You guys made my writing so much better <3
--- THIS CHAPTER HAS NOT BEEN EDITED ---
--- PLEASE EXCUSE ANY MISTAKES, BAD FLOW, CRAPPY TRANSLATIONS, INCONSISTENCIES ETC.---
You paced through your room nervously, thinking fast. You had waited until all the guys had gone back to their rooms first. You had been sure that going back down and speaking up against all of them at once would be a fight you were bound to lose. But you weren't going to give up. On the one side, you were furious at all of them. The fact that they still kept, or at least tried to keep, secrets from you pissed you off exceptionally. You had expected them to be open and honest with you ever since they found out you are their goddess, but apparently, this was still not the case. Which in turn made you anxious as well. What more were they keeping from you? You huffed. Filled with emotion, you suddenly barged out of the door, not caring anymore if any of them would hear you. You walked over to the door closest to you and knocked.
'Yeah,' Changbin's voice sounded. He had barely spoken before you pulled open the door and stamped into his room. Changbin was sitting on his bed, lifting a heavy-looking dumbbell with one arm while checking the mirror for his posture opposite him.
'What is the solstice?' you demanded, your emotions too intense to be subtle about it. A small muscle pulled in Changbin's face, but he didn't stop his workout. He lifted the dumbbell several more times in silence. You stared silently at him, his skin glistening with droplets of sweat, making his muscles seem all the more defined. You were taken aback and maybe even disappointed that he hadn't seemed too surprised about you knowing. Had he sensed you when you had listened in on them? Felt your body heat at the top of the stairs? Or had Han told him? And if so, had he told the others, too?
'Once every, hmmm, I don't know how many years exactly,' Changbin began slowly, his muscles still rippling under his skin as he carried on like nothing surprising had happened, 'but let's say once in a while, the solstice comes around.' He looked in the mirror thoughtfully and paused, not looking at you and still working out. You took a step closer to him, feeling like you were going to burst if he didn't talk more soon.
'To be honest, I'm actually not sure why we call it a solstice, but I remember Seungmin saying something about the positions of the planets...'' Changbin said, chuckling dryly to himself.
'Changbin,' you said his name firmly, trying not to yell at him. Finally, he looked at you through the mirror. Slowly, he put down his dumbbell and turned to you, his dark eyes meeting yours. Their brown color seemed to be redder than usual, and it was clear he hadn't dyed his hair in a while, as his red roots were starting to show again. Changbin sighed.
'What do you want to know?' he asked in a tired voice. He knew he wouldn't be able to argue with you.
'Everything,' you stated, taking another step towards him. Changbin nodded slowly, pressing his lips together and looking at you. He sighed once more before starting to speak.
'The "solstice" is a phenomenon that is defined by certain planets and stars being in certain positions. Don't ask me which ones, though; that's Seungmin's area, and I always forget the names. Anyway, as I assume you've heard, it is a period in which our powers are... amplified,' Changbin explained.
'How much?' you asked instantly. The muscle in Changbin's face pulled again, and he folded his hands together.
'A lot,' he said the words softly as if he was afraid to say more. You looked at him, still feeling the anger bubbling inside while trying to suppress a sudden urge to touch his glistening muscles.
'So?' you said, challengingly, lifting your chin at him haughtily.
'So?' Changbin repeated, getting up from the bed now and taking a step towards you, looking at you and mirroring your frown. 'Y/n, it can be dangerous,' he said, looking at you worriedly. You huffed at his comment. Changbin clicked his tongue in annoyance and took another step towards you. 'You weren't there, you didn't see what happened the past few times,' he said urgently.
'So then, what happened?' you asked carelessly. Changbin opened his mouth to speak, his face pained and annoyed, but you wouldn't budge as you still gave him that challenging look. 'We've caused damage... pain... hurt people... Trust me, it's dangerous,' Changbin said, shaking his head.
'You won't hurt me,' you said instinctively. Changbin clicked his tongue again, huffing in exasperation.
'You don't know that. We don't know that,' he said, starting to sound fierce now, too.
'You won't hurt me,' you repeated steadfastly. Changbin hissed in anger and shot forward, his sudden move towards you startling you for a second. He grabbed your hands in his, fingers intertwining, and his face close to yours. His red doll-shaped lips seemed to invite you in, but you refused to move.
'You feel this?' he hissed through his teeth as he squeezed your hands softly. It was only then that you realized his hands were extremely hot in yours, and you automatically pulled your hands back from him. He instantly let go, his hard, angry gaze softening when he noticed your startled and uncomfortable face.
'Yeah,' he said, his voice sounding pained now, 'it's already started, and it'll only get worse.' He turned around and walked back to the bed, but he didn't sit back down on it.
For a moment, you were taken aback by what happened, staring at his broad shoulders while your heart raced.
'No,' you whispered, more to yourself than to him as you walked over to him. Carefully, you grabbed his hand, taking it into yours once more. Startled by your actions, he tried to pull back, but you didn't let him.
'No, Binnie, look at me, you won't burn me,' you told him, using your other hand now too to keep him from pulling himself free from your grip. You tried to find his eyes, dark but always with that red tinge that you knew would get more intense when he was using his powers or feeling something strongly. Your heart seemed to focus on him only, and suddenly, his hand didn't seem too hot anymore at all. They were simply warm, nice, and comfortable, like a warm bath after a long day. Changbin finally looked up at you, meeting your eyes.
'See, it's fine,' you said calmly. His expression was still scared and worried, but he stopped his efforts to get free. 'You're not hurting me,' you said confidently, staring at him intently. His red eyes seemed to suddenly be glued to your face, his lips slightly parting. It was as if you could hear his heartbeat, syncing with yours, loud and fast. You felt hot, but not because of the heat he was radiating this time.
Without breaking eye contact, you slowly brought his hand to your face, carefully placing his palm on your cheek, so he was cupping your face.
'You could never hurt me,' you said softly. You could see his eyes grow redder with the second, his gaze switching from your eyes to your lips as his face inched closer to yours. You leaned in towards him, lips almost touching his and tasting his breath. You couldn't help but grin to yourself.
'I am your goddess,' you whispered onto his lips.
'Yes,' he replied breathlessly.
'You can't hurt me,' you breathed into his mouth.
'Never,' he mumbled entranced, his lips touching yours now.
A sudden loud bang made Changbin jerk back, away from you. Startled and frozen, you blinked a few times.
'S-sorry!' Changbin called out loudly, scratching the back of his head sheepishly and looking at the floor.
'Excuse me?' You said, looking at him incredulously. Changbin looked up at you and grimaced before clearing his throat awkwardly.
'I, erm, Seungmin, erm, he... It was a warning,' Changbin said vaguely, backing away from you and walking to the door.
'Pardon?' You blinked, feeling even more bewildered and annoyed.
'I erm,' Changbin said, looking away from you and grabbing hold of the doorknob. You suddenly noticed how red his eyes had become and how pink his cheeks had turned. 'I was thinking a bit too loud,' Changbin mumbled awkwardly.
For a moment, your brain didn't seem to work, but then you understood.
'He, erm, he warned me Channie might hear, so... and since he asked us to stay away.. for now,' he said, turning his glowing eyes back to you. His gaze was like a lion looking at its prey, and your heart skipped.
A sizzling sound and another bang from downstairs pulled both of you back again once more. Changbin swore, looking at the molten doorknob in his hand.
'YEA!' He growled loudly, and you knew it was directed at Seungmin's second warning. 'Better go back to your room, baby girl,' he said in a softer voice, indicating his head for you to leave, but his eyes seemed reluctant. You stiffly made your way over to the door as Changbin swore under his breath, trying to unstick the simmering pieces of doorknob from his fingers.
You chewed the inside of your cheek in annoyance. After yesterday evening's frustration, you had hoped to be able to alleviate some of it the following morning. But as soon as you got out of bed, your hopes instantly faded away.
Grumbling to yourself, you stared at the seven notes that had been slid underneath your door. You were sure they all contained some stupid bullshit explanation of why they wouldn't be home today and that they were "so sorry".
'Liars,' you grunted to yourself. You weren't even sure why they bothered to lie to you when some of them already knew that you knew that Chan had told them to stay away.
'Wow, didn't sleep well?' Adam asked hesitantly as he saw you stamping through the busy hallway towards him.
'Slept fine,' you said shortly. 'Where's Sera?' You asked him as the two of you made your way to the cafeteria. You felt like you could really use some feminine energy at the moment.
'What? Am I not good enough for you anymore?' Adam snorted.
'No-I-' you began to apologise, but Adam laughed.
'Easy, I'm only teasing, sorry. I should've realised you're not in the mood,' he said soothingly.
Sera found the two of you in your usual spot in the cafeteria.
'Luthial fase?' Sera asked you as she sat down and looked at you with a worried face.
'Wha-oh no,' you said grumbling. Suddenly, you felt a prickling feeling in your neck. You knew that feeling. You knew what it meant. And it hadn't been the first time today. You jerked your head around to see, and you could've sworn you saw a few strands of black and grey hair disappear just around the corner.
You turned your head back to Sera and Adam, who were looking utterly bewildered.
'Oh, I see,' Sera said suddenly, 'I know that expression. It's boys, isn't it?' She gave you a knowing look.
You nodded stiffly. Sera clicked her tongue.
'Ugh, men!' Adam said, and you couldn't help but laugh. 'Do you wanna talk about it?'
You considered it for a moment but realised that there was no way you could come up with an allegory for the situation you were in that seemed normal to humans.
'It's complicated,' you said, shrugging, poking your food, but not feeling like eating.
'Which one do I need to punch?' Sera said with a mouth full of food as she mimed a very bad sucker punch.
'All of them, honestly.' You laughed. 'But don't worry, things will be fine,' you added quickly when you saw their concerned faces.
'Good, because I already made plans for our double date,' Adam said cheerfully.
'You did?' Sera said, looking at him, surprised, 'You never told me.'
'Because I want to surprise you,' Adam said, taking her hand and looking at her sweetly. You looked at them smiling. They did make a great match, and you were really happy for them. 'Of course,' Adam began, turning to you, 'I will text you the location beforehand, so you know where to go, but only if you swear not to tell Sera,'
'I swear,' you said solemnly, putting one hand on your heart.
'No fair,' Sera said, faking a pout.
Coming home, the house was empty. Of course, you had hoped for someone to be there, but you also knew that, even if they hadn't been avoiding you, no one would be home yet for several hours. Although many of the boys had variable schedules, they always made sure you knew when and where they would be, in case you ever needed them.
Feeling frustrated but also slightly sad and lonely, you shuffled to your room. There you dropped your bag and looked around the room. Your messy research from the night before was still lying around the room. You sighed. That paper wasn't going to make itself. You straightened your back and decided to put your feelings aside and focus. There was work to do.
But you had only been studying for barely two hours when you suddenly heard the unmistakable sound of a gust of wind inside a room. Your ears perked up instantly, and your heart jumped with joy. You had barely realised that it should actually be way too early for any of them to come home when you heard some clanging noises in the kitchen.
You had already half gotten up out of enthusiasm when you froze for a second. The sounds were strange. Like stuff was being swept off counters, and furniture was being overturned. But it wasn't being done forcefully.
It was only known that you could hear the agonising sounds, moans, and groans from downstairs.
Your body went cold, and your heart seemed to turn into ice. Blindly, you dropped everything and sprinted out of the door as fast as you could, almost flying down the stairs.
You had barely reached the bottom when you not only noticed the mess that had been made, but also the unmistakable trail of blood that seemed to be smeared everywhere, leaving a trail that led out of sight towards the kitchen.

You guys made my writing so much better <3
‘So, I guess we won’t have any more privacy at all now,’ you said, clicking your tongue half annoyed and half amused.
‘Did we ever?’ Chan chuckled as he yawned and stretched his arms above his head. You had all been sitting at the dining table for dinner as Han told everyone about his newfound power.
‘But didn’t you already kinda have this power?’ Jeongin asked, leaning back in his chair. ‘I mean I remember you saying that you could know who was where by “listening to the grass” or something.’
‘No but this is different,’ Han said excitedly as he wiggled from side to side on his chair. ‘This is more like… Like x-ray vision or something,’ Han tried to explain. Jeongin crossed his arms over his chest, covering himself and looking indignantly. Han rolled his eyes.
‘It isn’t like that, and besides, it’s nothing I haven’t seen before,’ Han said, annoyed.
‘So how does it work again?’ Minho asked, having finished his dinner like everyone else, but still holding his chopsticks thoughtlessly in his hand.
‘It doesn’t seem to come from plants this time,’ Han said, enthusiastically turning to Minho to explain it once more. ‘And normally I kinda just get “told” the information, but I don’t see anything. But this is different! I can literally look at a floor or a wall, and-’ he said as he looked at the kitchen wall, ‘it’s like it's not even there. I can just see outside, or down, or into a room, as if there are no walls or floors at all.’ Han explained. ‘It feels like… The earth's vibrations itself are within me now and-’ Han went on.
‘Yeah, I gotta go to work,’ Hyunjin interrupted, getting up from his chair and acting like he wasn’t impressed. You knew full well that Hyunjin was very happy for Han and had heard him congratulate his friend as soon as Han had told him, but you also knew he could get a bit tired when Han was in one of his “zones”.
Han continued to talk about his powers with some of the boys as Hyunjin, Jeongin, and Chan one by one left the table for work.
However, as Jeongin bade you goodbye, you noticed him acting a little off and being a bit short with you.
It was only when he shut the front door behind himself that you realized why. After all, you hadn’t been too nice to him when you found out Han was sick. It had been unreasonable of you to react the way you had towards him, even though you had been emotional at the time.
For a moment, you thought about going after him, but you quickly changed your mind.. Although you wanted nothing more than to apologize as soon as possible, doing so at his work might not be the right moment or setting. You made a mental note for yourself to come up with a good apology before you got up from the table to help Changbin with the dishes.
‘Have you heard anything from Seungmin yet?’ you asked Changbin as he rinsed the dishes and handed them to you to put in the dishwasher. Changbin sucked in some air between his teeth.
‘He contacts us every now and then,’ he said thoughtfully, tapping the temples of his head to indicate that it was via mindreading. ‘But he’s being a bit… vague?’ Changbin said, frowning. You looked at him with raised brows. ‘Hm, I’m not sure,’ Changbin shrugged indifferently. ‘You know how Seungmin can get, especially when he’s at work. He won’t explain much. But I think he might’ve found something unexpected or unusual,’ Changbin said thoughtfully, handing you some empty dirty cups.
‘What makes you think that?’ You asked curiously.
‘Well, he should’ve been back already, but it’s been days. He won’t stay out there just because, especially not when you’re here,’ he added, poking you playfully on your cheek with a wet finger.
Changbin’s words made you curious as to what Seungmin would have found in the stars, but you knew it would be of no use asking him until he returned home.
Trying to suppress the wild fantasies of dangerous asteroids, external lifeforms, and new planets, you decided to join the boys for a good old-fashioned evening in front of the TV, watching ridiculous reality programs while sitting on their laps.
The dark ceiling of your bedroom seemed to stare down at you. The longer you lay in bed, the more you felt guilty towards Jeongin and how you behaved towards him. You felt restless but seemed to be unable to come up with an apology that would rectify your inexcusable behavior towards him.
Anxious, you sat up in bed, chewing on your lip as you looked around in the dark.
Shit.
How did you always manage to make things right and at the same time screw up something else?
You slid out of bed but stopped when you stood beside it. Everyone had long gone to sleep by now. You knew Felix had an early shift tomorrow, and Han and Minho already hadn’t gotten much sleep lately. And although Changbin was a great listener, he wasn’t really one to give out advice. You wished Chan were home, as he always knew what to do or say or how to fix or settle things. But you hadn’t heard him come home yet. Nor Hyunjin or Jeongin himself for that matter.
You looked over at the alarm clock. It was only 2 o’clock. Jeongin wouldn’t be home until four at the earliest. You pressed your lips together, thinking, but nothing seemed to come to mind.
Restlessly your feet started to move, small steps in the direction of your door. Quietly, you left your room, your mind feeling like it was a high-speed train, racing by, but the train seemed to be empty somehow and the destination seemed to be nonexistent.
You sighed as your feet stopped in front of Jeongin’s door. You weren’t sure what you were doing there as he wasn’t home anyway, but the guilt gnawing at you wanted to be in his presence any way it could be as if simply being where he usually was could fix things. Even though you knew it couldn't.
Quietly, you opened the door to his room. Even in the dark, you could see it was a bit messy but you had never minded that. Carefully and silently you tiptoed around the pieces of clothing, shoes, and sneakers, and even a few workout instruments until you reached his bed.
The sheets were unmade and his pillows were slumped on top of each other. Trying to think of something to say when he would eventually come back, you started mindlessly making his bed, a task you usually didn’t even like to do for your own bed.
By the time you were done the only sentence that you had thought to say was:
“I’m sorry, I’m a dumb jackass sometimes.”
It clearly didn’t seem to be a good apology.
You sighed, annoyed with yourself, and took a deep breath inward. Jeongin’s soft scent entered your nose and seemed to calm you down a little. You breathed again, his smell warming your heart and making you feel at home. You blinked slowly as exhaustion started to creep up on you. As Jeongin usually used his phone as his alarm clock, there was nowhere you could tell the time. You yawned and your feet took a step towards the bed again.
