Since I started my fitness journey 3 years ago, I cannot count the number of times that I’ve stumbled, had a bad food day that then turned into a bad week or even a bad month. I’ve missed workouts, I’ve had injuries that have put me out of action for months at a time. I’ve taken holidays, I’ve been out drinking, I’ve eaten at restaurants with friends and family for special occasions and I’ve always pigged out on my birthday/Christmas/pancake day/everyone else’s birthday…you get the idea. After all of these events and after putting on a few pounds here and there I’ve always thought about how sometimes it’s not worth all the effort, all the food prep, all the workouts but after feeling sorry for myself for a few days I always pick my shit up and start moving forwards again! I got a notification from facebook saying that the first picture was posted 3 years ago…and only then I did I realise how far I’ve actually come which is the sum of all those times I felt like giving up but then carried on instead! You hear this all the time but self improvement is definitely not always a straight line and it’s never gonna work the way you want it to! But as long as you keep going for it you’ll get there eventually! Still got a long way to go but I’m proud of how far I’ve come.
i love following you because i have a really similar body type to your “before” pic- thanks for the motivation!
