Watching Anne With An E is so fucking jarring to me because like⦠these characters are sixteen⦠and they look sixteen⦠the girls arenāt wearing heavy makeup⦠the cast isnāt vetted based on looks, so while theyāre by no means ugly, they look NORMAL, like theyāre normal looking kids with normal faces, looks arenāt even a concernā¦
And these characters- these girls- are sixteen/seventeen, and theyāre not performing sexiness, theyāre not falling over each other and having tons of sex, theyāre just running around like the young teens they are in clothing thatās not designed to make them look sexy, theyāre reading and having romantic interests but theyāre just crushes and school things, and theyāre playing in the woods and having fun and likeā¦
God, I know living in that era would be hell and thatās not what Iām saying I would want but⦠oh, to be sixteen, and to be able to just be a child, and not be told at every turn to be sexy and have sex and wear heavy makeup and perform feminity or perform anything or be hot. Oh, to just be a sixteen-year-old who runs around with their friends in the woods and writes for the school paper.Ā
And then thereās that fucking scene, in the episode where Anne and her friends decide that their bodies are worth respect and fully under their own control, that one scene where they all sneak out at midnight, all the girls together, in their white nightrobes, and light a bonfire in the woods⦠and they wave flowers and chant that they are women, they belong only to themselves, they deserve to respect themselves, their minds as well as their bodies deserve respect, and then they dance around the fire laughing and ruby collapses and they ask her whatās wrong and she says,Ā āoh, being a woman can be so lovelyā or something along those lines and just hhhhhghgghghghghghghhhgghā¦.. the sisterhood⦠the camraderieā¦.. the joy despite it allā¦. i want it
and then i go on tiktok and see 14 year olds in crop tops and short shorts dancing to a song about anal sex or smth and iām like,Ā āoh, shit, weāre all being groomedā
Hey y'allš
I have a film for you this time djfbbdj
This is one of the bachelor projects we did before we graduated this year.
So, 10 years ago my mom made my grandpa's coffee place into a gay bar. She had drag shows almost every day, it was basically a dream room for queer baby me. But one of the acts wasn't drag, it was GeorgƩ. He was a belly dancer and my mom's best friend. After the bar closed he moved away and one night we were told that he had passed away.
Obviously I was very young. Meeting GeorgĆ© changed my life so I wanted to bring him back for a few more minutes. I wanted to show how magical he was and let my mom give him one last hug. So here we are š¤

Sometimes good parents make mistakes.
There might come a day when you look at your parent who loves you, tries their best, never abused you, and realize that they donāt always know best. And itās a weird thing to come to terms with. To know you were loved but there were still bad things that they did accidentally. But even if itās small youāre allowed to struggle with it. You donāt need to have been through the worst kind of abuse to question your parents.
This isnāt a post about abusive and/or manipulative parents. Itās about things like your mom leaving you with an irrational fear of germs or your dad trying to get you on a diet when youāre a kid because he believes the studies about weight affecting health. Not intentional harm and not abuse. Just garden variety mistakes.
this made me cry, so i have to share it. i canāt tell you how much of this feels like it was about my childhood.
āSome nights, always alone, I go out in stolen makeup and womenās clothes with an ID I found in a lost wallet. I never feel more male than on these nightsā
this has been fucking me up for a minute
there is too much that i want to quote here and not enough to convince you that this will be one of, if not the,Ā most important pieces you will read this year.
āI hate that the only effective response I can give to āboys are shitā is āwell Iām not a boy.ā I feel like I am selling out the boy in baseball pajamas that sat with me on the bed while I tried to figure out which one I was supposed to be, and the boys who I have met and loved from inside my boy suitāwho believed they were talking to a boy. I feel like I am burning the history of the naked body that sits on the floor of my shower. The body that went to prom in a boxy tuxedo and coveted the gowns.ā
Everybody should mandatorily have to read this article before they claim to be an ally to trans women.

I am abt to lose my fuckin mind because I happened upon this gender reveal party. and like itās soo over the top expensive
And like Iām like. Oh great, a horse themed gender reveal party.
complete with like ⦠just truly excessive foods and of course, themed cocktails
and this sign which like⦠the fragility of like *not* italicizing the word ācoltā. Like imagine being this weird abt gender
with like, a bucket that eventually ārevealedā the gender
But like⦠the picture that really just completely undid me, for this party which surely was more money than many weddings -
itās not a horse themed gender reveal party. Itās a gender reveal party FOR A HORSE. I canāt even like imagine the life that would lead to hosting a gender reveal party for a not-yet-born horse. Think abt getting an invitation to this. the cis are at it again.
This horse is having her own special day and you treat her like this
and this is how Lister is gonna accidentally out his feelings for Jimmy to the entire internet.

i havenāt been on here recently and i come back and iwbft2 is gonna be a thing ?!?!?!?!?!?! im freaking outĀ
