can you explain what you mean by spoon wing design?

Wings with membranes that end at/near the joint of the arm.

It might just be a me thing but I find it really hideous. It's also pretty bad design--just thinking uh. Realistically. Which I know. Dragons. Not really realism at it's core. But sometimes putting a bit of realism in the design can make it look better you know?

How isn't this realistic? Isn't this how birds and bats wings work?

The lack of membrane makes it harder for the wings to catch wind and properly lift.

Bird and bat wings aren't. Shaped like this. For the most part the width between wing and membrane (or feather) is fairly equal. I'm sure someone else can explain how this helps in flying better than me.

I love that Elizabeth Swann is such a teen girl fantasy like she’s beautiful and rich but sheltered and she’s in love with this nice, good-looking blacksmith that she helped rescue as a child and she almost drowns while she’s being proposed to by a young, handsome but proper and boring royal navy commander but then is RESCUED by a swaggering pirate captain and then gets kidnapped by pirates and the nice good-looking blacksmith comes after her and she has this weird tension with the swaggering pirate captain but she’s also deeply in love with the nice good-looking blacksmith and then there’s the complicated royal navy commander who’s willing to die for her and then she becomes the pirate king at the end of it all like????

Abigail Ashe: when the quill is mightier than the sword. A little wish fulfillment of mine, that she accompanied her journal. I might work on this a little more, the photo isn’t great lighting. I’m happy with my Abigail. The other 2 were added with only clothing refs, so more sketchy.

Eta: Better picture - sometimes I’m too impatient to wait for daylight. This was about 6 hours over 3 days.
