SO MY ORDER CAME A LITTLE LATE RIGHT BUT DIDNT MIND IT WAS MY FOOD
So i open up the robot, i grab my bag of panera.... and inside the robot there is also just a box of wings and other stuff???
So i'm thinking that it must be doing other rounds of food and i'm not gonna steal someones food so i look around,
no smoothie
So i call in the support team i'm like "hey uh, i didn't get my smoothie. Can i get like a refund?"
so the lady on the other end goes "can you take a picture proving you didn't get it" and i'm like "yeah that makes sense" and i take a picture of the lone panera
she then says "can you take a picture of whats in the robot" i'm like yeah that also makes sense also i got someone else's order??? so i take a picture of that and send it with the panera bag.
She takes like 10 minutes and she's like "can you prove that the smoothie is not inside the paper bag"
NOW I'M LIKE PLEASE REPEAT THAT SENTENCE BUT SLOWER. IF THE SMOOTHIE WAS INSIDE THE PAPER BAG THERE WOULD BE BIGGER ISSUES.
BUT I DONT SAY THAT. I TAKE A PICTURE INSIDE THE BAG AND NOW I'm just trying to prove i didn't get the smoothie i PAID for and ORDERED.
BUT. THE ROBOT STARTS LEAVING AS THIS LADY KEEPS ASKING FOR MORE PROOF
SO I JUST JUMPED INFRONT OF IT
BUT IT KEEPS LEAVING SO I JUMP ON IT
AND IT STARTS MAKING THIS LOUD ASS ALARM NOISE AND EVERYONE IS LOOKING AT ME LIKE IM THE BAD GUY WHO'S ATTACKING A POOR INNOCENT ROBOT BUT IM ACTIVELY GETTING STOLEN FROM BY THIS COMPANY AND I NEED IT TO STAY UNTIL THIS LADY BELIEVES I DIDN'T SHOVE THE SMOOTHIE UP MY ASS SO I CAN GET MY GODDAMN 12 DOLLARS BACK BC MONEY'S TIGHT AND IM IN COLLEGE
Hey North I don't want to be rude here but did steamboat Willie get like retconned or like scrapped because he wasn't in the star meeting and he hasn't been mentioned since
He did not get retconned or scrapped!
In fact, we VERY subtly hint to him in some of the panels!!!
Gaysauce, do you have any advice on writing characters who made colassol mistakes because of something they really want? I've been trying to figure out how with a character in my story and I'd like to see your two cents if you have the time! ^^
I think that entirely depends on what the character did, and how you want them to react.
Do you want them to get better? Do you NOT want them to get better? Do you want to explore their inner turmoil? do you want to explore their thought process in AVOIDING the blame?
One thing that i see a lot of writers not do when writing a character who did bad things is focus on how their actions affected other people.
The reason i didn't like jax so much was because we never got to see her actions from other people's perspectives. It was always told to bolster her character rather than focus on the pain it caused the others. The audience wasn't unwilling to look past it, we just never had the chance to because the show constantly told us to excuse it, making ragatha, pomni, ribbit and hell even gangle into these super passive people who were determined to find some goodness in someone who never showed them the same, and yet the show constantly showed jax having inner turmoil and panic attacks, while having each character reach out and do the work for her to try and understand her.
Everyone did the work for jax, but it made every character INCLUDING jax really flat and boring. If you replaced ribbit with ragatha nothing would change about the story. Same with replacing ragatha with pomni and pomni with zooble and so on and so forth.
What you gotta focus on is what you want to show for the character. You have to tell the audience;
What did this character do? Why was it bad? why should we care that it's bad? Did it hurt anyone? How do they feel? Why should they forgive this character? Should they forgive this character at all??? Will the character continue to try and be better even if no one forgives them?? Will the character get worse??? if they do get worse, How will you tell the audience NOT to be like this?
Obviously i'm generalizing based on little things that i've seen from different stories. I don't know your story but i REALLY WANT TO!!!!
Again i'm not perfect nor am i acting like i am, i just hope these little questions help you bolster yr character!!!

When we first started this project, fly had to cajole me into getting into the story a little bit, as I was a little intimidated by the premise. They burst into my room at around 2-3am holding Hailey Senpai's voice dub right to my still-waking face, and made a bet with me saying "I bet you could rewrite this." I was hesitant. But after seeing so many awesome rewrites, I say down and decided "Ah what the heck. Lets have fun with it."
And WE rewrote it :]
We spent nights upon nights throwing ideas at each other, sitting in our bedrooms at 9pm for the last few weeks of June, hammering down what we wanted and using our giant whiteboard to write out a timeline.
By the time we had come up with a pretty good premise, fly said that it was too fun not to do an ask blog, just like the good ol' days, but they were scared to do it. This was another point of my hesitancy, as my previous ask blogs were kind of stressful. I told them to do whatever they wanted, but they never did it.
Finally, i got the stick out of my ass, and I made it for them. I made the hyperlink, I made the hashtag system, I set up the profile and i spent an HOUR figuring out the stupid "Read from the beginning" link (that was later) I made a pfp and fly made a banner.
And it was done!
It never would have happened if fly and i didn't just say "Screw it." And forced each other to start the project.
Now we are here, we have a wonderful community, we have so many ideas, and best of all (my personal favorite)
We have so many new stories being told!!!
It feels like i'm a kid again. I'm always excited to talk about ideas with fly, discuss with friends, answer silly questions, see all the comic dubs, the art, the fan fictions the poetry the songs.
That people are loving creating art again.
I hope to see so much more. So many more stories, so many more characters, so many ideas, so many new friends.
This community is so freaking nice. I'm so glad to have stumble by it blindly and now I'm in love with the story, characters and also the nortsauce and fly that have THE GREENEST of thumbs. Happy 1 year anniversary MOTM this is just the beginning!