I want to stay.
Yawning again, and deciding that thinking would be something that was better left to tomorrow, you thoughtlessly got into the bed. Pulling the covers over yourself high, you felt like you were wrapped in him, his warmth and smell seeming to hug you. You allowed yourself to close your eyes for a moment…
‘Y/n?’ A gentle voice whispered. With difficulty, you opened your eyes, but there was nothing much to see except for darkness.
‘Hm?’ You hummed, too sleepy to make another sound.
‘Hey baby, what are you doing in my bed?’ Jeongin’s voice asked softly and with a chuckle.
You frowned for a moment trying to think hard, but your brain was foggy and only choppy sentences seemed to come to you.
‘I am sorry,’ you uttered with difficulty, closing your eyes again. You could feel his hand on your cheek, cupping it, as another was laid on top of your head.
‘What? Why? You don’t have to be sorry that you’re in my bed,’ he chuckled softly. But even with your sleepy brain, you realized that he misunderstood your words.
‘No… I… know…’ you mumbled sleepily. You could feel a finger stroking your forehead, making it even harder to stay awake and tell him what you needed to.
‘Then why are you sorry?’ Jeongin’s hushed voice laughed.
‘I… was mean… Sorry…’ you mumbled with difficulty. The hand on your forehead stopped and stilled for a moment before both hands were pulled back. The sudden coldness made you open your eyes again.
You could only just make out Jeongin’s features in the darkness as he sat beside you, his face level with yours. But it was too dark to make out his expression. Suddenly he bent over to you, kissing you on the forehead with soft lips, lingering for a moment, and causing you to close your eyes once more.
‘It’s alright baby. I love you. I’m over it.’
You inhaled again. His scent was warm, just like his voice.
You could feel the covers being pulled up as he slipped into the bed beside you.
‘Come here,’ he whispered as you felt his arms wrapping around you. You nuzzled your face into his chest, one of your arms around his waist and the other against his heart, which you could feel beating through his shirt. The rhythm of it was all it took for you to fall asleep once more.
A small ray of light was peeking through the curtains when you opened your eyes. You looked over at Jeongin beside you, no longer holding you but fast asleep. His golden hair was a mess and the pillows that you put back neatly last night were already scattered all over again. You smiled. All was well again.
You turned around towards his nightstand to search for his phone. As usual, it was on the charger and you tapped the screen to see the time.
09:30
FUCK
Your panic mode was instantly activated. You shot up from the bed, quickly looking around to make sure you hadn’t woken Jeongin, but he still seemed to be sleeping deeply.
As fast and as quietly as you could, you tiptoed out of his room.
As soon as you closed the door behind you, you threw all caution to the wind. You ran up the stairs back to your room, changing as fast as you could while at the same time trying to wash your face, comb your hair, and brush your teeth. Breakfast would have to wait ‘till lunch.
You grabbed your bag from your desk, not bothering to check whether everything you would need was inside, and sprinted out of the door down the stairs again only to stop in the living room. The house seemed to be deserted. For a moment, you considered waking up Jeongin so he could teleport you to school, but you knew he’d refuse, as it would be too risky to get caught.
Shit
You ran out of the door, closing it behind you and looking at the driveway. All the cars had gone. You cursed Han and Minho for not waking you up this morning, knowing that Han, with his newfound X-ray vision, knew perfectly well that you had still been in the house, asleep with Jeongin.
There was nothing to it. Public transport it had to be. Which would take ages…
Mumbling all the curse words you had learned in your past four years on this earth, you stomped out of the classroom.
‘Well, good morning to you too little miss sunshine,’ Adam’s voice caught you by surprise.
You turned around to face him and simply nodded.
‘Wow okay, bad day?’ He asked, seeing your miserable face.
‘You can say that again,’ you huffed, turning around again to follow the masses towards the school lunchroom.
‘Oh boy,’ Adam chuckled. He walked over to you, putting an arm around your shoulder in a friendly manner. ‘Wanna tell Auntie Adam about it?’ He said in a high-pitched pitched sugary voice.
‘You know those days where nothing seems to go right?’ You asked as you walked with him. Adam nodded, taking his arm off your shoulder and listening to you seriously now. ‘Yeah, well today is one of those days,’ you grumbled.
‘What happened?’ Adam asked, as you entered the lunch room and found a place to sit.
‘I overslept,’ you began.
‘Don’t you have like six roommates who could wake you?’ He said, raising a brow.
‘Eight, but yes, and they didn’t, even though two of the fuckers work here,’ you said teeth clenched irritably as you scanned the room, hoping to see them, but they were nowhere to be found.
‘But skipping a few classes isn’t too bad, right?’ Adam asked, trying to console you but failing. You looked at him sharply.
‘It wouldn’t be normally, BUT,’ you began, as you inhaled deeply, readying yourself to unleash your annoyance. ‘No one was home and all the cars were gone so I had to take public transport, but then I couldn’t find my card so I had to pay with cash, but this stupid-ass bus driver was being difficult and everything, claiming that they didn’t accept cash anymore and he kicked me off! Then I had to wait for the next bus that did accept cash, but then that bus got stranded with a flat tire. Like when does a bus ever get a flat tire?! So I had to walk the last twenty freaking minutes, with this damned weather, before I finally got here. And when I finally got here I remembered that today we would have a guest lecture by some upper-class whats-it for Mr. Kang’s class and that it would last the entire freaking day. And I don’t know if you ever had Mr. Kang, but I’ve never met anyone with a stick up his arse as big as his so of course when I came in three hours too late to his class he gave me shit for it in front of the entire class and of course, he managed to give us an essay to write that I probably won’t be able to finish before I retire, but it has to be finished in two weeks.’
‘Wow,’ Adam said quietly, looking at you with large eyes. ‘Yeah, that sounds like kind of a shitty morning indeed.’ You rolled your eyes at him and stuck out your tongue.
‘Actually,’ he began, bending over and rummaging in his bag, seeming to look for something, ‘I was saving these for Sera, but I think you need it more right now. Ah got it,’ he said. He pulled out what seemed to be an opaque plastic bag. You looked at it curiously. ‘These, my friend, are bonbons from my home country. Best chocolate you’ll ever have, and guaranteed to make your day a little less shitty,’ he said with a grin and a wink. You sighed, but took a chocolate out of the bag he was holding and put it in your mouth just to entertain him.
He wasn’t lying though, the chocolates were extraordinarily tasty.
‘Right?’ he grinned when he saw your surprised face. You nodded approvingly at him.
‘But how have you been?’ you asked, not wanting to be reminded of your annoyances anymore and hoping for some distraction.
‘Fine,’ Adam shrugged, popping a chocolate in his own mouth as well. ‘My mom has been urging me to take Sera to the upcoming family dinner, but Sera isn’t really feeling up to it,’ he said, scrunching his nose, causing the scar on his face to become even more distorted.
‘Why not?’ you asked interested, happy to talk about something else.
‘It’s not that she doesn’t like my family or anything, but my parents have the habit of reverting to our native language whenever it’s just the family. They just kinda seem to forget she’s there or something, or they might think she's such a part of the family that they forget she doesn't speak our language,’ Adam explained.
Adam and you spoke a while about him and his family, their traditions and habits, which now and then differed quite a bit from yours. The conversation started to shift to a new subject when suddenly you felt a tingle on the back of your neck. Automatically, you shifted your eyes away from Adam, looking over his shoulder. Two familiar figures entered the cafeteria.
Minho’s unmistakable gray hair always gathered a lot of attention whenever he appeared somewhere public in the school. He was talking with Han casually, ignoring all the girls who instantly came running at the two of them, asking them all kinds of questions.
For some reason, you could feel your heartbeat increase, your cheeks suddenly glowing.
Minho and Han finally stopped talking when two girls went to stand in front of them blocking their way. You had no way of hearing what they were saying, but it was clear Han responded to them in a friendly but definitive way, which made the girls nod and smile, but cleared the way for the two men.
Your eyes felt like they were glued to the two of them. The urge to get up and go over to them was overwhelming, but for some reason, you couldn’t seem to move. Your stomach seemed to be fluttering as you stared after them while they disappeared out of view again.
‘Hello? Y/n?’ Adam's voice suddenly sounded loud as he snapped his fingers in front of your face. You looked at him startled. ‘You okay?’ he asked worriedly. You blinked a few times as he looked at you with a frown. ‘Your face is all red,’ he noted, unsure.
‘What? Oh sorry, I was just daydreaming,’ you said quickly, unsure about what had just happened.
‘You sure?’ Adam asked worriedly, looking at you inquisitively.
‘You really are starting to sound like Auntie Adam, you know,’ you teased him, trying to get the attention away from yourself. This time it was his turn to click his tongue and roll his eyes at you, but he chuckled.
‘Well, as I was saying before you so rudely decided to check out of the conversation, Sera told me about, well you know,’ he said, suddenly sounding a bit awkward.
‘What?’ you asked, trying to remember what he said but not getting it yet.
‘The erm, boyfriend situation,’ he said, lowering his voice, and looking around to see if anyone heard.
‘Dude, if you’re going to be this awkward about it, I’m not telling Sera anything ever again,’ you said annoyed.
‘No!’ he protested quickly, ‘It’s not that I’m awkward about it. It's fine, great!’ he said quickly. You pursed your lips and pulled up your brows. ‘I’m sorry okay?’ he sighed. ‘I’m really not good with these kinds of things. You know how awkward I can be sometimes. It’s just- I- I guess I just have to get used to the idea, or something,’ he said sheepishly. ‘It’s not like I think it’s weird or anything,’ he added hastily after seeing your face. ‘It’s just, you have to admit it’s not something you encounter every day, and they are your roommates too, so I don’t know…’ he said awkwardly.
‘It’s fine,’ you assured him. ‘I understand it’s unusual and might be awkward for some people. I mean, I didn’t tell you in the first place either because I understand it’s kind of weird. I sure don’t really like other people knowing, but I hope you guys can be cool with it,’ you added, feeling slightly insecure.
‘I’m cool with it,’ Adam said quickly. ‘As long as you’re happy, all’s good right?’
‘I am,’ you said with a smile.
‘By the way, about that double date with me and Sera, I totally get it if you don’t want to go, you know,’ he added a little softer.
‘You know you’re saying all the wrong things, don’t you?’ you told him dryly. Adam slapped himself on the good side of his face.
‘Let me rephrase that; I would totally love to do that double date with you and your- your boyfriends, but I hope you don’t feel pressured. I know what Sera’s like,’ he explained.
‘That’s better,’ you chuckled. ‘I have to admit, the idea felt a little scary at first, but now that I think about it, I think it could actually be quite nice.’
Adam smiled and nodded at your response as the bell finally rang. You groaned.
‘I guess it’s back to another few hours of guest lecture hell,’ you sighed.
‘Here, take these,’ Adam said, handing you the bag of bonbons, 'at least you’ll have something to snack on.’
‘What about Sera?’ you asked, taking the bag from him.
‘I’ll just ask my parents to bring more next month when they’re back. Just don’t tell her you got them from me and she’ll never know,’ he said, getting up and swinging his bag over his shoulder. ‘Oh, and don’t get caught snacking in class, either.’
There was a knock on the door of your room.
‘Hm?’ you said, not looking up from the book on your messy desk. As soon as you had gotten home, you sprinted in a straight line to your room. Although the day had been hell and the guest lecture boring, something the guest said had triggered an idea for your essay for Mr. Kang, and you were eager to get it done as fast as possible.
You had already been sitting at your desk for quite a few hours, studying, reading, and researching for the paper frantically, hoping the hyperfocus would last as long as it could.
You could hear the door opening. Even without looking up, you knew who it was immediately. His scent instantly seemed to intoxicate you, but you refused to let it take over, staring fiercely at the page of your book.
‘Are you coming down to eat?’ Chan asked you, staying in the doorway. You prayed he wouldn’t come in, knowing you’d truly lose all focus and not knowing when you’d be able to continue again.
‘Maybe later,’ you grumbled, eyes still fiercely locked on a word you suddenly couldn’t read anymore. The urge to look over at him was pulling at you hard, and you had to press your lips together to stay focused.
‘You know you do have to eat something baby,’ Chan said softly. His voice was so sweet, so low and caring. You wanted him to come over to you, to touch you.
Get it together!
‘Later,’ you repeated forcefully, closing your eyes now.
‘Alright, but promise you’ll take good care of yourself, okay?’ he added kindly. You could only nod.
It was only when you heard the door close behind you that you dared to open your eyes and breathe again.
What the hell was going on with you?
You hadn’t been like this since you found out you were a goddess. Why was your body acting so… immature?
You shook your head wildly.
No. This was not the time to think about these things. You had to focus. You had to get as far as possible with that paper, knowing there would be no way you would be able to finish it properly on time otherwise.
You put the questions out of your head and forced yourself to re-read the page until your focus returned.
An odd pain in your neck woke you up. You lifted your head slowly, feeling the muscle in your neck had been in the wrong position for too long. Looking down, you saw all the scattered papers and books you had used earlier. You checked your laptop quickly, but the file was fine and saved. Annoyed at yourself that you had somehow fallen asleep while writing the paper, you got up from your desk and stretched. Instantly, you felt your stomach rumble.
Crap, you forgot to eat.
You looked over at the time on your computer, noticing it was already nighttime. You hesitated for a second, feeling tired and wanting to go to sleep properly in your bed. But you had promised Chan to eat something and your stomach was probably rumbling too loud for you to be able to sleep anyway. Deciding there was no other option, you quietly left your room, not wanting to wake any of the others. On your tiptoes, you made your way to the top of the stairs to go down until-
‘That long?!’ you heard Jeongin say shocked. You stopped to listen.
‘Shut up,’ you heard Chan’s voice hiss at him. ‘You’ll wake her.’
‘Sorry but, why does it matter? She’ll find out anyways,’ Hyunjin said with a dry chuckle.
‘Yeah, it’s not like we can really hide it when it happens,’ Changbin added.
‘That’s exactly the reason why,’ Chan argued, ‘We can’t hide it so we’ll have to keep her safe.’
‘You really expect her to not notice anything during the entire solstice?’ Minho scoffed.
‘We’ll just have to try and avoid her as much as we can,’ Chan said, starting to sound a bit desperate.
‘She’s our Goddess, Chan, we can’t hide from her,’ Minho objected.
‘Besides, who says it won’t affect her either?’ Seungmin suddenly chimed in.
Your heart made a little jump at the sound of his voice. You had missed him more than you had admitted to yourself and were overjoyed to hear his voice again. But something told you to stay put. They all seemed to be downstairs, talking about something important, but what you didn’t quite understand yet. And what was more, they were planning on not telling you. Slowly you crouched down, sharpening your ears.
‘Actually, that’s quite a good point,’ Felix said thoughtfully.
‘I’ll contact Namjoon about it. See if he or Lady can tell us more,’ Chan said quickly.
‘Are you going to tell them you’ll keep it from her too?’ Minho said prodding.
‘She has the right to know, Chan.’ Changbin agreed. More agreeing voices sounded. The sound of a chair being pushed back entered your ears.
‘We have to keep her safe,’ Chan said, his voice sounding authoritative but desperate. ‘Changbin, how many times did we have to put out fires last solstice? And Seungmin, how many storms did you cause last time? Nearly flooded the country for heaven’s sake,’ he growled. A grumble could be heard from both parties. ‘And I don’t even want to think of what Felix or Hyunjin would do to her…’ Chan added, his voice sounding worried.
A snort could be heard.
‘You think this is funny?’ Chan asked sharply.
‘Not really,’ Minho sounded casually. ‘But it does sound a little silly, don’t you think?’
‘Why so?’ Chan asked, his voice a dangerous and cold calmness.
‘Well, have we ever harmed each other during a solstice?’ Minho asked simply. It was silent for a minute.
‘Not really, but-’ Chan began but he got caught off.
‘Precisely. We haven’t. I know you keep going on about her supposedly fragile human side and all, but you keep forgetting she is a goddess. Our goddess. And the solstice only amplifies. Meaning her goddess will be amplified as well,’ Minho argued.
‘We don’t know that yet, though,’ Seungmin spoke. ‘For all we know she might not be affected at all, I think we should just-’
‘Han,’ Chan suddenly interrupted.
‘Wh-what?’ Han replied, startled.
‘What are you looking at?’ Chan asked sharply. Your heart stopped. You had totally forgotten about Han’s newfound X-ray powers and there was no way he hadn’t seen you crouching here on top of the stairs. Your body froze up as you waited for his reply.
‘Nothing. There was a mosquito on the ceiling,’ Han said quickly.
‘Felix?’ Chan said authoritatively.
‘Look, if I gotta keep up with every living ant that crawls around here I’d go mad,’ Felix said defensively.
Chan sighed and it was silent again for a moment. You thanked Han and Felix for not ratting you out but wondered why they kept your secret.
‘Look,’ he began in a softer tone, ‘I don’t like it either, but as Seungmin said, the solstice is coming earlier than he had calculated. We’ve talked about a contingency plan when we first took her in, but we never got around to it and now we're running out of time. So all I’m asking is to just give me some time to figure this out,’ Chan proposed.
