Superhero whose power is being able to hear the extradiegetic soundtrack to every scene he's in

Sometimes gives him what seems like an ability to anticipate the future - he hears sudden boss music when the main supervillain is about to appear or when stakes are changing

Mostly it's annoying. He learns far more about other superheroes personal lives based on the muffled sexy or heartfelt music playing from other rooms

Has headphones in and is So Grumpy most of the time

Bonus if he suddenly perks up sometimes because he knows a specific person is about to come in

Imagine being gay and literally being able to hear somebody's leitmotif before they arrive on scene

(Not to mention hearing a twisted version of someone's leitmotif as they start to turn to the villain's side or, even better, hearing it suddenly change key as they're dying)

im just saying even if youre going forwards with the preconceived notion that cops improve conditions for people in need wouldnt social workers have a more substantial impact in that field anyway? but every time people are like hm how can we show that this troubled youth wants to help people who grew up under similarly troubled conditions. i know! 🐷
