OKAY! so i have talked to basil about this! and wade grew up with tom so he definitely had feelings for him first! HOWEVER, when maddie came into both of their lives, he started to gain a crush on both of them because of how amazing and kind they both were! he wanted to smooch the two of them more than anything !

     ❝     ouch !  that  must  have  hurt .     ❞     he  calls  out  in  a  lilting  voice ,  other  badnik’s  making  themselves  known  &  surrounding  the  two  of  them.  all  the  while ,  the  doctor  continues  his  approach.     ❝     let  me  make  something  abundantly  clear  before  we  go  any  further —   &  i’ll  try  to  make  it  as  simple  as  possible ,  so  to  not  confuse  you !     ❞     he  growls  out ,  expression  hard  &  biting   /   how  dare  this  lesser  life - form  think  to  challenge  me.     ❝     if  i  see  you  move  even  an  INCH  towards  that  firearm  again ,  i’ll  kill  you  where  you  stand .  that  means  no  more  green  hills  baseball  games ,  no  more  neighborhood  barbeques ,  &  no  more  ice  fishing  with  your  good  pal  tom !  do  i  make  myself  clear ?     ❞

      the MOMENT he felt the bullet hit into his hand, there was a cry of pain. his gun had dropped out of his hand and slid across the floor within that same instant, and the deputy felt like he was going to be begging for his life before the end of this. blood dripped out of the wound that was now a hole in his palm as he held it tightly within the left as if to stop it from bleeding out.

       eyes widened to see that that machines had taken over the space between the both of them and  just like that his brow knitted hard above his nose.

            “what do you even want in this town? you’re never going to get those kids, we’re all going to make damn sure of that..” his teeth gritted together through his words as his hand was starting to go numb, he thought that it was from his brain trying to stop itself from feeling the pain that had coursed through his body not seconds prior, but he would be wrong about that in time.

     for now he wouldn’t move, he didn’t want to die here, he had a son he had to go home to.

     well ,  he’ll  give  him  points  for  bravery.  the  doctor  smirks ,  one  corner  of  his  mouth  pulling  upward  into  a  lopsided  display  of  his  glee.  the  badniks  remain  concealed  for  now   /   but  trained  ear  could  hear  their  electric  HUM —   one  as  keen  as  robotnik  can  practically  feel  their  pulse !

     ❝     what  are  you  going  to  do ?  shoot  me ?     ❞     an  amused  chuckle ,  beginning  to  approach  the  other  man  with  confident  strides.     ❝     come  on ,  we  BOTH  know  you  don’t  have  what  it  takes  to  pull  that  trigger —   not  that  you  could !  you’d  be  dead  before  you  could  even  switch  the  safety  off ,  officer  friendly .     ❞

      oh, if only he knew what he would do for those that he loved. with his gun now out of it’s holster, wade pointed it to the sky and let his finger squeeze on the trigger until the bullet came shooting out. a ring in his ear because of the piercing sound that was still reverberating through the air, wade pointed the gun right at the doctor.

            “if you don’t leave, the next bullet will be aimed right at your kneecap.”

        THE  SUDDEN  HUG  STARTLED  HIM,  but  he  relaxed  after  a  second.    he  hadn’t  been  hugged  like  this  in  a  very  long  time,  not  since  maria  was  still  alive.    he  slowly  lifts  his  arms  to  hug  back,  not  at  all  matching  the  intensity  of  wade’s  hug.

         ❝ i’m  just  fine,  wade, ❞    HIS  VOICE  IS  MUFFLED,  as  he’s  directly  against  wade’s  chest.        ❝ i  didn’t  go  anywhere  tonight. ❞

     he sniffed lightly as he pulled back, feeling that the sudden embrace might have been too much for the hedgehog. he even laughed lightly because of his actions.

            “s-sorry about that, that nightmare felt so real..” he was smiling once again, trying to keep a brave face on while around his son. “i’m glad that you haven’t gone anywhere, but know that if you do to please keep leaving me those notes so i know where you go, alright?”

           “here’s the deal though, we’re not going to be going off onto the highway, we’re going to be going to an empty parking lot and learn how to drive, alright?” if he let sonic go straight for the busy highway--he was sure that tom would kill him.