There was some soft mumbling and you could hardly make out their intentions.
‘We all want to keep her safe right?’ Chan asked. Everyone hummed agreeingly. ‘Then let’s just keep our distance until I’ve heard back from Namjoon, okay?’ Chan suggested.
‘Even us?’ Jeongin said. You figured he would be pointing at some of the members.
‘Our powers are amplified but also unbalanced. We can’t take any risks,’ Chan said determinately.
There was silence again for a bit.
‘So when will you go?’ Han asked after a minute.
‘I have to work tonight,’ Chan answered. ‘But as soon as I’m done I will go to them.’
‘So it’ll just be for tomorrow morning then, the distance thing?’ Jeongin said hopefully.
‘There are no guarantees they have answers for us. I don’t know if they experience solstices like we do, or how many they’ve had. Let alone how many they’ve had with Lady. We might be in the same line of work, but we’re still very different from them,’ Chan argued.
‘Then what if they don’t have an answer?’ Changbin asked the same question that was on your mind.
Chan didn’t answer.
The sound of wind dispersing in a small room could be heard. Your body seemed to unfreeze and as quick as you could you tiptoed back to your room.
Closing the door behind you, you let yourself fall on your bed, turning to face the ceiling, your hunger from earlier completely disappeared.
You felt somewhat dizzy as the conversation you just overheard replayed itself over and over in your head, two words especially lingering with a dangerous tinge to it.

'Hey, look at me,' Felix spoke. You looked over at him, your hands still fidgeting with the straps of your bag sitting on your lap.
Felix had insisted on taking you to school today, as Minho had already left, having to arrive early to be on time to prepare for the lessons he had to teach that day. Minho hadn't said much, and you were sure he was the only one who was as doubtful about the entire situation as you were. When Hyunjin had left your room, he had returned to Han, continuing to monitor him and relieving Felix from his post. You had gotten ready far too slowly, your head still going back and forth between believing and trusting in Hyunjin and the urge to run back into Han's room. By the time you were done, Minho had already left. You knew you had been slow on purpose, hoping that being unable to catch a ride with Minho would give you the excuse to stay home. Somewhere you suspected that that was why Minho hadn't announced his departure, nor given you a heads-up and final call like he usually did. You suspected he too would prefer it if you were to stay home with Han, even if it would hinder your academic success. But Han wouldn't have it. When Felix had left his room it seemed like Han had given him a mission of making sure you would get to school today. After checking your bag for the umpteenth time, pretending you weren't sure if you had packed your favorite pen, notebook, and charger, Felix was starting to lose his patience and urged you out of the house. For the entire drive to school, you sat beside him silently, fiddling with your bag nervously as you kept imagining Han's pale and sick face.
Felix gave you a kind smile.
'We've arrived,' he said simply. You looked out the window again, seeing the familiar building, with many people coming and going to and from the entrance.
'Right,' you said, quickly opening the door and jumping from your seat.
You heard the other car door open and close, and as you were about to take a step towards the school, Felix halted you. He rested his hands upon your shoulders and turned you to face him, hands not leaving you.
'He'll be alright by the time you get home,' Felix assured you, repeating Hyunjin's words.
'How do you know?' You asked, insecurity lacing your tone. Felix sighed.
'Trust Hyunjin. He knows what he's talking about. I know it's scary and all, one of us being sick for the first time, but I'm sure he is right. There is no doubt in my heart that his diagnosis is incorrect. So trust him,' Felix urged.
'I do but…' you began, hesitating for a moment, 'but how can he look like that, be so sick… just because of.. love… is it… it's… because of me, right?'
'Oh baby,' he said with a chuckle, taking you into his arms and hugging you tightly.
'None of this is your fault, and no one could've ever seen this coming. We only just found out too, even Hyunjin had a hard time placing his finger on it,' Felix said in a comforting tone.
'But how can he be that sick?' you pressed on worriedly. Felix let go of you, putting his hands on your shoulders once more and looking at you warmly.
'We might be gods, but we don't know everything, you know,' he said with a chuckle. 'Honestly, I don't know why he is as sick as he is, and why he is the only one,' Felix admitted truthfully, looking thoughtful, 'but I know illnesses and I know they can affect different beings in very different ways, even if they are the same species. Besides, it's what Hyunjin always says; the power love holds over all things is severely underestimated. I've seen many pets miraculously cured of diseases that I personally had diagnosed and pronounced terminal, just because of the love they got from their humans. Mind you, of course, that's not for every pet, and that doesn't mean they don't get enough love but-' he added, but seeing your face he quickly stopped and cleared his throat. 'Anyhow, what I was saying is that, as Jinnie always persists, love has more power than we realize and works in mysterious ways.' Felix ended.
'He will get better,' you said, stating it to convince yourself.
'He will get better,' Felix said definitely. 'And he is already getting better as a matter of fact. Just when you left I noticed his heartbeat seemed to be getting back to normal and even his color and scent seemed to be slowly returning to its original state,' Felix said seriously but with a smile.
You nodded.
'Now, no more dawdling because Han will give me an earful, as soon as his voice is recovered, if I do not get you to your next lesson on time,' he laughed. You couldn't help but chuckle a bit at his remark. He let go of your shoulders, and one of his hands took hold of your chin.
'Can I see your pretty smile one more time before you leave?' he asked sweetly. You smiled for him, a real smile and a bit of warmth seemed to return to your insides. 'That's my baby,' he grinned. He bent towards you, planting a soft kiss on your lips before withdrawing again. You could instantly feel yourself blushing. 'Just making sure I won't get sick as well,' he teased. You pouted at him and he winked, letting go of your face and waving you goodbye as you walked up to the school.
'WHYYYYYY are you not just addicted to your phone like the rest of us,' an irritated voice spoke. Before you could look around, you were being jumped, an arm around your neck pulling you into a headlock.
'Sera!' you said her name, laughing but trying to get free.
'No! I told you I would kill you when you'd get back, so get it girl,' she laughed, rubbing her hand over your hair and messing it up. You squealed and giggled, trying to get loose but she wouldn't let go until she was satisfied.
'There,' she said huffing as she let go of you, putting her hands on her hips and looking at your messed up hair proudly, 'totally killed your vibe.'
'I guess I had it coming,' you chuckled, trying to flatten your hair again with your hands.
'Yes, you did. And after my lecture yesterday, you still didn't react to my messages this morning,' Sera said, tutting and shaking her head like a disappointed parent.
'Oh, shit, Sera I'm sorry,' you said, quickly pulling out your phone and checking it. You indeed had quite a few unread messages. Sera sighed but smiled.
'It's fine,' she said, waving her hand dismissively. 'I'm just happy you're here and you're fine. Wanna have lunch then?' she asked, pointing with her thumb over her shoulder in the direction of the cafeteria. You nodded.
'Where's Adam? You asked her, looking around but not spotting his blonde hair anywhere.
'Class,' Sera said simply, pulling up her nose and shrugging.
The two of you made your way to the cafeteria, chatting about her weekend. By the time you got seated and started eating, the conversation slowly shifted to your weekend.
'So erm, how did your weekend end?' Sera asked, suddenly sounding apprehensive. You looked up, a feeling of suspicion instantly upon you.
'Why do you ask?' You said, slightly sharper than you had intended to. Sera looked away for a second. You could see her chewing the inside of her cheek thoughtfully for a second, an expression on her face that seemed almost doubtful.
'I…' she began, pausing for a moment, then hesitantly continuing as she straightened her back, 'I incidentally saw you arriving this morning. My class was boring and you just happened to be right outside of my window,' she added quickly, hesitating and pausing again. 'I saw you with some guy- a different one I mean,' she said meaningfully, 'Don't get me wrong,' she quickly added, putting her hands up. 'I mean, I just,' she said, her face suddenly becoming quite pink. 'I'm a curious person, okay?' she insisted, her cheeks blushing and nervously scooting over the bench. You could feel yourself holding your breath. 'It's just- I'm normally very good at reading people, but you… You're different. Good different though! Not like I think you're an alien or something,' she giggled nervously. You had never seen Sera like this before. You knew her to be a confident person, resolute. But you wouldn't be thrown off by her behavior, holding your mouth shut and keeping a face of steel. 'It's just, you're a bit unlike other girls our age you know. As I said, for one, you're not addicted to your phone and stuff,' she said, smiling awkwardly and pausing again. Then she suddenly sighed. 'Uhg okay, I'mma just come out with it,' she said suddenly. Your heart felt like it stopped.
'Are you poly?'
'Wh-What?' you asked, blinking.
'You know, polyamourous. In more than one relationship. Like multiple boyfriends,' she pressed on, looking eager now. You scanned her face. This was what she had known, what she had been asking about, hinting at, fishing for. It hadn't been about you, or your divinity, nor the boys or their powers. This was all.
You suddenly started to laugh, unable to help yourself. The apprehension, caution, and fear instantly slipped away from you. She could be trusted. It was safe. You knew. Your Goddess knew.
Sera looked at you uncomfortably, probably slightly startled by your burst of laughter and still waiting anxiously for you to respond.
'I'm sorry,' you chuckled, seeing her stressed face, 'I know what it means, it was just really unexpected that you asked,' you began.
'I'm so sorry,' Sera said quickly. 'I shouldn't have jumped to conclusions, it's just, people and relationships really interest me and I might've watched just one too many dramas and-,' she rattled but you quickly cut her off.
'No Sera, it's fine,' you said as you stopped chuckling and gave her a reassuring smile. You were sure you could tell her. You could see her light now. See it was dim like the other humans, but pure and safe. 'Yes. Yes, you're right,' you answered her question.
Sera looked at you with big eyes and slowly a smug smile appeared on her face.
'I knew it! I swear I fucking knew it. Adam wouldn't listen to me. I mean he doesn't know, I didn't tell him, I was just fishing for information, but that boy can't take a hint,' she said, shaking her head and rolling her eyes. 'But ever since I saw you with Mr. Hwang and then when you left with the other guy at that birthday party,' she said, giving you a meaningful look that told you she had known what you and Minho had been up to back then, 'and then the others. I mean I swear every single time was coincidental okay. It's not like I'm some weird creep who's spying on you, but it just turned out that way, honestly. I wasn't sure if I should say anything because you weren't saying anything and-' Sera babbled on. Clearly, she was completely in her element.
'Well, it is kind of an awkward topic to talk about I guess,' you said truthfully. She instantly shut her mouth and looked at you.
'Oh shit, sorry. You want me to shut up?' she asked quickly. You shook your head smiling.
'Nah, it's fine. Actually, I think it would be nice finally being able to talk to someone about it, to be honest,' you said truthfully.
'Oh thank god, good. Okay,' she said, bending over to you eagerly, 'gimme all the deets.'
'Well, erm, I don't know where to start,' you said, frowning, thinking.
'Okay, so I figured it's at least four or something right?' she said eagerly.
'Erm, eight actually,' you admitted.
'EIGHT?' she exclaimed loudly, her eyes growing big. You kicked her under the table.
'Shut it!' you hissed but giggled, 'I mean I'm fine with you knowing but I don't need the whole school to know.'
'Right, right, right, sorry,' she said, rubbing her painful shin but still looking eager. 'So I guess that means it's all of your roommates then, isn't it?' she asked. You nodded. Sera mouthed a silent "Wow".
'But eight? Really? Isn't that like,' she raised her eyebrows meaningfully and continued in a whisper, 'a lot of work.' You felt yourself blush and she wiggled her eyebrows, leaning back in her seat, your change of color apparently giving her enough of an answer.
'You know, good for you,' she said, putting her hand up in an okay sign and looking smug. 'I mean I can't even deal with one knucklehead now and then, but eight… Pfft kudos to you,' she chuckled.
'Don't you… find it weird?' you asked, feeling awkward yourself now as well. Sera raised her brows and this time it was her turn to laugh at your question.
'Honey, you're asking an adopted pansexual girl with an interracial lesbian immigrant couple as parents. Nothing is weird to me,' she shrugged.
It was hard to believe she really didn't think it was weird, but she seemed to be more curious than judgemental regarding the situation.
The rest of the break she spent bombarding you with eager questions about your relationship with the boys and the dynamics in the house.
By the time the bell rang for your next class, Sera wasn't done asking questions yet.
'I really have to go to class now,' you laughed as you saw Sera racking her brain for another question she could ask quickly before you'd go. Sera pouted.
'You know you can always text me, right?' you chuckled as you got up from your seat and gathered your belongings.
'It's not like you'd answer anyways,' Sera said sticking her tongue out at you playfully. You laughed and were just about to turn around when she grabbed your arm.
'Wait!' She said quickly, sounding eager.
'Wha-hat? I have to goooo,' you said impatiently as many others were leaving.
'Let's go on a double date!' Sera suggested enthusiastically.
'I-what?' you said, taken aback by her question.
'A double date. Or, wait, what do you call it when it's with multiple people? Okay never mind,' she said quickly when she saw your face. 'But please, let's do it. I swear it'll be fun! We can get to know each other, make friends,' she suggested. When she saw your doubtful face she continued. 'Come on, I bet you've never been able to go somewhere on a date with all of them. I promise we'll pick somewhere busy, that way you won't stand out too much.'
You hesitated. You had been to places with all of them, of course. But never really on a date…
'We could do the funfair! It's always super crowded and no one will notice, trust me. The weekend after next? Saturday at eight. We'll meet you at the entrance.'
Before you could object, Sera grabbed your hand and shook it before running off with the leaving masses, leaving you behind slightly bewildered.
You blinked a few times and then chuckled. Sera was unlike anyone you had ever met. But it was nice having a human friend with whom you could be more open and trusting. It'd be nice to feel normal for a bit.
Minho was already standing by the car, waiting to take you home from school. Seeing him from a distance made your heart pound faster. Not just because he always looked so dashing in his brown suit, gray hair, and glasses, but because you were a little scared. He had been sweet to you this morning like he always was, but you had failed him as a goddess. You know how much he treasured you and knew how much you being his goddess meant to him, and you were scared he'd be mad at you for what you had done, or more so the lack thereof. You also knew how much Han meant to him and what it would do to him to see Han so sickly. With all of these thoughts swirling in your head, you took a deep breath and walked up to him.
You were slightly surprised to see that the dark circles around his eyes seemed to have almost disappeared. He looked healthier somehow, even though he'd had a long day of working.
'Hi Lino,' you said with a small voice as you approached him. He gave you a smile and a curt nod, holding the door open for you as you got into the car, but he didn't say anything.
During most of the drive, he was silent, and your heart started to sink again, lower and lower with every silent minute that passed by.
You were just about to say something, anything to break the silence. An apology or any words that could comfort him, tell him you were sorry and would never forgive yourself for what you had done when he suddenly spoke.
'It's not your fault you know,' he said suddenly and softly. You looked over at him somewhat startled. This was the last thing you expected him to say.
'I-what?' you said, feeling dumbstruck.
'You know it's not your fault right?' Minho repeated. 'None of us could've ever seen this coming,' he elaborated. You were silent for a second.
'But it is my fault,' you whispered, looking down at your lap, your heart sinking once more. Minho clicked his tongue.
'If you really wanna blame yourself, go ahead, but know that we don't,' he said simply. 'Honestly, we blame ourselves for not realizing what a mess we are without you,' he added softly. You weren't sure how to respond. You felt quite sheepish, staring out of the window, looking at the streets you passed by. 'We should've known we can't be without you anymore... And we should've called you to come back,' he said, then suddenly he clicked his tongue angrily, smacking his hands irritably against the steering wheel. 'I should've never listened to him!' He said with a sudden intensity, his eyes straight on the road. 'I begged him to call you, but he wouldn't let me. I could barely convince him to let Felix check him out. I don't know how Felix managed to convince him to let Hyunjin check on him as well…' Minho said, grabbing the steering wheel hard until his knuckles went white. You looked at him in shock. You couldn't remember if you had ever seen him so angry. 'He should've just let me call you,' he repeated with clenched teeth. 'It would've never gotten as far as it had. I know he's fine now, but he looked like dog shit,' he grumbled. His anger seemed to die down and he sighed, putting on his blinker and taking a right turn.
You were surprised with Minho's anger, which seemed to be directed at himself. This was not what you expected. You suddenly realized that the look on his face was nothing but a mirror of your own feelings; disappointment, annoyance, and anger, all directed at himself. You wanted to help him, to comfort him, but how could you, as you had no way of stopping yourself from feeling the same way.
'He's doing better now?' you repeated with a small voice, a lame attempt at making him feel better even though you barely did.
'Yeah, he is,' Minho said with a nod. He sounded calm again. You could see him straightening his shoulders and letting out a quiet sigh, as if to breathe out his feelings, before he started speaking again. 'He called me during the break and he seems to be back to normal again,' he said.
'He called you?' you asked, feeling hurt that Han hadn't contacted you in any way.
'Yeah, video call. He looked quite normal again, so don't worry about it, okay? It really wasn't your fault,' Minho said once more. But his words simply made you feel shittier. The fact that Han hadn't contacted you broke your heart. Was he angry with you? But Minho said they didn't blame you, even though you did yourself. Why hadn't he called you? Why?
