My Child Sleeps Under Gunfire — Please Help Me Save Him Before It’s Too Late
I am a father from Gaza. 🇵🇸🍉
Tonight, my child is sleeping next to me in a house that is already destroyed. The walls are cracked. The ceiling could fall at any moment. We live near the “Yellow Line,” under Israeli military control. Gunfire is not a distant sound here — it is part of our daily life.
Every single day, bullets are fired around us.
Every single day, shelling shakes what remains of our home.
Sometimes I hold my child in my arms when the explosions get closer. His small body trembles. His heart beats so fast against my chest. He does not understand war. He does not understand borders. He only understands fear.
I am his father — and I cannot protect him.
I cannot stop the bullets.
I cannot stop the shelling.
I cannot even promise him that tomorrow will come.
We are trapped in a place that is no longer safe for human life. I am begging for help to move my family to a safer area before we become another headline… or another number.
If 50 people donate just $25 each, we can gather enough to escape this daily nightmare.
For you, $25 might be a small sacrifice.
For my child, it could mean the difference between life and death.
Please — if you are reading this, do not scroll away.
Help me protect my child.
Donate if you can. Share if you cannot.
A father in Gaza is asking you for mercy. 🤍

Go to paypal.me/motasemjaper and type in the amount. Since it’s PayPal, it's easy and secure. Don’t have a PayPal account? No worries.
My name is Motasem, and today I write these words with a burden in my heart that no one could bear. The war has taken everything from me. I
unironically i think we need to bring back computer labs because APPARENTLY some people WERENT taught basic computer literacy and internet safety in school
things about computers/the internet i think kids should be formally taught in schools because theyre important to know and the amount of soon to be grown adults i know who know NOTHING about any of these is quite frankly almost all of them (and resources to learn if you dont know these things, because its never to late to get better with computers)
how to troubleshoot by yourself when you have a technical problem
what common file types are
some very basics on how to use ""developer tools"" on your computer (because i cant think of a better way to refer to them) like task manager and command prompt (and their mac equivalents, terminal and activity monitor ofc)
how to read and understand a privacy policy and what your personal data is, as well as what it being collected actually means and steps you can take to keep it private
how to understand terms of service
(hey. if you have trouble with reading legalese and worry about being able to understand these policies anyways, here's a site that gives basic summaries of privacy policies and ToS)
what a cookie actually is
internet privacy and your digital footprint!! seriously i dont know why we stopped teaching people that they shouldnt be putting their entire real identity online in a world where your online actions can ruin you irl
basic safety measures like antivirus software (and why you should use it or if the built in one on windows or mac is enough for you) and backing up your computer (also a mac guide)
common keyboard shortcuts (and on mac)
as an additional note: things i think everyone should know on computers and the internet but schools may bit hesitant to teach about for whatever moral/legal standards schools pretend to operate on
vpns and adblockers! (btw for most of these where you can pay for things im purposefully not recommending any specific software but seriously just use ublock origin for an adblocker)
how to not get a virus while pirating something
what a temporary email is and when to use one
red flags that you shouldn't trust a website (and how to quickly check the security of a site)
what javascript on a website does and how to disable it to get around paywalls
ok one last addition! if you want to take it one level higher, i think learning the very basics of at least one programming language is good for people. it makes computers less scary and it makes you feel very cool, and a lot of people get discouraged about it because it seems overly complicated and hard to learn outside a formal classroom setting, so heres some resources for learning the very basics of python (because i consider it the easiest language to learn and knowing one language will make it easier to learn others)
an online compiler so you dont need to download anything or worry about running code directly on your computer if that makes you nervous
a basic video guide to introduce you to python and walk you through beginner steps
a guide to some syntax and commands you should know (this was literally my lifeline in my first CS class)
some performance tasks to give you things to code to practice and assess yourself
I once saw a grown man say that websites were going to become obsolete because the blockchain would replace them within two years.
Educate yourselves, folks. Don't be one of those people. Learn absolute basic computer literacy.
Guys you don't know why all this is happening to us, since the day before yesterday I haven't received any donation. Do I deserve all this neglect in these difficult circumstances!!!! The news says that there is no deal on the horizon. From the heart of Gaza and the talking houses there is hope for a new life, a cessation of war and the rebuilding of our great homes, but this requires a lot of patience and steadfastness. It needs time. We hope that you will devote yourself to security that does not begin with fear, hunger, and the death and broken hearts of our loved ones. We hope to escape from the blood and the bombing that continues and the number of strikes due to the possibility of a truce.
My Campaign vetted by @gazavetters in line (#681)
Hello, I am Sara Murad

Since the day before yesterday I haven't received any donation, any donation, so we haven't eaten any kind of food since yesterday. Just help me. Donate even a little. It will save our lives and help us escape, please donate.
