A cozy little horror corner

This is my little side blog for my horror comics. I'm using this place to collect my nightmares, hallucinations during sleep paralysis, thoughts and the like. I have been asked how I’ve been doing and if I’m okay because i haven’t posted lately, so I thought I’d quickly update you and let you all know that I’m doing alright, I’m just very busy and still low on energy. I am taking steps to battle my fatigue and other things that keep me from working as much as I want though and I hope I can soon find both the time and energy to post some more comics here. I thank you for your patience and support, it means a lot to me!

Replacement

A somewhat surreal scenario I thought about sometimes as a kid for no reason that scared me.

A very quick note:

There are more colored comics I wish to make, some of them I have already sketched out completely. Due to a lot of work though, it will take me a while to finish them. I just wanted to let you know that there will be more colored artwork, sleep paralysis and nightmares. Possibly cats too.

Sad Smiling Lady

As a kid, there were a small handful of minor reoccurring hallucinations I had. I also used to get sick a lot. When I would have a very bad fever, I tended to get intense fever dreams or vague hallucinations I wasn’t used to.

One time, when I was around 10 years old, it seemed like a hazy lady was staring at me, and when I asked her to leave me alone, she said that she couldn’t yet. The thing that stuck with me though was that she assured me not to be afraid because she didn’t hate me, but that she didn’t like herself to be around either. I remember feeling bad about this, I was half asleep and everything was blurry so due to my fever, it made perfect sense to me that a stranger would come into my room and tell me about their self-hatred, and thus I kept muttering things to her and tried to assure her that everything will be okay. I think I even asked her how her day had been and if she had a pet. I don’t remember understanding anything she said or if she ever really replied, fever dreams tend not to be very clear. All I know is that in the end, she smiled and nodded and then disappeared. She was one of the few hallucinations I never saw again.

Red Riding Hood

This is a very early version of the fairy tale, including involuntary cannibalism and no hunter saving them.

I made this comic in 2012, I remember I posted the first part of this on an old blog of mine, so here is everything in one post. I translated this from German (the original story was French if I am not mistaken. It is not the one by Charles Perrault, this one is believed to be a bit older.)