'Han?' You knocked on his door softly, but there was no response. You knocked again, calling louder this time. Still, no response. You sighed, withdrawing your hand from the door and turning around. But just when you were about to take another step, you changed your mind. You knew Han was in there. You were sure. And according to all the other guys, he was doing fine now, almost like nothing ever happened. And Minho had assured you he wasn't mad at you, although you were mad at yourself. But you knew your heart would not be at ease until you saw him.
You turned around to face the door again. Maybe he was asleep. Maybe that's why he hadn't answered. You could imagine he hadn't slept too well for several days and now that he was better, it might've finally caught up to him.
You weren't one to go into other's rooms if they weren't there. You never really snooped, nor entered without their permission. But this time you didn't care. You had to see him for yourself. You had to be sure he was doing alright.
Slowly and quietly you turned the handle, opening the door to peek inside.
Han was sitting on his bed, his back turned to you as he seemed to be staring out of the window.
'Hannie?' you said his name softly, scared to startle him. He turned his head towards your voice but stopped halfway, showing he was listening but not responding, nor looking at you.
You bit your lip and walked over to him, but as soon as you got close to him he turned his face away from you. You stopped in your tracks, hesitating for a moment. No, you need to talk to him. Pushing through your anxiety you went to sit next to him on the bed.
'Hannie?' you said, repeating his name in a steadier voice this time. He still didn't look at you. You needed to make contact. You could feel your inner Goddess, like she was tapping you on the shoulder, asking you to give her space. You took a deep breath, in and out, and opened your mind.
Although his light shone bright, there was a certain dimness to it. Carefully, you took his hand into yours, caressing it with your thumb.
'I am sorry, Hannie,' you spoke softly, 'for letting you down. For not being there, and not doing my duty properly as your goddess.'
Finally, he turned his face to yours. His green eyes looked at you incredulously.
'How could you say such a thing?' he whispered, shaking his head and frowning. He grabbed the hand that you had used to stroke his tightly with both of his hands. 'Don't you ever say that again,' he said almost angrily. 'Don't you know how it hurts us when you are hurting?' he spoke.
You gave him a sad smile, squeezing his hands for a moment. As Minho had said, he hadn't blamed you for a second.
Suddenly he let go of your hands and turned his face away from yours again.
'It's me…' he whispered suddenly. 'I am the problem… I am… weak.' He said the words painfully, clearly disgusted with himself. It broke your heart. Tears welled up in your eyes.
'Don't you ever say that again,' you repeated his words back to him, your voice trembling with the pain you felt for him.
Han simply huffed, his eyes still locked on the floor. 'You know it's true y/n,' he said bitterly. 'I am weak. I was the only one who got sick, the only one affected so ridiculously. None of the other boys were even close to… my state of being,'
'But they were all sick,' you stopped him before he could continue. 'They told me none of them were feeling right. Everyone was unwell in their own way. Maybe you just didn't see because-'
'-Because I was the sickest of them all?' Han interrupted you. He scoffed. 'Yeah, like I said, none of them were close to being as "lovesick" as I was. Clearly, I am the weakest of the bunch,' he said angrily. 'I mean, I guess I've always known it. I mean look at them, look at their cool powers. Lino being time itself, Chan taking care of souls, Seungmin making this planet liveable, Hyunjin making life worth living. I mean I could go on, but it's clear all their powers are way cooler and way more important than mine. I mean what do I do? I talk to plants. So what? Big deal. Nothing cool or sexy about it. I should just-'
'Han Jisung!' You said his name so loudly and suddenly that he jumped. He instantly turned his head to face you once more, looking at you with big watery green eyes. You had never used his first name with him. From day one he had always been "Han" by his own request or "Hannie" since it sounded like the pet name "Honey" which he enjoyed. 'I won't allow you to talk about yourself like that,' you said sternly. Han simply scowled and was about to look away again when you grabbed both of his hands tightly and continued talking.
'You are everything,' you said to him slowly in a lowered voice, the words now coming from your heart. A small crease appeared between his brows and you continued. 'You are every breath we inhale and exhale. You are the light that keeps us warm and the shade that shelters us. You are the water we drink and the blue skies that we see. You are life,' you said insistently and seriously. You could see Han's jaw tightening, a habit he adopted from Chan. 'You are all of the others, as they are you. And without you, they wouldn't and couldn't be.' Your voice almost turned into a whisper and you paused for a second. You knew he was listening. Not just him, but his aethereal self. You could see how his light responded to your words. But his pained expression and self-doubt weren't gone yet.
'Without you, I wouldn't be,' you whispered to him, softly squeezing his hands. His face started to relax somewhat now. The painful knot in your chest that seemed to mirror his own lessened, even though your watery eyes weren’t dry just yet.
'Hannie,' you said his name once more, his sweet name that you loved to speak so much. His lips quivered for a moment. 'I can still remember back when I wasn't aware yet… The first time I saw your gift…' you said, the words suddenly feeling so emotional that they were hard to speak. 'I remember seeing you, just through the crack of the door, seeing you make that beautiful flower bloom,' you pointed over your shoulder at the plant on his drawers next to the door. 'It was the most beautiful thing I've ever seen,' you whispered as a tear rolled down your face. Han looked at you, his brows slightly raised now, as his eyes were filling with tears too.
'You give life, Hannie,' you said, letting go of his hands and catching a tear on his cheek with your pinky finger. 'How can you forget that?'
'I-I haven't, I just-,' Han stammered as more tears fell from his face.
'You don't have to be cool or sexy. You don't have to be strong either,' you added. 'You just have to be you. You have to remember who you are, what you are. Don't let those human emotions get in your way of knowing how special you are,' you said, shaking your head.
Han nodded in response. The tears that were falling from his face seemed to contain the darkness that was covering his light. You looked into him, seeing his light shining brighter than ever as he softly smiled at you. You smiled back at him and sighed deeply. Your goddess retreated into the shadows once more, knowing that the job was done. You lean over to him, putting your forehead against his, noses aligned and touching. You felt yourself breathing in his scent, and the tears in your eyes finally seemed to dry.
'I've been such a fool, my love,' Han whispered. You smiled softly, your heads still touching. 'I let envy and frustration overtake me. You're right. I guess I forgot who I was there for a moment.'
You slowly withdrew your face from his, smiling at him and seeing him smile at you.
'It's okay Hannie, that's what I'm here for,' you said kindly to him.
'I know, but still, I was acting a little dramatic I guess,' Han said with a sheepish grin, scratching the back of his neck awkwardly. 'Having a human part of us sometimes is a little-' he spoke, but suddenly stopped. He turned his head away from you, looked at the door, and frowned. He blinked a few times, then turned his head again, looking at the wall that was separating his room from Minho's. Han raised an eyebrow.
'Han? What is happening?' You asked, feeling apprehensive. Han put up a hand to silence you as he stared at the wall for another second before he looked down at the floor. He scoffed for a moment and then suddenly started laughing.
'Han what-?' you asked again, getting kind of concerned now. But he wasn't listening.
'No way,' he whispered to himself, getting up from the bed, and, for a moment, totally seeming to forget you. He walked a few paces, still looking down, before stopping again and chuckling once more. 'No way!' he laughed before looking at you again with a wide grin.
Startled by his unexpected reaction, you pulled at your goddess for help, but you instantly felt that it would be no use as if you had used up all of your credits for the day. You got up too now.
'Han, what-?' you repeated taking a few steps before it suddenly dawned on you. Han still didn't respond but simply grinned at you. 'Oh,' you breathed. Han simply nodded, understanding that you understood.
WRITERS NOTE
Thank you all so much for your continuous support. I understand that you had to wait for a long time but I simply have too little time to write.
I try my best to write when I can, and your encouragement, kind words, and fun reactions really make me happy<3
However, I'd like to ask some of you to please understand that rushing or pushing me won't make things go faster and will only make me feel bad :(
I have been working on this series for over two years already, and I am currently working on Chapter 50 (!).
Although I really do love this story, it has been quite difficult, tiring, and time-consuming work (for me as well as for my lovely editors) at some times.
I love writing a lot and I post this story for free on multiple platforms because I want everyone to be able to enjoy reading this for free as I too know all too well what it's like to have no money to spare for your hobby or favorite artist (life is expensive ya'll, I know that)
So please, if you enjoy my story, give it a vote or a nice comment, and trust that I will come back with a new chapter for you to love, even though it might take longer than you'd like (trust me, it takes me longer than I would like as well).
Please remember, that creativity cannot be forced or rushed.
Once again, thank you all so much for all the love, votes and comments, and trust that I will be back with more. I appreciate every single one of you <3

Sleepily, you shuffled into the kitchen, Jeongin's hands on your shoulders as he pushed you gently forward. You had done your best to convince him that you'd call in sick to uni today, but he wasn't having it.
Felix's head turned away from the furnace and he spotted you, an instant glowing smile on his face.
'You're back!' He said happily, dropping his pans and rushing over to you. Before you could even blink he wrapped his arms around you, forcing Jeongin's hands from your shoulders, and hugging you tightly.
'We've missed you,' he whispered softly into your ear with his low voice.
'Don't break her,' Jeongin grumbled, but Felix's hold on you wasn't painful. You could smell his warm homey scent, his hair and clothes already smelling like the pancakes he was making for breakfast. Being in his embrace made you want to instantly fall asleep again, lying in his arms, but a prodding finger in your back made you blink and let go.
'Hey, don't you fall asleep again, missy,' Jeongin warned. Felix let go of you and raised his brows at Jeongin. You turned around to stick your tongue out at him.
Last night, after you had taken a shower to clean up together, Jeongin had urged you to go to bed early. He reassured you that he would get your stuff and tell Seungmin he'd taken you home. You instantly objected, feeling super awkward and guilty, but Jeongin insisted and your body felt too tired to fight him on it. So eventually you gave in and laid down in his bed, falling asleep almost instantly. When you awoke again, it was already morning. Jeongin was standing beside you, nudging you softly and telling you it was time to get up and get ready for school.
'I don't want to fight Han and Lino as well,' he grumbled as he softly nudged you in the direction of a chair.
'As well, what do you mean?' you said, suddenly feeling wide awake and turning around to look at him, feeling worried. Jeongin clicked his tongue.
'Can you stop worrying for once, sit down and eat. Felix, are any of the pancakes ready yet?' He evaded your question and looked at Felix.
'Oh shit, right,' he said quickly, running back to his now slightly smoking pans and continuing his cooking.
'Innie- Seungmin- how- what did he say?' You asked nervously, sitting down on a chair but fidgeting with the hem of the shirt Jeongin lent you.
Jeongin shrugged and sat down next to you. 'He was quite busy, to be honest,' he said vaguely.
'Jeongin! Just tell me!' You said kicking him under the table. He hissed and pouted at you.
'Fine, he wasn't too happy about you leaving so suddenly, but he understood,' Jeongin began, but upon seeing your face he quickly added in a low whisper, 'He didn't seem to mind what happened too much but still, we all prefer to keep you to ourselves don't we?' he said with a shrug. You still felt uneasy about the whole situation. 'Relax,' he said, putting his hand on your knee and looking at you earnestly. 'I swear, it was fine. He was very busy and he understood you were needed back home. He just wanted me to take good care of you.'
Looking into his golden eyes, you knew he meant it. Seungmin hadn't been mad or disappointed about it and everything was alright. You took a deep breath and let out a deep sigh, feeling your heart becoming at ease.
Felix started serving the two of you breakfast and after a while, Changbin came stumbling into the kitchen as well. His hair seemed a mess and the bright red roots of his hair seemed to be grown out more than ever. He yawned for a bit until he saw you. He blinked a few times, then a wide smile appeared on his face. Before you could even say or do anything he was already attacking you, bringing you into a bear hug.
'Can't breathe Binnie!' You laughed, still half a bite of pancake in your mouth as you tried to speak. He quickly let go of you, checking your face thoroughly. He apparently concluded you were well and smiling again, stroking your hair while kissing your head.
Shortly after Changbin released you and you resumed eating breakfast, a dark figure came peaking around the corner.
'Channie!' You said as a messy-haired, dark-circled Bang Chan shuffled into the kitchen sleepily. Seeing you, his eyes instantly cleared up and he smiled broadly, opening his arms for you. You ran over to him, jumping into his arms for him to hold you.
'Glad you're back babygirl,' he said, as he too nuzzled his face into the crook of your neck, tickling you. You were so glad to see your boys again, even though it had only been a few days.
After you finished eating, you tried to get Felix to eat. Offering to take over the cooking instead and promising you wouldn't let anything burn this time. However, you suddenly heard footsteps again.
Minho entered the room, looking tired but already dressed in his usual suit and glasses, college professor style. He stopped in his tracks seeing you and raised his brows in surprise for a moment.
'Lino!' You said his name happily, standing up quickly from your chair. You pushed Felix in it instead and ran over to him. He hugged you back, kissing the top of your head.
'Was about time you finally came back home,' he mumbled to you. You looked up at him with a broad smile, as he smiled back at you for a moment. 'Now where are those pancakes, cuz I'm starving,' he grumbled.
'Right!' Felix said instantly, jumping up from his chair again and returning to the kitchen. Admitting defeat, you went back to your chair again and sat down, looking around the table and enjoying their handsome faces that you'd missed so much.
However, your gaze lingered on Minho for a bit. He had unusual dark circles under his eyes. You knew he often stayed up late, grading papers and preparing his next lessons, but you had rarely seen it have any effect on him.
Then suddenly you felt something. It was like someone flicked their fingers against the top of your spine. A nudge that wasn't at all friendly. Something was off. You looked at Chan, but he was a closed book. Too closed. You took a slow breath through your nose, mentally poking your Goddess to wake up. Apparently, she did because suddenly you could feel how he was purposefully closing himself off from you. You frowned, looking at Changbin. He however was an open book as always. Something was definitely wrong. You wanted to slap yourself in the face for not noticing immediately, as it was totally unlike Changbin not to talk, asking you stuff until you were blistering behind the ears. Besides your greeting, he had barely said a word and looked at you even less. You looked back at Minho and your Goddess seemed to ring an alarm. He was not just looking somewhat shabby. He was doing horribly. You could see his light, and although not dimmed down, you could see something was very wrong.
'What are you doing?' Chan suddenly asked sharply. His eyes were narrowed as he looked at you sternly again, but you ignored him, looking around the room, hoping to find any hints. Felix was looking at you suspiciously now too, his eyes narrowed as well. He looked just as worried as you felt. You pulled harder at your Goddess wanting to find an answer desperately as to what the hell was going on. Suddenly, Chan smashed his hands on the table, and you lost the link. Their lights vanished and you stared at him startled. 'Stop it!' He growled at you, looking so angry that you almost forgot yourself. For a moment you looked at him with an open mouth, then you quickly closed it again. You gave him a deadly look but you weren't going to fight with him right now.
'What is going on?' you asked Minho, who was looking confused from you to Chan and back.
'I could ask you two the same thing,' he said with a chuckle. But you weren't in for laughs right now.
'Lino, I know something is wrong,' you told him sternly, imitating Chan's tone. For just a millisecond he looked taken aback, but then he corrected himself and simply raised a brow at you, pulling a face as if he had no idea what you were talking about. 'Lino!' you said angrily, this time it was your turn to slam your hand on the table in anger. From the corner of your eye you could see Chan balling his fists and looking at the others with an expression that made you think he was talking to them telepathically, forbidding them to tell you anything. You looked at Jeongin, but he was actively avoiding eye contact while cutting the last quarter of his pancake into unnecessarily small pieces. You found Felix's eyes but he bit his lip and shook his head, forcing a badly formed smile. Annoyed, you looked over at the nervously shuffling Changbin. You could see he was at his tipping point, he wanted to tell you but knew he wasn't allowed. You looked at all of them, one by one, but none of them would break.
'Tsk,' you said, raising your chin and standing from your seat. 'I'll go find Jinnie and Hannie instead then,' you said, turning around.
'No!' all of their voices came out at the same time. Bingo. You turned around sharply.
'So something is the matter with them? Both of them?' you asked fiercely. Chan got up from his seat now too, looking at you just as angrily as you were at him.
'Lino,' he said, without looking at him, his eyes still on you as if you would run when he'd looked away, 'didn't you say you had to go to work early today? Y/n still needs a ride, I think,' he said suggestively.
'Chan I swear,' you started threateningly, before Minho could even answer, 'if you guys don't tell me what is going on right now I will... I will,' you began, looking for a good threat to use, 'I will pull on my goddess again,' you suddenly decided. You weren't sure why it pissed him off every time you did, but you knew it was something you could use.
'No,' he said, suddenly backing down. The tension that had been in his arms and shoulders dropped but a muscle in his jaw pulled still. 'No, I... We'll... Fine,' he sighed, with clenched teeth. He looked at the others but they didn't say anything. Their eyes were large and they looked slightly hesitant still. Then Felix stepped forward.
'Han...' Felix began. It was all you needed for a stone to drop into your stomach. 'Han is sick,' he said slowly.
'S-sick?' you repeated confused. 'But-but I thought you-you guys couldn't get sick?' you recalled.
Felix bit his lip and looked at Chan, as did you. His look had softened. You could see how he was trying to hide the fear in his eyes, but you knew him too well.
'We can't and we don't,' Chan said quietly. Your eyes shot to Jeongin, who was looking at you. His face instantly turned beet red.
