Turkish Coffee is a traditional and aromatic way to enjoy coffee in Turkey. It's known for its strong, rich flavor and the unique brewing method that creates a frothy top layer of foam. It's often served with a glass of water and a small sweet treat.
Ingredients: 1 cup water. 2 teaspoons finely ground Turkish coffee. 1-2 teaspoons sugar optional. Cardamom optional, for flavor.
Instructions: If you want, you can add water and sugar to a special Turkish coffee pot called a "cezve." Do not boil the cezve. Just heat it over low heat until it's hot. Finely grind the Turkish coffee and add a pinch of cardamom for flavor, if you want. To mix the coffee, water, and sugar, stir them together well. Do not stir it while it is heating up. Wait until it starts to foam and bubble but does not boil over. That's how long it should take. Put the coffee in a small cup or espresso cup, but do not let it boil. Remember to add the foam on top. Give the coffee grounds a minute to settle down before you serve. Have fun with your real Turkish coffee!
