of the British Raj crossed with the jewish ghetto of Prague.
The US didnt create this system to be nice or give native people ""equal rights"", but to specifically segregate native peoples and force them onto lands with rampant pollution and little resources.
And while yes there are many native people who dont live in tribally controlled areas/reservations (though every native person ive ever met has a connection to one) to pick out these as a representation of native americans as a whole is disingenuous. the notion that native people havent been the most consistent and virulent acters against the US project since before its inception is historically illiterate.
"you are citizens with equal rights within the american nation"
except when the ""american nation"" in question has complete control over whether or not your nations water has uranium in it or your police can arrest a non-native US citizen or you get a passport. except when that nation has been committing the longest genocide in history against you. except when that nation made your religion illegal to practice until the 80s in most places (later in others and some aspects are still illegal).
cmon man. pull your head out of your ass and think about the reality of being one of >4000 Passamaquoddy living in Indian Township for a fucking second.
this book-- which comes out this month (June 2026) was written by a therapist working in appalachia who realized so many of her clients' issues boiled down to "being poor." it was a primary root stressor for most of the people she was working with and she couldn't fix it.
“How can we distinguish what is biologically determined from what people merely try to justify through biological myths? A good rule of thumb is ‘Biology enables, culture forbids.’ Biology is willing to tolerate a very wide spectrum of possibilities. It’s culture that obliges people to realise some possibilities while forbidding others. Biology enables women to have children – some cultures oblige women to realise this possibility. Biology enables men to enjoy sex with one another – some cultures forbid them to realise this possibility. Culture tends to argue that it forbids only that which is unnatural. But from a biological perspective, nothing is unnatural. Whatever is possible is by definition also natural. A truly unnatural behaviour, one that goes against the laws of nature, simply cannot exist, so it would need no prohibition. No culture has ever bothered to forbid men to photosynthesise, women to run faster than the speed of light, or negatively charged electrons to be attracted to each other. In truth, our concepts ‘natural’ and unnatural’ are taken not from biology, but from Christian theology. The theological meaning of ‘natural’ is ‘in accordance with the intentions of the God who created nature’. Christian theologians argued that God created the human body, intending each limb and organ to serve a particular purpose. If we use our limbs and organs for the purpose envisioned by God, then it is a natural activity. To use them differently than God intends is unnatural. But evolution has no purpose. Organs have not evolved with a purpose, and the way they are used is in constant flux. There is not a single organ in the human body that only does the job its prototype did when it first appeared hundreds of millions of years ago. Organs evolve to perform a particular function, but once they exist, they can be adapted for other usages as well. Mouths, for example, appeared because the earliest multicellular organisms needed a way to take nutrients into their bodies. We still use our mouths for that purpose, but we also use them to kiss, speak and, if we are Rambo, to pull the pins out of hand grenades. Are any of these uses unnatural simply because our worm-like ancestors 600 million years ago didn’t do those things with their mouths?”

underpaid server:
My favourite thing about that show is how he treats servers. It was also the source of some very intense fantasies when I was a barista of him busting into my cafe, calling my boss a fucking idiot, then taking me against the broken dishwasher.
some hyper famous artists like Van Gogh transcend overratedness and become underrated because they're so normalized. Like I'll look at a van Gogh and I'm like wait this really is amazing you guys don't get it
Shakespeare is like this
Every time I see a Van Gogh that’s not one of his better known pieces it absolutely blows me away
Have you seen this shit my liege? smh unreal
Ok actually genuine tip for new tumblr users: if you see a post you like and want to reblog but theres a bad/annoying added on bit in the reblog chain feel free to just reblog that post straight from op or the last person who knew how to mind their business
Or just mock the edition. That usually works

women are like diamonds: synthetically-produced women are not meaningfully different from naturally-formed women, and anyone trying to tell you otherwise is probably trying to justify keeping their women mines open