'Why didn't you tell me?' you hissed, feeling more guilty than ever. Jeongin's face resembled a very ripe tomato.
'I got carried away, I kinda... forgot...' he muttered, looking away from you.
'I have to see him, right now,' you insisted, already turning around, ready to dash off, but Chan grabbed your hand, stopping you.
'Y/n, no wait-' he began, but you tried to shake him off.
'Get off! I have to see him! Let me go! Let me see him! Hannie!' you cried. Panic was growing inside of you. You had failed. Failed as a goddess. You hadn't been able to protect him. You should've never left him.
Frantically you tried to pull yourself loose but Chan was too strong. All the others had jumped up from their chairs now as well, running over and saying things to stop you, but you wouldn't hear it.
'-don't know what it is y/n,' you heard Minho say.
'-might be contagious,' Changbin tried to convince you. But that only made it worse. If Han was sick, you would be sick with him. You did not care, you just had to see him.
'Let her go,' a voice suddenly spoke behind you. You froze for a moment, stopping your weak attempts to break loose from Chan. You looked around to see Hyunjin standing behind you, near the stairs. He looked tired, the same dark circles under his eyes as Minho sported. But his tone was calm and his posture relaxed, his hands in his pockets.
'Hyunjin, no,' Chan objected. 'We don't know what he has, even Felix can't do anything. It's too dangerous for her!' he tried to plead. To your surprise, Hyunjin chuckled at his words.
'First of all, Felix is a veterinarian, not a human doctor, he said so himself,' Hyunjin said calmly, taking a step forward. 'And even if he was a human doctor, his expertise would still be worthless since we are not human,' he added, taking another step. You could feel Chan's grip slacken on your wrist and you quickly pulled it loose before he could recompose himself. Quickly you ran over to Hyunjin, who had already opened his arms for you, closing them around you as soon as you grabbed hold of him. 'Welcome back sugar,' he whispered, kissing your brow. You could feel Chan's angry gaze on your back, but you didn't care.
'You know,' Felix said. You turned your head to see his face. He had stepped forward now too, his expression curious and bemused. His words are not questioning.
'To be honest, this wouldn't have been as much of a problem, as it currently is if we hadn't been as careful, funnily enough,' Hyunjin said with a grim chuckle.
'Just speak for fuck's sake Jinnie,' Minho said irritably. Hyunjin sighed deeply, a flair of drama adding to the scene.
'I keep telling you all over and over again, but you never listen,' Hyunjin sighed.
'What?' Minho snapped, angrily.
'Love,' Hyunjin said the word darkly. 'Love is a dangerous thing,'
A memory flashed before your eyes.
You were standing in the club where Jeongin worked at. You were on the dancefloor with Hyunjin. He was standing at arm's length away from you, his face inscrutable. His eyes bore into yours.
'You gotta be careful with love,' he said so quietly you could only just hear it. 'It can be exceptionally dangerous.' Before you could even blink again, he turned around and walked away, leaving you behind, completely bewildered.
You blinked and the vision faded away, as you looked up at him curiously. No one said anything but Hyunjin let go of you and looked at you with a soft smile.
'Come, he's waiting for you,' Hyunjin said.
Though Felix, Chan, Changbin, Jeongin, and Minho had followed you and Hyunjin to Han's room closely, they didn't protest and kept quiet. You suspected Hyunjin was talking to them telepathically. Most likely explaining to them what he wasn't to you, but you were too nervous to ask. Your heart was beating in your chest, and the stone in your stomach was still there. The feeling of immense guilt still gnawed at you as you stood in front of Han's bedroom door, Hyunjin smiling at you softly.
'We'll go in together, shall we?' Hyunjin said, taking your hand into his. A warm feeling entered you through your hand. It felt like it was flowing up through your arm and wanting to enter your mind, but there was too much worry in there to allow the feeling of love to take over. You nodded stiffly, nervously.
'It's me,' Hyunjin said as he knocked on Han's door. A muffled and far away hum sounded and Hyunjin opened the door slightly, stepping through the crack and pulling you in as well, before closing the door behind the two of you.
It was only a second, but it was all you needed. Han looked terrible. His face looked almost gray, all his color seeming to have faded from him. His normally cute chubby cheeks had disappeared, like he hadn't eaten in weeks and the dark circles underneath his eyes made Minho's look like a bad imitation. Before you could even blink, Han let out a hoarse shriek, pulling the blankets over his face and disappearing out of sight.
'Are you insane?' he tried to yell at Hyunjin, but his voice was nothing more than a hoarse whimper. The sight of Han and the sound of his unrecognizable voice made your stomach turn and tears instantly welled up in your eyes as you looked over at Hyunjin. To your surprise he simply rolled his eyes, you gawped at him. How could he put on his drama queen act right now while Han was in such a state?
'I know what is wrong with you Hannie,' he said simply, sitting down on the chair that was standing beside his bed. You stayed standing where Hyunjin had let go of you, frozen to the spot with fear.
Han mumbled something underneath the covers that you couldn't quite catch.
'That's just the problem,' Hyunjin responded to him, his voice dripping with annoyance. You gave him a deadly look, which he ignored. 'None of you ever listen to me. So for once, shut up and listen!' he ended his sentence fiercely, his eyes on you now, looking serious.
There was no response from underneath the blankets.
'Han,' Hyunjin began in a clear voice, 'you are love-sick.' For a second, there was silence, then Han threw the covers from his face, looking at Hyunjin as angrily as his haggard face allowed.
'Do not mock me,' he said with a hoarse voice. Seeing Han now, up close, it looked even worse. His green eyes were dull and his dark hair was hanging limply over his forehead. Without even realizing it yourself you clapped a hand over your mouth in shock. The movement seemed to draw his attention however and he looked over at you, his eyes full of pain as he saw you standing there with your hand before your face.
'Y/n, no- I-I never wanted you to see me like this. I told them to-to keep you away,' he whimpered weakly.
'Which is why you only became sicker,' Hyunjin said seriously. He looked over at you. 'Y/n, sweetheart, come over here,' he said softly, beckoning you to the bed. He didn't have to tell you twice. You rushed to the bed and before Han even had time to pull away, you wrapped your arms around his neck, burying your face into his neck as you cried.
'I'm so sorry Hannie. I'm so sorry. I should've never left you. I'm a worthless goddess, I'm worthless! I'm so sorry,' you kept repeating as tears fell onto his feverish skin. You didn't care if you'd get sick as well. You didn't care if he was trying to push you away. You would never let go again. Never.
Han struggled to get you off of him, but his normally strong arms seemed to be too weak right now to push you away. His hoarse mumbles of protest were hard to make out over your sobbing words of apology and finally, he gave up. You buried your face deeper into the crook of his neck, taking in his scent as tears rolled from your eyes.
You were horrible. A horrible person. No. A horrible goddess. You had failed them.
You sat in silence as you embraced him, silent tears falling from your eyes as you continued to curse yourself in your head. You could feel Han's slow and steady heartbeat, his chest against yours.
Minutes passed and for some reason, the unusually high temperature of Han's body slowly seemed to lower. When you held him first, he felt hot, like Changbin, but now... Maybe it was simply you getting used to his heat.
You slowly let go of him, pulling back a little to look at his face.
You blinked a few times.
Was it your imagination or had he regained some of his color?
'It's not your fault y/n, it really isn't. But please leave, I beg you. We don't know what is wrong with me and for all we know it might be contagious,' Han begged you, looking at you desperately but sounding less hoarse.
'It isn't contagious,' Hyunjin said with an air of annoyance. Han looked at him destructively but Hyunjin didn't seem to care.
'Go, go now, please,' Han begged once more, giving you a soft push, away from him. You wanted to object, but to your surprise, Hyunjin got up too.
'I think this'll be enough for now,' Hyunjin said with a nod, putting his hand out for you to take. You quickly shook your head.
'I'm not leaving,' you insisted. Hyunjin sighed.
'He's going to be fine now, I promise,' Hyunjin tried to convince you but you shook your head once more.
'Baby, just go,' Han added as well, nodding and faking a smile, 'I'll be fine.' However, there was nothing that could convince you right now. There was nothing they could say to convince you to leave right now. Not in the state Han was in. Not after you had already abandoned him once, getting him sick. No way.
Hyunjin sighed and shook his head as well.
'Well, I guess you're leaving me no choice,' Hyunjin sighed. Without giving you time to even open your mouth, he was suddenly standing next to you, his arms around your body as he picked you up like you weighed nothing.
'HYUNJIN!' You yelled out, shocked. You were used to being picked up and tossed around by Changbin, Chan and lately Felix as well, but none of the others had ever done anything like this before. 'HYUNJIN!' You called out his name again, your fists hammering on his back for him to let go of you. You heard Han say something but could barely make out the words as the blood was rushing to your head. 'LET ME GO!' you called out, but it was already too late, Hyunjin was already closing the door behind him. You got a quick glimpse of the guys in the hallway, noticing that Jeongin was missing.
'I'll monitor his progress,' Felix said between your screams. You could feel Hyunjin nodding before you started pounding your fists upon his back again.
'Let me go! Let me go now! Let me go to him! Let me stay with him! Please Hyunjin!!!' You cried out, but he ignored you. The sound of another door opening and closing filled your ears and you were carefully put down on a bed. He had brought you back to your own room.
Instantly you jumped up but Hyunjin halted you.
'Sit,' he commanded. You froze. You had heard Chan using his voice of authority many times before, but never Hyunjin. Reluctantly, you sat down, looking at him angrily.
'Y/n, you gotta listen to me,' Hyunjin said seriously. You pressed your lips together in anger but listened. 'Han has love sickness,' Hyunjin said the words slowly.
'But Han said-,' you began but he cut you off.
'I know what he said but that's just because he doesn't want to believe it. But trust me, trust me on this that I am right,' Hyunjin said seriously. You didn't react but your anger disappeared and you felt yourself calm down slowly. 'Han is love sick, and the hug you gave him just now will be enough to cure him by the end of the day,' Hyunjin said. You opened your mouth in protest but once again Hyunjin cut you off. 'Trust me when I say this. Trust me that I am right. After all, have any of us ever been wrong regarding our powers before?' he asked. You thought for a second, trying to think of a moment where they made a mistake, but not finding any. You still looked at him with discontent.
'Baby,' he began in a softer tone, lowering so his face was level with yours, 'I promise you Han will get better, he just needs some time right now. Just like with a real sick person, you should drown them in the remedy but offer small doses. Besides, you heard him, he really doesn't want to see anyone right now because he is afraid,' Hyunjin said. You looked at him, wanting to protest, wanting to run back to Han and hold him more, but you didn't dare move. 'Besides, it's a school day, and you know how he'd react if you failed any of your classes,' Hyunjin chuckled with a wink. You clenched your jaw as you pushed away the last bit of you wanting to run back to Han. Slowly, you nodded.
'That's a good girl,' Hyunjin said, petting your head and smiling. 'Now I'd get ready quickly if I were you because it's already quite late,' he said with a meaningful look at the clock on your nightstand. You didn't say anything, staying seated and not moving as you tried to calm down the last bit of yourself.
'Hyunjin?' You began softly. He was already getting to the door but he stopped and turned to look at you. 'How can he be love-sick?' You asked, still not quite understanding the situation.
Hyunjin gave you a grim smile. 'None of you really ever listen to me, do you?' He sighed. 'I've told the others a thousand times, and I've told you, love should not be underestimated and can truly be a dangerous thing,' he sighed, before leaving the room and closing the door behind him.

You guys made my writing so much better <3
The two of you spent all morning cuddled up together in bed. He held you in his arms, holding you against him as he hummed some soft tunes. The two of you hardly said a word, but with Seungmin there just wasn’t any need. You knew that he knew what you were thinking and feeling, and you were sure you knew what he was thinking and feeling too.
‘It’s time for me to get out of bed now, sweetie,’ he said after a while. You looked up at him with a pout. ‘Thanks to someone,’ he said, poking your cheek with his finger, ‘I wasn’t able to get much work done yesterday,’ he said with a sad smile. You still pouted at him but you understood. Reluctantly, you untangled your fingers from his hair and pulled away from him. Seungmin sat up with a yawn and stretched.
‘But how about breakfast first?’ he offered with a wink. Together, the two made some breakfast in the far too-small kitchen. Apparently, last night had stirred up quite the appetite for Seungmin because you were only halfway through your breakfast when he had already finished his. ‘I really gotta start now if I want to be able to finish it up before tonight,’ he said while stroking your hair. You nodded as he gave you a soft kiss on your lips before he took out his stuff again and put them out on the balcony once more.
When you were finally done, you took your time to wash up and get yourself dressed. You looked around the room but there wasn’t much for you to do. Your mind wasn’t in the right state to do any school work, nor did you think it wise to go to the beach, afraid you would distract Seungmin from his work again. You stared out one of the small windows, giving you the view of the grasslands and trees behind. Suddenly, you remembered something that Seungmin had mentioned, about the part of the island behind the trees.
‘Minnie?’ you began, opening the door to the balcony. He looked up at you and it took him a second to focus. ‘I’m going for a walk to explore the island for a bit,’ you spoke when his eyes were clear and on yours. Seungmin smiled and nodded before returning to his work again.
You packed some stuff and went on your way. The green grass field behind the cabin took quite a while to cross before you finally arrived at the thick set of trees that obscured the view of the other side of the island. You half expected a fence, fence wiring, or at least some thorn bushes to keep people from crossing the treeline, but there was nothing of the sort. Just high bushes and trees so thick and tall that when you stepped into it, all light seemed to disappear. You looked up, but there was no sunlight peeking through the thick coverage of leaves. Carefully you navigated through the dark bushes until you finally spotted some light again. You pushed a bush aside, and the bright sunshine almost blinded your eyes. You had to blink a few times before you could see again but then your mouth fell open.
You now understood what Seungmin meant when he said that no one would be interested in crossing the treeline.
There were small different coloured trees with flowers and fruits growing all over the place. Natural wildflowers moved softly in the wind. There were a handful of narrow pathways where the green grass had retreated. A few large smooth stones were lying around, the perfect height to be used as a bench to sit on. A couple of large trees were placed here and there as a way to hide from the bright sun or pouring rain. Adjacent was a field of grass that seemed to be calling out to you, begging you to lie there and relax, have a picnic, or take a nap. It was absolutely enchanting.
You had hardly set foot on the new terrain when all of a sudden a buzzing noise startled you. For a moment, you felt disoriented, afraid that you had stepped on some kind of alerting system. Then you realized it was coming from your bag. Hastily, you searched through it only to find your phone being the culprit. It hadn’t been that long without electricity or reception but somehow you had forgotten what a buzzing phone sounded like. Having stepped onto the terrain of the park, your phone suddenly seemed to be connected again with the digital world, loading all of your missed messages and calls at once. Most of them were emails, junk mail, or from school. As you scrolled down further you saw something else. Your friends had messaged you as well.
“Yo, Sera and I were thinking of going to that new arthouse film on Sunday, you wanna come?”
“You wanna go to the movies with me and Sera?”
“Dude, where are you?”
“Have you gone off the face of the earth again?”
“Honestly next time, let me know beforehand cuz this stuff stresses me out”
You read through Adam’s texts feeling guilty, but before you could reply, Sera’s texts started streaming in as well.
“Hey bae, wanna go to the movies this weekend? Adam is coming too”
“Hey, movies, this weekend? You, me, Adam?”
“Yes”
“No?”
“Maybe?”
“y/n?”
“Are you okay?”
“I’m getting kinda worried here”
“Pls reply asap”
‘So Adam says it's "normal" for you to disappear now and then, but I’m not feeling it”
“If you don't reply within 5 hours I will take action!”
“Okay I’m calling”
“Pls pick up”
“Omg girl pls, you’re making me nervous now”
“y/n”
“Okay so I called my mom to contact Mr. Hwang cuz that’s the only other person I know that knows you”
“Okay, so he told my mom that apparently you're fine and you’re just on a trip right now. I hope you’re enjoying yourself cuz imma kill you when you get back dude”
You bit your lip, feeling a deep pit of guilt in your stomach. How had you forgotten to tell them? You felt like such an asshole. No, you were such an asshole. Instantly you dialed Sera’s number and put your phone to your ear.
‘If I could wish to have one superpower right now, it would be to pull you through the phone and smack yo ass until you can’t walk for a month,’ Sera’s voice shouted through the phone. You weren’t sure whether to laugh at her remark.
‘Sera, I’m so s-,’ you began, not getting to finish your sentence.
‘Yeah, yeah, I know, you’re sorry. And you better be,’ she continued lecturing you, but the way she continued to speak let you know she wasn’t as angry as she pretended to be. ‘You probably cost me a few years of my life, I think I even sprouted some gray hairs from the stress. But I guess that just gives me another excuse to dye my hair again,’ she said, clicking her tongue.
‘I’m genuinely sorry, Sera,’ you said seriously, but smiling because of her remark. ‘The thing is…’ you began, ‘I never really had friends like you and Adam before, so I’m not used to letting people know where I’m going and stuff,’ you said unsure, fiddling with the strap of your bag as your eyes stared blindly at the softly waving grass.
‘It’s okay,’ Sera responded, her voice even softer now. ‘I’m just happy that nothing bad happened to you.’ You laughed.
‘Well, being surrounded by eight guys all the time, it’s kinda hard to have something happen to me at all,’ you chuckled.
‘Yeah, I guess so,’ Sera responded with a snicker. ‘But tell me about your trip,’ she urged you, ‘Adam told me that you rarely go anywhere at all.’
‘Erm, yeah. I recently went on holiday for the first time,’ you said, smiling while thinking back on the last few days.
‘Wow, for the first time, really? That’s… but I won’t judge. Where to then?’ she asked interested.
‘Jeju Island. It’s actually where I’m at right now as well, but a different spot,’ you explained.
‘Oh, I love Jeju!’ Sera said enthusiastically. ‘I used to go there every summer with my moms. Where at in Jeju are you right now? Maybe I know it.’
‘Erm,’ you began, frowning to yourself, ‘to be very honest, I’m not sure what this area is called,’ you said awkwardly. ‘But it has a lot of nature and it’s quite secluded,’ you decided.
‘Oh, yeah no, I wouldn’t know that, we used to hang out mostly in the rural areas, to be honest. But it sounds nice,’ Sera said kindly. ‘Are you there alone or…’ she began curiously.
‘I’m with one of my roommates,’ you began to explain, ‘He’s actually here for some research for his work and asked me if I was interested in coming along.’
‘Is that the more slender one with the brown hair?’ Sera asked interestedly.
‘Yeah. Wait, how did you know?’ You asked confused. Your heart was suddenly beating fast.
‘Oh, well I think I saw you getting picked up by him last Friday at school.’ She said hesitantly. ‘I was just on my way out when I thought I saw you from afar getting in a car with someone. I remembered their features, ‘cause I just wasn’t sure…’ she said, her voice trailing off. ‘Anyway, when will you be back?’ she asked quickly.
So she had seen the two of you leaving together. Your heart slowed down again. There was nothing to worry about. Your roommate picking you up wasn’t anything weird.
‘I’ll be back for school tomorrow,’ you said. You weren’t sure what time you would return, as Seungmin could easily drop you off anywhere, any time. All you knew was that you wouldn’t miss the early morning class on your favorite subject.
‘Cool, see you then during break?’ Sera asked lightheartedly. You agreed and the two of you said your goodbyes before you hung up the phone. Sera had promised you she would call Adam in return, so you could enjoy your last few hours on the island in peace without having to endure another lecture.
Smiling to yourself, you put your phone away and started walking over the narrow paths.
You felt happy. The thought of having friends who care so much about you warmed your heart. Of course, the guys were your friends too, but that was different. They were so much more than that. Something that could hardly be explained. After all, they themselves were something that could hardly be explained.
You wondered if the way they appeared to you, was equal to how they appeared to others. Not just like normal men, but the gods they actually were. Even before you knew they had been gods you had always felt something about them. There was just something magical about them. Their incredible beauty, their musical voices, and the way you felt whenever they touched you…
Your heart seemed to pulsate deeply as moments of last night with Seungmin flashed through your mind. Your cheeks suddenly felt hot and your mouth dry as a familiar feeling low in your stomach began to stir.
Taking a deep breath you tried to calm yourself slightly, quickly walking on, but barely seeing where you were going.
‘Going somewhere?’ a familiar, somewhat husky voice spoke. Startled, you looked up. In the shadows underneath a large tree, a figure was hiding. His golden eyes captivated yours as he grinned at you.
‘Jeongin!’ you exclaimed, startled. He grinned at you widely, stepping out of the shadow and into the sunlight.
‘What- why are you here?’ You stammered, confused. For some reason, you felt like you had been caught doing something naughty and you felt your cheeks blush. For a moment he seemed to be sensing what you were thinking because he narrowed eyes and looked at you with a cheeky smile.
‘What? No “I missed you” or anything?’ He asked as he took a step closer to you. His fox-shaped eyes glittered as he looked at you. There was something about Jeongin that always brought you into a playful mood. You folded your arms on your chest and raised your brows at him.
‘Who said I did?’ you said challengingly. Jeongin pouted, putting his hand over his chest like it hurt as he gave you his best attempt at puppy eyes.
‘Oof,’ he sighed, pretending like he was getting shot. ‘What a response to someone who brought you snacks.’ Your ears instantly perked up and you looked at him curiously. From behind his back, he produced a straw beach bag, which seemed to be loaded full.
‘Did you secretly read my mind?’ you asked teasingly after you put down the blanket he bought for the two of you to sit on together and spread out all the snacks he brought with him. They were all of your favorites and you knew you’d probably eat yourself sick. You sat yourself between his legs, leaning back against him, his head on yours.
‘You know very well how much I wish I could,’ Jeongin said almost sulkily. You chuckled at his response.
The sun felt warm on your face, as the two of you ate, drank, and talked about everything and nothing. It was comforting and homey, being in his arms like that, sitting between the high grass and beautiful plants and flowers.
‘So how are things at home?’ you asked jokingly as you took a sip from your favorite soft drink. Jeongin sucked his breath in through his teeth and you sat up, looking around at him with raised brows. He pressed his lips together as he scrunched his nose. ‘What?’ you spurred him on, curious now.
‘You really wanna know?’ Jeongin asked, pulling an uncomfortable face. You nodded eagerly. He sighed, shaking his head and turning. For a moment you thought he wouldn’t tell you, but then you realized he was only turning away from you so he could lie down and rest his head on your lap. Instantly, your fingers started to play with his hair.
‘Not… fun,’ he said slowly, his face still looking somewhat grim.
‘Why?’ you asked him in a whisper, worry instantly creeping up on you.
‘Well, you’re not there, are you,’ he said with a dry chuckle. You couldn’t help but laugh.
‘Well, duh,’ you said giggling, but Jeongin shook his head, still looking grim and you quickly stopped laughing.
‘It’s not just that you’re not home, it's…’ he began. He seemed to be looking for his words and you stayed quiet, giving him time.
‘Actually, everyone is a mess,’ Jeongin said, sounding surprisingly annoyed for some reason. ‘I don’t know why, but you not being home- we’re a mess,’ he sighed, his eyes finding yours. ‘I don’t think Lino has slept since you left. Nor the others actually. Han keeps walking laps around the house, probably hoping to see you somewhere, that you’ve come back early. Hyunjin has locked himself in his room and Changbin and Chan keep wanting to storm out to come get you back home,’ Jeongin told you.
Your mouth stood slightly agape. You had barely been gone for two days, but already they seemed to be frantic without you.
‘It’s like we’re addicts, desperate for our fill.. of you,’ he said softly. You looked at him feeling dumbfounded. You had never expected your absence to have such an impact on them. ‘The only reason Chan and Changbin haven’t left to come get you so far,’ Jeongin began, seeming to read your mind, ‘is because Lix keeps threatening them,’ Jeongin chuckled. You blinked at his words.
‘Felix actually seems the calmest of all of us to be honest,’ Jeongin admitted. ‘Mind you, he keeps sitting near the front door like some sort of puppy waiting for his human to come back,’ he scoffed. ‘And I believe he nicked some of your clothes by the way,’ he added with a frown and a disapproving look. ‘But you know how good his nose is. I guess that might be what keeps him sane. And in turn, keeps Bin and Chan in line.’
‘How did he threaten them?’ you wondered aloud worriedly. Jeongin chuckled to himself.
‘He keeps telling them he’ll beat them up if they go in addition to Seungmin’s threats. Not that he’ll really-,’ Jeongin continued but you cut him off.
‘Seungming’s threats?’ you asked.
‘Yeah, he told us that if we, and I quote, “dare to even get close to his island, he’ll electrocute us until our nose hairs have irreversibly been scorched off,’ Jeongin said, absentmindedly dragging a finger over his nose. You weren’t sure whether to laugh or be worried. ‘But anyway, whenever Chan or Bin give even the faintest whiff of leaving, Lix will pop up out of nowhere in front of them. He’s gotten really good at cracking his knuckles,’ Jeongin chuckled. You bit your lip. Knowing that all of them missed you so much and seemed to be such a mess without you pained your heart. You never thought that your absence would hurt them so. A hint of guilt plagued you. But there was also something else. Something that seemed to tickle your insides. You could see it in your imagination. See them pacing the floor nervously, standing up and sitting down, biting their lips while they waited for you to get back. For some reason, the thought of it made your mouth dry and you pressed your lips together.
You looked down at Jeongin, whose fox-like eyes were closed for a moment.
‘How did you get here then?’ you asked suddenly. Jeongin opened his eyes and grinned at you.
‘I have my ways,’ he said mysteriously.
‘But won’t they notice if you’re not there?’ You asked nervously. You didn’t want them to get into a fight because he had snuck out. But he shook his head.
‘Nah,’ he said cheekily. But when you looked at him worriedly he quickly added, ‘Don’t worry babe, I’m the god of luck, remember?’ he winked. You were dying to know how he managed to sneak away and how he could be so sure they wouldn’t find out, but you felt like pressing on would ruin the moment, so you stayed quiet. Jeongin closed his eyes again, as your fingers weaved themselves through his hair.
After a minute or so Jeongin suddenly shot up with a swear. Startled, you looked around, afraid that you were in danger and that he’d sensed something that you had missed. But before you could say or ask anything, he quickly crawled over to the bag and took out a tub, shuffling back over again. He pulled off the lid and sighed in relief, looking up and smiling at you while you were still staring at him with startled eyes.
‘Almost forgot the strawberries. Lucky the chocolate didn’t melt yet,’ he said, holding the tub under your nose. You stared at the perfectly coated strawberries for a second before looking back at his innocent grin.

‘Ouch, hey! What was that for?’ Jeongin said, dropping the strawberries on the blanket and rubbing his shoulder where you had punched him. But there was no way you could’ve hurt him telling by the way his grin hadn’t subsided.
‘You scared the shit out of me you idiot,’ you hissed at him irritably. Jeongin snorted.
‘You’re such a little scaredy cat aren’t you,’ he said, reaching out an arm and pinching your cheek hard.
‘Oh, you’re so dead,’ you said, trying to hold back your laughter. Within the blink of an eye, Jeongin jumped up and sprinted away laughing loudly.
‘Only if you can catch me!’ he shouted over his shoulder. You quickly got up as well, running after him and trying not to trample any plants or diverting from the narrow pathways.
Being way too fast for you and apparently knowing all the pathways in the garden quite well, there was no way you could catch him. Now and then he held back, letting you catch up to him and giving you a moment to grab at him. But your fingers would merely brush at the fabric of his clothes before he’d shoot away again laughing.
Just when you started to feel that you were getting tired, your breaths short and your heartbeat racing, he stopped running, standing still and cheekily beckoning you with two fingers. You grinned and gave a last spurt, jumping on him. Catching you, he let himself fall back onto the picnic blanket.
‘Now I’ve got you,’ you said triumphantly, knowing full well that he let you. ‘You can’t flee your goddess.’ You panted, sitting on top of him effectively straddling him as his shining eyes looked playfully up at you. ‘How will you atone for your sins?’ you asked solemnly, tilting your chin and looking at him sternly. Jeongin sat up, keeping you on his lap, his eyes level with yours.
‘Like this,’ he said with a soft, low voice. His arms wrapped around you and your breath halted. Soft lips met yours and your eyes automatically closed. Instantly, you were lost in him.
His kiss was soft and sweet, kissing you deeply while his tongue caressed yours. Your fingers wove through his hair as you feel a flame burning in your lower stomach. One of his hands moved behind your head while the other supported your waist as he carefully lifted you from him, pushing you on your back.
His lips moved from your mouth to your cheek, onto your jawline then onto your neck. Your eyes closed in bliss, feeling his soft lips suck, kiss, and nip upon your skin delicately. His hands, however, moved about your body as if he wanted to touch you everywhere at once, all at the same time, grabbing your waist and thighs, squeezing them lustfully. You let out a soft breath, feeling him everywhere upon you, making your head feel empty and at peace.
Without you really noticing, Jeongin slowly moved down your body, pulling down your shirt slightly and kissing your collarbones and chest. He continued on, raising your shirt and letting his tongue drag over your stomach, down to the edge of your pants. It was only when he started to undo the button that your brain suddenly activated again. You quickly put your hand over Jeongin’s. He looked up at you, his eyes lidded and his cheeks flushed.
‘We’re outside,’ you whispered, your voice already sounding hoarse. He grinned at you cheekily.
‘So?’ he said, raising a brow.
‘So? So someone might come and see us,’ you whispered nervously, looking around. Jeongin’s grin only got wider and he moved up a bit, taking his hand off your trousers and bringing his face level with yours again as he chuckled carelessly.
‘Isn’t that just part of the thrill?’ he whispered provocatively. You swallowed. You knew you could tell him no. Knew that if you would say it scared you, he’d stop and cuddle you instead. But his words had unlocked something in you. You knew very well that no one ever came here. The boys had made it so. And if they would, you would hear them coming before they’d even be able to see you. And with Jeongin’s powers, chances were you wouldn’t get disturbed at all.
But still… The thought of being there with him, outside, for anyone to see… It was so wrong. So incredibly wrong. It kind of made it… naughty.
The feeling of mischief and excitement rushed through you as you looked Jeongin in the eye with a grin.
‘That’s my girl,’ he breathed, praising you to tease you. He planted a quick kiss on your lips before moving back down again until his fingers were on your pants again. He undid them with ease, helping you slip them down and exposing your panties to the outside air. You could feel your heart pounding in your chest with excitement.
Jeongin’s tongue dragged a wet stripe just above the edge of your panties and you let out a deep quivering breath. For a moment you expected him to pull down your panties as he had your pants, but instead, you felt his warm fingers pulling the fabric aside. You could feel your pussy being exposed to the outside world, your heart beating in your throat. But then Jeongin placed his lips over your clit and you had to hold back a moan.
It was as if he knew exactly what you wanted. The way his tongue slid over your sensitive spots, licking, sucking, and flicking his tongue over it made you lose control within minutes. Before you knew it, he had you coming under his lips, as you clasped your hand over your mouth, trying not to make too much noise. Jeongin let out a soft, low, and satisfied growl as he withdrew his face from between your legs to see your face. He grinned satisfied as he saw you twitch under him, your lips pressed hard shut to keep yourself from moaning as the afterwaves of the orgasm started to fade. He licked his lips hungrily.
‘You’ve no idea how much I wish I could fuck you right now,’ He whispered in your ear with a half-smile. You audibly sucked in your breath at his words, pussy clenching around nothing.
‘Then why don’t you?’ you breathed at him, your eyes hazy as your body screamed for more. His eyes changed and you could see how he was holding himself back.
‘I don’t wanna hurt you,’ he whispered, hovering over you, biting his lip for a second when he saw you frown and pout. ‘I mean yesterday… you and Seungmin…’ he began, his voice trailing away as a blush appeared on his face. You clicked your tongue in annoyance.
‘You boys should stop reading each other’s minds,’ you said irritably.
‘I know, you’re right, it’s just hard not to hear when-’ he began quickly, starting to apologize, but you cut him off by grabbing his shirt and pulling him towards you, kissing him on his lips. You could taste yourself on his lips but you did not care. You did not care about anything right now. You just wanted him.
You could feel him hesitate at first, but then melting into your kiss again, lowering his body onto yours causing something hard to poke into your thigh. You rolled your hips into his and he groaned into your mouth, before breaking the kiss and sitting up. His pupils were large and the blush on his face hadn’t gone away.
‘Fuck, come here,’ he mumbled, grabbing your legs, and positioning you under him the way he wanted you. His impatient hands fumbled at his belt and buttons for a second before he managed to undo them, pulling down all the layers of fabric in one go without hesitation. His already hard cock sprang free from its confines and twitched impatiently. Before you could even properly look at him, he was already positioning himself between your legs, teasing the tip over your slit. He bit his lip as he guided his tip between your folds, spreading them but not entering you just yet as he moved it up and down, gathering your wetness mixed with his own precum.
‘Innnieee,’ you moaned impatiently at him.
‘So hungry for my cock are you?’ he panted huskily, a grin on his face. ‘Want me that bad?’ he teased. You nodded at him, lips parted as you breathed heavily. Jeongin groaned as he looked at your eager face, sliding his cock up and down your folds once more while he grinned at you. ‘Lino was right, you do turn into a little slut when you want us,’ he teased lowly. Then you felt the familiar pressure on your entrance, and slowly your walls gave way to him. You could feel how sensitive you still were from yesterday, walls straining to let him in. But the slightly dull sore feeling seemed to be completely overshadowed by the satisfying feeling of him filling you up. He swore when he was finally completely inside of you, your walls clasping him tightly as he panted. You could feel him twitching inside of you, probably leaking more precum. When he slowly started to pull out again you couldn’t help but arch your back, the movement making you moan. When all but his tip had pulled out again, he swore once more before he really started fucking you. He grabbed your waist with both hands, keeping you in place as he thrust in and out of you, soft gasps falling from his lips as he watched his dick slide in and out of your pussy. Not caring about being outside anymore but only being able to feel Jeongin’s cock fucking in and out of your sensitive pussy, an endless stream of moans left your lips.
‘Feel so good baby,’ he panted, as he started picking up the pace slightly, ‘so tight for me. Ah, fuck,’ he groaned, gripping your waist tighter. You could feel another orgasm building up inside of you, but just when you started to get close he suddenly stilled deep inside of you. You protested with a groan, trying to buck your hips into him, but his iron grip held you still. ‘So eager for me, huh?’ he grinned brattily at you, panting. You could see the sweat on his face as he looked down at you. He bent over you, giving you a short but sweet kiss. ‘I know baby, but you gotta stay still for a second if you want it to last,’ he breathed. Your pussy clenched around him at his words and he hissed, biting his lip and closing his eyes for a second. ‘Such a hungry little pussy,’ he teased, looking down at you, his cock still buried deep inside of you, but unmoving, as your orgasm slowly backed down again at the lack of stimulation. ‘If I had known what a cute little nympho you really are, I’d fucked you ages ago,’ he said, one of his hands letting go of your hips and sliding up to your tits, squishing them softly and making you mewl. ‘I guess that’s why none of them told me,’ he said clicking his tongue, ‘they all wanna keep you to themselves,’ he muttered incoherently. He let out another groan and suddenly started thrusting again, making your eyes roll into the back of your skull again.
He paused three more times, just when you were getting close to your, and his, orgasm, waiting for it to die down a little, his cock buried as deep as possible inside of you before continuing to fuck you again, whispering teasing and bratty words to you that only made you clench harder around him.
‘Don’t stop,’ you panted when for the fifth time you felt yourself getting close again.
‘Wanna cum so bad baby?’ he teased. ‘But I already made you cum once, isn’t that enough?’ he said, slowing his thrusts.
‘Please,’ you mewled, ‘wanna cum on your dick,’ you spoke thoughtlessly. Jeongin let out a deep moan at your words. He instantly grabbed your waist tightly again and started pounding you like crazy. He only needed a few more deep and hard thrusts for you to tip over, your pussy spasming around his cock like it was milking him. Jeongin growled at the feeling, fucking in and out of you several more times before he too couldn’t hold back anymore. He moaned long and deep as he unloaded himself inside of you. You could feel his cock twitching inside of your own spasming cunt. You could feel him coating your walls with his cum as his fingers dug into your waist bruisingly.
‘F-fuck,’ he moaned, as he half collapsed on top of you, but making sure he kept his weight off of you. You giggled as your orgasm subsided again, and you were able to look at his face. He was drenched in sweat, his cheeks still flushed red, but this time with the heat. His lips formed a wide and satisfied grin as he opened his eyes to look at you.
For a while, all you could do was look into his golden eyes as he looked into yours, smiling and giggling, while you blushed just as much as he did. Now and then he softly kissed the tip of your nose, your cheek, or your forehead, while he stroked your hair.
Just as you started to feel the cum leaking out of you, Jeonging spoke again.
‘Well, how about I get you cleaned up, hm?’ He whispered softly, seeming to know how you were feeling. You nodded but then remembered where you were. The grass and trees swayed slightly in the warm breeze that now and then passed. You looked around, hoping Jeongin would’ve brought paper towels or napkins or something of the like that you could use to clean yourself up with before you’d go back to the cabin.
‘Hold on tight,’ Jeongin whispered, putting his arms around you suddenly. Before you could even react your ears filled with a deafening sound of wind and you couldn’t see anymore.
Your back suddenly seemed to sink into something soft and you opened your eyes with a gasp. The bright sunny sky was nowhere to be seen. A dark ceiling greeted you and it took you a second to realize what happened. You looked around. There were a few clothing items lying around on the floor. Against one of the walls was a large rack of shoes, displaying all kinds of sneakers.
Clearly he had brought you to his own room. Jeongin got off of you and sat up.
‘My clothes- our stuff,’ you said worriedly, suddenly feeling very naked on his bed and quickly sitting up as well, closing your legs.
‘Don’t worry, I’ll go back for it after we’ve taken a shower,’ he reassured you, cupping your face with one hand. You nodded, frowning at him, feeling somewhat awkward.
‘Now, get off my sheets 'cause you’re leaking baby,’ he said, pinching your cheek playfully. You clicked your tongue in annoyance and pouted at him, as the awkward feeling left you and you started to feel at ease again.
‘Is that how you treat a lady after you ravaged her?’ you said playfully, faking offense.
‘Ravaged?’ he said, raising a brow as the corners of his mouth curled. He leaned forward. ‘I will show you ravaged,’ he growled and he suddenly shot towards you growling and snapping his teeth at you like a rabid dog. You squealed and laughed, jumping off the bed and running to the door of his en-suite shower as he followed you, laughing as well.
When we were at 200k readers on Wattpad I promised a surprise and told you all I was working on something special. It took a while (a long while, sorry) but it's finally finished!
I hope you will all enjoy it, because my husband and I really worked hard on it. All the works have been created with original images of the boys, with their own faces, hair and often even hands. I know they are not perfect, but I hope we managed to do them justice and help make the story come to life a little <3.
All of the images are available to download in high resolution quality (were you will find a widgets and nonwidgets version) for FREE via my ko-fi page.
Please DO NOT crop out the title or my name, thank you!
Thank you all so much once again for your love and support (even though I know I update slow T.T). I promise updates will come in the future, and the story will be finished and not abandoned, but since I have a busy life I just do not have as much time to spend on it as I wish I did.

The sound of wind filled your ears as you held Seungmin tightly.
‘We’re here,’ he said softly. You opened your eyes. The bright sun filled your vision and you blinked for a moment, trying to regain your bearings. The surroundings were unfamiliar, so you looked up at Seungmin.
‘Where are we?’ you asked confused.
‘Jeju,’ he said simply, hoisting his backpack over his shoulder. It didn’t look like the Jeju you knew. Last time you had been here, you were surrounded by luxury hotels and small urban streets. But right now, you were standing on what seemed to be a hill, surrounded by greenery. Behind you was a thick line of trees and bushes, almost like a wall that obscured whatever was behind it from view. In front of you, you could see the drop off of the cliff, with bright blue waters on the horizon. Near the edge of the cliff was something that looked like a weird mix between a house and a lighthouse. It was an oddly built tower where the ground floor seemed to have some rooms added on. You looked at Seungmin questioningly.
‘Oh,’ he said, a small smile on his face, ‘didn’t I tell you? We won’t be staying in a hotel.’ he said. You shook your head. ‘Well,’ Seungmin shrugged with a playful grin, ‘It’s still Jeju.’
‘Did you trick me?' you asked suspiciously as he turned around and started walking towards the lighthouse. He simply shrugged and walked on. You huffed but couldn’t stop a smile from appearing on your face as you quickly followed him.
‘Welcome to the observatory,’ Seungmin said happily as you stepped into the lighthouse. The building seemed to be quite old judging by the lack of outlets and lights. The small windows were made of thick yellowish glass and the walls were made of sturdy wooden logs. The kitchen, living room, and bedroom all seemed to be squished into the same space that had been expanded just enough to fit everything in. Although most of the furniture looked old and worn, it did look clean and gave off a very cozy vibe.
Your eyes slid over the lazy armchair next to the large bookcase that was behind a small dining table.
‘What do you think?’ you heard Seungmin ask, his voice unsure now. You tore your eyes from the small double bed in the corner and looked at him. ‘I know it’s not like the hotel from last time,’ he began. You could see the doubt in his eyes and knew that he now regretted not telling you beforehand that you would in fact be staying somewhere completely different.
‘It’s adorable,’ you said with a wide and truthful smile. You could see his eyes calm down a bit, his face returning to his usual expression. He nodded curtly.
‘Our luggage is over there,’ he said, pointing to the corner behind you. You turned to find your suitcase and bags piled up on each other. You realized now that you had brought way too much stuff, assuming you’d be staying in a hotel like last time and knowing how much space you had had then. There was no way you could possibly store all of your stuff in the few drawers that were here. You felt your cheeks flush, embarrassed by your mistake, even though it wasn’t really your fault.
Together, you unpacked your stuff while Seungmin softly hummed. He didn’t say much as he unpacked his own luggage. You could see from the corner of your eyes that he was purposely working slowly, as he had barely packed half of what you had brought and didn’t want to finish before you. You managed to unpack eighty percent of what you had brought with you. The remaining stuff, which you didn’t think you’d need, you stuffed back into the suitcase that you could place under the bed.
‘So what do you wanna do?’ Seungmin asked as soon as you were finished. You raised your brows at him.
‘I thought you said you wanted to start work early?’ you asked teasingly. Seungmin looked away from you, staring out the window, seeming to ignore your question.
‘I could give you a tour of the area, show you a beach that’s down the cliffs,’ he proposed, still looking out of the window. You nodded eagerly, realizing he wasn’t able to see, and then quickly gave him a ‘Yes, please.’
Seungmin took your hand and guided you out of the hut. Outside, the sun was warm and bright. There was only a little wind, even though you were on a hilltop surrounded by water.
‘You can roam around here freely,’ Seungmin spoke, gesturing to the stretch of grassy hilltop. ‘The entire island is ours.’
‘Island?’ you repeated sounding surprised. Seungmin nodded.
‘It’s only a small one though, just off the coast of Jeju, but still technically belonging to Jeju. You can only get here by boat, or the way we did, so there are not a lot of visitors,’ he explained. You looked over your shoulder at the thick row of trees.
‘What’s behind there?’ you asked curiously.
‘A dragon’s lair with the dragon guarding the island for us,’ he said calmly. You whipped your head around so fast that your neck made a cracking sound, looking at him with shocked eyes.
‘Dragon?!’ you exclaimed, shocked, but Seungmin chuckled when he saw your face. You clicked your tongue and hit him on his shoulder.
‘You’re too easy,’ he said with a soft chuckle. ‘Nah, there’s nothing there really. We planted the trees as an extra border against prying eyes, because boats can only dock on that side of the island. There’s a bit of nature, a picnic area, nothing too interesting, but just enough for people to not want to pass the line of trees,’ he explained. You nodded thoughtfully and pondered for a moment as you strolled over the hilltop with him, your hand still in his.
‘How do you buy an Island?’ you asked curiously after a while.
‘Dunno,’ Seungmin shrugged. You pulled up your brows at him. ‘Well, we didn’t exactly buy it or anything. We kinda just claimed it.’ This remark made you only pull your brows up even further. With his free hand, he brushed his thumb over the crease in your forehead as he looked at you before he continued to explain. ‘It wasn’t on any map when we first came here,’ he spoke, then frowned for a moment thinking. ‘If I remember correctly it used to be Chan’s Island, I think… Well, it was used by one of us before we became a group. Anyway, we kept it, managed to keep it off the map, and keep it from being sold off. It used to be Hyunjin’s gallery for a while before electricity was invented. Ever since then none of the boys were really interested in it anymore, so I kind of claimed it for my own,’ he explained.
‘Is there no electricity then?’ you said surprised. Seungmin shook his head.
‘The furnace works on fire, which doubles as a hearth and there is clean running water, but no, no electricity,’ he said simply.
‘But then how do you do your research?’ you asked him with big eyes. This time it was his turn to look at you with raised brows.
‘Just, by hand,’ he said with a shrug, as if it was the most logical thing ever. You gaped at him. ‘Honestly, I prefer it that way. Whenever I bring in computers and alter the weather only the slightest it messes up the entire computer’s algorithm. So I stick with the analog stuff. Much more accurate,’ he explained. You huffed incredulously but were also impressed by his dedication. Thinking about what he had said, you looked up at the sun. It was warm and felt nice on your face. Not too hot, not too cold. You were quite sure he was currently controlling the temperature to make sure you were comfortable.
Seungmin guided you down some narrow steps at the edge of the cliff which looked quite old but still seemed to be well kept. At the bottom, there was a small private beach with soft white sand.
‘It’s high tide now, so you don’t have to worry about not being able to get back or anything. This is as high as the water will go,’ he said pointing at the white foam washing ashore from the deep blue waters. ‘The terrace of the cabin also looks down on the beach,’ he said pointing upward. You looked up at the steep cliff, squinting your eyes against the bright light to see the underside of the terrace at the back of the cabin.
After going back up the steps again, the two of you returned to the cabin.
Seungmin checked his watch and pulled up his nose.
‘I gotta start working now, for real,’ he said with an apologetic look on his face. ‘Let me know if you need anything,’ he kindly offered. You nodded. Just as you were about to turn around to grab some of your stuff he suddenly grabbed your arm and pulled you back, swiveling you around. Before you could even blink or breathe, you felt his soft lips on yours. Unlike his action, his kiss was soft, careful, almost hesitant. But even so, the world still instantly disappeared from your thoughts. You wrapped your arms around his neck and kissed him back, your heart swelling at the taste of his lips. Just when you thought you were going to melt into him, a beeping sound interrupted the two of you.
Seungmin broke the kiss, and for a moment you were quite lost as to where you were, before landing again. Seungmin clicked his tongue annoyed, checking his softly beeping watch and pushing the button to make it stop. He looked up at you apologetically.
‘I really gotta set up my stuff now,’ he said, his tone soft and regretful.
‘R-right,’ you said with a slightly dazed nod. For a moment, you had totally forgotten about why you were actually there. You felt a little stupid as you watched Seungmin gather his stuff. You couldn’t help but feel disappointed, even though you knew he was here to work. You expected that you would have at least a few hours with him before he had to start his work, especially since he picked you up from school so early. But, after all, he did tell you that he wanted to start early.
Not sure what to do, you sat down on the edge of the bed and watched Seungmin unpack all kinds of instruments that you had never seen before.
‘Where will you set it up?’ you asked him, staring at the telescope that looked like it had seen at least a few centuries.
‘The balcony,’ Seungmin said, nodding his head to the only thing that looked modern in the hut. Two large glass doors, at the back of the hut lead to a balcony, looking very similar to the ones that were stationed back home. He put a pen in his mouth and loaded his arms as full as he could. A few documents slipped out of his arms and he grumbled.
‘Here let me,’ you quickly offered, picking it up. You were about to hand it to him when you realized his arms were full already, and it would probably be best for you to carry it for him instead. He smiled, the pen between his teeth making it look quite comical.
Having one hand free, you opened the glass doors for him and stepped onto the balcony. It was larger than you had thought, but it contained no desk or anything to work on.
‘Erm?’ you began, holding the documents up at Seungmin, but he wasn’t looking at you. Instead, he sat down, cross-legged, and started to place the stuff on the floor. You quickly realized why there was no desk. Seungmin’s stuff took up about two-thirds of the old wooden balcony flooring. Clearly, no desk would be big enough to hold everything he needed. For a moment you wondered if it would be dangerous, having all those papers lying around, prone to getting blown away by the wind. But then you realized who you were with and you felt the urge to smack yourself on the forehead.
‘If there’s anything you need or anything I can do for you, don’t hesitate to ask. Okay?’ Seungmin said, looking up at you as soon as he was done setting up. You laughed.
‘Shouldn't I be the one saying that to you?’ you giggled. He grinned at you but didn’t say anything, brushing a hand through his fluffy hair and looking down at what seemed to be a star map in front of him.
Night had fallen, and you had quietly retreated to the dining table, reading through some homework you had to get done. Every now and then, you looked outside at Seungmin, who was still pondering long and hard over different maps, using weird-looking instruments that measured things you didn’t understand. You prepared a simple meal when you realized he had been too caught up in his work to realize it was dinner time. He took it from you thankfully, patting your head softly before eating while continuing to work.
You had always known Seungmin was a dedicated person. Whenever he set his mind to something, he gave himself to it wholeheartedly. His dedication and perseverance were something you respected and admired about him.
Whenever you looked up from your books at him, he was scribbling away on his papers, as the stars became brighter and the sky became darker and darker.
You opened your eyes but everything remained dark.
A soft warm blanket was wrapped around you. Slowly your eyes were starting to adjust and you could make out the shapes of a bookcase and a table. You were in the cabin still.
You sat up in the dark, looking around you. You were not where you had last been. The last thing you could remember was sitting at the table with your books. You looked over. Your books were neatly stacked into a pile on the corner of the table.
Automatically, your eyes drifted through the large glass doors that let the only light into the cabin. A dark shape was standing outside, looking through a telescope.
He was still working then. You had no idea what time it was, but he must’ve come in for a bit and carried you to the bed before tucking you in. You yawned. A part of you wanted to get up and tell Seungmin it was time for him to come to bed, as it was probably already very late. But you knew he would probably reject your offer since he wasn’t done yet. You yawned again. Besides, your legs felt heavy, your head fuzzy. You lay back down. He’d come when he was done, yes. You were… too tired… anyway…
When you opened your eyes again everything seemed different. The early light was pouring through the windows, creeping in like a golden blanket, covering the floor and table. You blinked in the bright light. Seungmin’s face was next to yours. He was asleep. You were glad to see he had finally come to bed, you were worried that he had worked all through the night, but seeing him like this eased your heart. His pink lips were closed, as he breathed slowly through his nose. His cheeks were getting slightly squashed by the pillows, making him look even cuter than normal. A puppy asleep.
For a while you just lay there, looking at him, taking in his soft appearance. It was easy to forget that he had already seen decades with his boyish appearance. You knew he was often mistaken for a college or even high school student, causing him to prefer to wear suits outside the house. Not that you minded it though. He looked damn good in them.
You smiled at his sleeping face.
By the time the sun was halfway up in the sky, you finally decided to get out of bed. Quietly, you snuck into the kitchen hoping to surprise him with a nice breakfast.
You found some eggs and veggies in the kitchen cabinets and went to work as silently as you could.
You were just about to turn the omelet when two arms suddenly wrapped around your waist, and a kiss was planted on your neck.
‘Good morning,’ Seungmin hummed in a low sleepy voice. He held you close to him and you could instantly feel your face turn red.
‘Morning,’ you giggled. ‘I wanted to surprise you with breakfast in bed, but now you have gone and ruined it.’
‘Sorry my presence ruined your day,’ he said in a sleepy but playful tone. His voice was soft as he spoke, his breath tickling your neck and you instantly felt the heat in the lower pits of your body rising.
‘No, it didn’t, I’m just-,’ you said quickly trying to apologize while hiding your red face. Seungmin chuckled and gave you a teasing squeeze before letting go of you again. A coldness seemed to wrap around your body where he had been touching you before, but the heat on the inside of your body hadn’t left you.
‘Slept well?’ Seungmin asked casually as he sat down at the tiny wooden table. You nodded eagerly in response, still hiding your pink face from him.
‘You?’ you asked conversationally, as you flipped the omelet. It seems to be ready now.
‘Just about enough for another day of work,’ Seungmin answered with a stretch and a yawn. You looked around at him in surprise as you put the omelets on a plate.
‘Another day?’ you huffed incredulously as you walked over to him.
‘Yeah. What? You think I can really map the entire night sky in one night?’ he chuckled, raising a brow.
‘Well, you worked so long and hard yesterday,’ you said with a small voice. Seungmin raised his arm, cupping your face with his hand and stroking your cheek with his thumb.
‘I’m sorry sweetheart, I promise I’ll give you some attention soon, okay?’ he said sweetly. His hand on your face almost seemed to burn you from the inside out. You felt your thigh muscles flex involuntarily and your mouth felt dry. With a hand that seemed to lose it’s grip, you quickly handed him his plate with the omelet.
The heat inside of you hadn’t gone away since that morning. You thought that maybe it was the magic of Jeju Island, but you found yourself caring less and less for the reason as your mind started focusing on other things…
Seungmin had already started setting up his materials again outside on the balcony. The sky was looking a spectacular shade of blue again, promising another day of warmth and sunshine. You watched Seungmin rolling up his sleeves as he unfolded a star map on the ground, holding a pencil between his pink lips. The sight of it made you bite your own lip. How could he look so hot doing something so mundane? Heat was creeping up on you and you felt like those early days again, when the ache had confused and scared you, not knowing what or who you were back then. But this time, you didn’t fight it. You would’ve embraced it happily, but you knew you couldn’t bother Seungmin in his work right now. You sighed.
You went through your baggage, hoping to find something to distract you for the day, as studying wouldn’t be an option now anyway. Your fingers slid over a smooth fabric and you picked the item up. It was your bikini. You remembered the private beach at the bottom of the cliffs that Seungmin had shown you. Maybe a dive into the cool ocean waters would turn down your heat for the time being.
You quickly changed into the bikini, throwing a towel over your shoulder and taking a bag with some stuff you might need in your hand before opening the glass doors to the balcony. Seungmin looked up at the sound. Instantly his eyes slid over your mostly naked body, the pencil between his teeth still there. His gaze almost made you gulp, but you knew you had to hold back. You couldn't bother him during work.
‘I’m going down to the beach for a bit, okay?’ You said quickly. Seungmin nodded, still staring at your body for a second before blinking and catching your eyes again.
‘Have fun,’ he said simply, taking the pencil from between his lips and turning back around again to continue his sketch. A slight pang of disappointment went off in the back of your head. Of course, you had hoped he would stop working for you, but you knew how important it was to him.
When you stepped out of the cabin the sun felt a little bit brighter and the wind even warmer and softer. Had he done that for you, or had you just not noticed the temperature that much from inside the cabin you wondered.
You made your way down to the beach, taking off your slippers and stepping into the soft sand with your bare feet. The sensation of it was so nice. The sand was warm but not hot, feeling like a warm soft blanket around your feet as you walked. You put down your towel in the middle of the beach and sat down on it, looking over the stretch of blue ocean. It sparkled brightly, as soft waves faded in and out of the sand. It would have been calming, had you not been so incredibly horny.
A creaking noise suddenly drew your attention. You looked up and around. You were sure you had seen a shadow, retreat back onto the deck, disappearing and leaving nothing to see. Had he looked over to see if you had arrived safely? Or had he secretly been watching you? Your lips curled.
You pulled open your bag, rummaging through it and finding what you were looking for, sunscreen. You grinned to yourself and stood up. Slowly you started putting the sunscreen on your body, stretching out each limb and rubbing on the sunscreen like you were live painting in an art show. All the while your ears were focusing hard, trying to listen and hoping for any more creaks of the balcony. You didn’t dare look up again, afraid of scaring him away if he was indeed looking at the show you were putting on for him.
The rest of the day you spent, in any ridiculous attempt possible as if no one might be watching, giving a sensual show of yourself. You “read” your book in the most unusual positions, trying to show off your curves as best as you could. You sunbathed for a while, laying on your tummy and even undoing the knot in the back of your top. You washed yourself in the ocean water, the moisture of it making your skin look sparkly and inviting.
But there was no response. Seungmin didn’t come down. Now and then you thought you heard some creaking of the balcony, but that might as well be him changing positions while he was working, which you knew he often did. But whenever you tried to sneak a peek at the balcony it seemed deserted. No shadow quickly withdrawing, nor one that stayed to admire you.
As the sun started to go down again, you decided to give up, feeling slightly frustrated and unsatisfied. When you arrived back at the cabin, Seungmin was still very much caught up in his work, scribbling away on pieces of paper frantically, with his hair slightly messy from putting his fingers through it so many times. You sighed and wrapped a towel around you.
Even when you brought him his dinner, since he seemed to have forgotten to eat, he barely seemed to look at you.
‘I’m going to take a shower,’ you told him, as you handed him his plate. He looked up, his brows slightly furrowed, and a surprised hazy look on his face.
‘What? Oh erm, right. But shouldn’t you eat?’ he asked, taking the plate from you. You smiled softly at him.
‘I already did,’ you told him kindly. Apparently, he really hadn’t heard you when you called him in for dinner before. Seungmin nodded, taking a quick bite from his food before continuing to work again.
You took your time in the shower, considering for a moment to please yourself instead to satisfy that desperate ache, but deciding against it. It felt too awkward with Seungmin right outside, even though you knew you couldn’t have him. So instead, you took your time washing, shaving, and scrubbing yourself, like a small spa day.
By the time you came out of the shower, the sun had already gone down. You looked on the balcony but were surprised to find an empty and clean balcony with no trace of Seungmin. Confused, you stepped out onto the balcony, walking over to the edge and peering down at the beach, but even if he was there, it was too dark to see anything.
‘Looking for me?’ a soft voice asked, tickling your neck. Startled, you turned around on the spot. You were standing face to face with Seungmin, who put his arms on the ledge on either side of you. He tilted his head to the side questioningly. It was as if the breath was knocked out of you while his piercing blue eyes kept you nailed to the spot.
‘You’ve been toying with me all day,’ he said accusingly. Your lips parted and you inhaled as if you were about to come up with a protest, but the heat between your legs made you unable to speak. Even in the dark, the blue of his eyes was still breathtaking. The last rotating wheel in your brain seemed to understand that he had in fact been watching your show all day, secretly.
Seungmin suddenly grabbed you, turning you around, making you face the open ocean. He took hold of your hands, bringing them up and laying them on the banister of the balcony, before wrapping his arms around you and pushing his front against your back. Something hard poked into one of your buttcheeks.
‘Were you really that scared that I would not pay any attention to you this weekend?’ he whispered into your ear. Before you could even process his question his tongue licked the side of your neck. A shudder went through you. ‘You seem to forget that I can detect temperature changes, including the ones in you,’ he whispered. His hands moved over your belly, down to the edge of your pajama shorts. You gasped as his hand dipped underneath the waistband and his fingers found your sensitive spot. His fingers instantly went to work, drawing circles on your clit and pulling soft moans from your mouth as his lips and tongue kissed and nipped your neck.
Your mind went blank and all you could focus on was the heat between your legs. Leaning back against him, he teased your most sensitive spot until you could barely stand anymore.
You let out a soft squeal when he pinched your clit teasingly between his fingers, stopping while you were on the edge. The unexpected discomfort made you open your eyes and gasp for breath, drawing you back slightly from your high but not at all turning you off.
‘Minnie,’ you whispered his name over your shoulder, your lips searching for his. He brushed over them, but not letting you kiss him, as he withdrew his hand.
‘You have been keeping me from my work all day and you expect to be rewarded?’ He teased with a low voice. You let out an involuntary whine. He completely let go of you, a smirk on his face as he created just enough space between the two of you so that you weren’t touching him, but you could still feel the heat of his body, smell his warm summery scent.
Even with your mind losing the ability to think, you knew what he wanted. You turned against the railing towards him. Seungmin tilted his head, his usual side tilt, but this time the puppy was nowhere to be found in his eyes.
‘How about I reward you for your hard work?’ You whispered. Your voice came out softer than you had intended, husky with want, but he still heard you. His blue eyes darted from yours to the wooden floor of the balcony and there was nothing more he needed to say. Obediently you went down on your knees, looking up at him with half-lidded eyes. He lifted his chin higher, the smirk on his lips growing wider as he looked down at you sitting there, ready for him.
‘Well, go on then,’ he said coolly, ‘you seemed to know how to use your hands perfectly fine when you were putting on sunscreen this afternoon.’ You bit your bottom lip in an attempt to hide your embarrassed smile but raised up your arms and put your hands on his belt. You kept your eyes on your work, having to focus on unbuckling his belt and unbuttoning his pants, as your mind seemed to be working much slower than usual, while he watched you closely. Your lips parted in anticipation when you finally drew down his boxers.
You had known he was already hard when he had been standing against you, but seeing his size springing free from its confines still made you lick your lips. Your eyes flicked up to his for a moment which looked at you, hesitantly, apprehensive but still eager.
Carefully, you wrapped your hand around his length, and instantly he let out a soft sigh, barely audible even to you. You let your hand move up, stopping just before the start of his sizable head. A bead of clear precum appeared on his tip and eagerly you licked it. The sweet taste and Seungmin’s soft inhale made you hungry for more. Without waiting any longer, you wrapped your lips around his tip and sucked softly. You could hear Seungmin exhale long, low, and softly.
Slowly you let your lips slide down his length, until his tip hit the back of your throat and you couldn’t go any further. As you started bobbing your head up and down his hard shaft, you could hear him breathing heavily, now and then soft moans escaped him. Eagerly, you sucked his dick, trying to take him in deeper with every stroke and hollowing out your cheeks as best as you could. You could feel the clean panties you had just put on getting more and more soaked with every second, that familiar tension only increasing.
Just when your eyes were starting to water you could feel him starting to twitch in your mouth. You knew he was close now. You wanted to continue, eager to make him cum, please him, and taste him on your tongue. Your hand was starting to slip between your thighs.
‘Stop,’ he breathed shortly. Instantly, you pulled back, looking up at him. His eyes were closed, his lips parted as he panted, his chest heaving. Without looking, one of his hands found the top of your head, first patting your hair before cupping your face. With his free hand, he pulled up his boxers, covering up his wet length, which instantly left a pretty stain on them. He looked down at you, the corners of his mouth lifting, and you knew you had done well in pleasing him, making your heart pound in your chest and the butterflies flutter through your stomach.
‘I’m not done with you yet,’ he panted, grinning.
His thumb brushed over your lips before he nodded at you as a sign for you to stand up. You instantly obeyed, ignoring the discomfort in your legs from sitting weirdly for a while.
‘Get on the bed,’ he commanded softly. His blue eyes were lidded now too and his gaze was hungry. Heart pounding, you quickly went inside, jumping on the bed as he followed behind you closely. You had barely sat down on the bed when he climbed onto it, straddling you. You looked at him in surprise.
‘Do you trust me?’ he asked softly, his voice breathy. You nodded instantly. ‘Then close your eyes,’ he added. You closed your eyes and felt his lips upon yours again. Passionately, you kissed him back, the world disappearing and completely melting into him. But a sudden buzzing feeling on your lips made you pull back startled, your eyes still closed shut.
‘It’s okay, you can trust me,’ Seungmin said softly, succeeding in comforting you. The gears in your head seemed to turn slowly. You knew he would never hurt you, you had just been startled, that was all. You bent towards him again, allowing your mind to relax and be open to whatever Seungmin wanted to do. He didn’t kiss you this time, however. You could feel him laying his hands on top of your shoulders. They were warm, but not hot like Changbin’s usually were. Then a soft buzzing feeling started to tickle your shoulders. It almost felt like your skin was vibrating, a tingling that seemed hard to describe.
‘Is that okay?’ Seungmin asked carefully. With your eyes still closed, you smiled, letting out a breathy “Yes,” for him. Slowly, he moved his hands up and down your shoulders, collarbones, and neck, almost like a massage. There was no pain, but it definitely felt different than when someone would touch you with a normal hand. This felt… exciting, new. Maybe even a little… dangerous. The feeling of playing with something you normally shouldn’t made you clench your thighs together and bite your lip.
‘Can I take off your top?’ Seungmin asked. You were sure he had sensed something in you, causing him to ask, but still being careful. As an answer, you put your arms up for him. The buzzing feeling stopped and he used his hands to pull the top over your head. You heard him let slip a soft groan as he found out you weren’t wearing anything underneath. For a moment you wished to see his face. See his blue eyes rake your body as he would lick his lips, his cheeks slightly flushed with his own heat. But you kept them closed as he had asked, focusing on what you were feeling. His hands went back to your shoulders again, and the buzzing feeling returned. This time he started stroking your body with the tips of his fingers, the tingling and vibrating feeling making you breathe deeply, almost entrancing you.
His fingers brushed your collarbones, moving lower to your chest until they rested upon your breasts. Suddenly his lips were on yours again and as he kissed you, his fingers closed around your nipples. You gasped in his mouth, the new form of stimulation almost seeming to knock the breath out of you. You could feel his lips smiling as he continued kissing you, massaging and pinching your nipples while using his powers as you moaned into his mouth. Whatever it was that he was doing seemed to have a direct connection to the heat between your legs, and before you knew it you were a hot moaning mess, your hole clenching desperately around nothing.
‘Seungminnie,’ you whined onto his tingling lips. He let go of your oversensitive tits and for a moment you felt disappointed, but then he pushed you gently onto your back. You half opened your eyes, and before you could even blink he had removed both your pants and panties and his own clothes. The deep blue pools of his eyes were lidded, and they seemed to be whirling like water pools. His cheeks were slightly pink with heat as he panted eagerly. You stretched your hand out to him, needing to feel him, which he took, intertwining his fingers with yours and holding your hand tightly. He pushed your arm above your head, placing himself between your legs. With his free hand, he trailed down your body, his finger buzzing and tingling over your skin as it went down, stopping just above your clit. Your eyes locked for a moment, and there was nothing more you needed to say to him. He positioned his length between your thighs and pressed into you. The way your walls stretched around his cock as he filled you up made your eyes roll into the back of your head.
He didn’t leave you much time to adjust to him as he instantly started fucking you with deep long thrusts. You panted and whined with bliss, the feeling of finally being filled up, making you drunk with love. Seungmin’s free hand moved over your body again, stopping on your clit this time. His thumb started to buzz and tingle your skin and you knew what was coming. Putting it carefully on your sensitive bud, never stopping his thrusts, he started to draw circles on you. An endless stream of moans escaped your mouth now, as Seumgin fucked you deeply, his thumb playing with your clit. The electricity that was literally running through your body made everything feel amplified, pleasure spreading through your entire body. Then he hit that spot that made you gasp, the feeling so intense that you had lifted yourself from the bed, sitting up to face him. Seungmin was breathing heavily. His hair sticking to his forehead as his lips produced the most beautiful soft pants. He grinned at you, seeing your fucked out face, your tongue between your teeth. Clearly, it encouraged him even more as the tingling feeling on your clit intensified.
‘Minnie I-,’ you whined, but before you could finish your sentence, he sent a spark to your core, tipping you over the edge instantly. Your veins seemed to be electrified, tingling, buzzing, and sizzling from the tips of your fingers to the ends of your toes.
But Seungmin wasn’t done yet. He removed his hand from your core, gripping your hips with both hands and continuing his steady pace. Your orgasm started to wash away and overstimulation was taking over your body. Your arms holding you up gave out and you fell back on the bed, but Seungmin’s pace didn’t falter. Instead, he bent over you, his eyes finding your barely open ones. He didn’t have to talk to make you understand. He was getting close too. Your tingling arms reached out for his face, cupping it and pulling him closer so you could kiss him. His lips melted into yours sweetly as his cock still stretched you with every thrust. He let out small gasps on your lips as you kissed him, his movements starting to feel more and more strained.
‘Fill me up Seungmin,’ you whispered onto his lips. Your words were all he needed. You could feel his dick spasm inside of you and he let out a long deep groan as he emptied himself deep inside of you. In a daze, his lips found yours again, kissing you deeply, sloppily. But you knew what it meant.