Today I did medical tests because I cannot walk a long distance due to lack of food and the anemia that I suffer from. I cannot even get the treatment. I suffer from severe anemia and I need medicines and treatments. Please donate to me and my family and do not leave us alone.🙏😭
For the third day in a row I have not been able to eat. We only live on water because we do not want to go to get aid because it is a trap for us and it is a (death trap). We cannot buy food because the prices are high. I ask you to help me by donating so that we can buy a little food that will help us to stay alive, me and my family. Please donate.
Unfortunately, my family and I are preparing to move south from Gaza City due to the intensification of strikes in our place of residence. The situation is very difficult and bad. There is no food, water, or medicine in the city. We are dying of hunger and there are no means of transportation south. We will walk for several kilometers. We do not have the energy, so please donate even a little so that we can get some food that will help us walk and exert effort and energy. Every donation helps save my life and my family’s. Please donate.
Please my friends, only 481 euros are left and we will be able to reach our short goal of 1000 euros. Please help me so that we can collect the costs of buying my treatment and buying some food. Please donate 🙏🏻❤️
Only 447 euros are left and we will be able to reach our goal of 1000 euros. Please help me so that we can collect the costs of my treatment and buy some food. Please donate 🙏🏻❤️
In simple words, my mother is fading away without the treatment she needs.
She isn’t asking for a miracle , only a chance to be treated.
If this were your mother, could you bear watching her breaths grow weaker each day?
I am living this nightmare, terrified that one day I will write that I lost her because we did not act in time.
Our family, especially my five-year-old daughter Lian, is facing a harsh winter in Gaza. While this season is meant for warmth, holidays, and relaxation for many around the world, we are surrounded by freezing nights, strong winds, and torrential rain, with no real shelter. Some nights are so cold that Lian cannot sleep because of the bitter chill and the lack of adequate blankets to protect her. We live in a tattered canvas tent that offers no protection from the cold and rain.
If you can help in any way, your support could mean warmth, dignity, and hope in a season that has taken so much from us. Please consider donating €50 to our family today; it will help us.
If everything in Gaza seems to have returned to normal, the reality is far from it. Winter has made an already unbearable situation even more difficult this cold season. My children need your help now more than ever. Please consider donating now.
As you can read, he and his family need urgent help!
His children are hungry, cold, and tired.
They live in a torn and tattered tent, not protected from the freezing cold or heavy rain.
They don't have access to nutritional food or clean water.
Please donate now!
Donate what you can, whether it's 50, 25, 10, 5 , or even just a dollar. Your contribution can help.
Donate so he can afford to provide his family with warm nutritional food, clean water, proper waterproof shelter, warm blankets, warm clothes, and other essentials to keep them warm and safe during the winter!!
Please don't scroll by and ignore!!
If you genuinely are unable to donate, please share his posts with someone who can donate and help. We need as many eyes on this as possible.
Make a post to raise awareness about their situation and share their story so more people can see and help. We need as much support as we can get.
Please do what you can from where you are!!
Your donations could be lifesaving! Your actions could be a lifeline!!
When the child from Gaza said, "We are children who never grow up," it wasn't just a passing remark; it was a reality we live every second. Even stars who made the world laugh, like Jackie Chan, couldn't hold back their tears at the weight of those words.
I am a prime example of the suffering we endure here in Gaza. I have been injured for over 550 days and have yet to undergo surgery to remove the metal fragments embedded in my body, and worse than that We live in a tattered tent that offers no protection from the rain or the bitter cold.
Please stop what you're doing now. Stop eating, we're hungry. Stop having fun, we're sad. Stop watching the matches, we've lost our schools. We're only asking to leave the Gaza Strip and live our lives in safety and peace, without killing, hunger, and destruction.
We hope to leave here for a safe country as soon as possible so that I can have my surgery and live in peace. Therefore, we need your voice, we need you to stand by us, we need you to see what we are going through, and we need your donations so that I can receive treatment and begin a new, safe life, please stand by us, please donate.
Please friends, please help us. You are our last hope. You are the only ones who can save us. Please donate to us. We desperately need all the help we can get. It's bitterly cold here now, and the cold is deadly. Please donate.
"Winter, with its atmosphere and rituals, used to represent a joy we never imagined would become a nightmare. 😭 It's harsh on every tent or house threatened with collapse."
In Gaza, for the third time winter means families are scrambling to keep warm. This is no different for Farah's family. Since last winter, they have only received one blanket from the UNRWA for an entire family of eight, which just isn't enough.
"Farah doesn't know that the reason for her shivering is the rain and the cold. She stops crying for a moment, then bursts into tears again."
Farah has both a mental and physical disability, which makes bearing the cold a challenge for her. Bad weather conditions are especially unpleasant for her, her mother Wesal (@shahdgazza) tells me.
[a video which shows Farah, a fifteen-year old autistic girl with kidney disease from gaza, crying because she is cold]
"A healthy person cannot tolerate cold conditions; how can I make a child with a mental disability endure them? My heart and body are trembling, but I'm covering myself with a thin summer blanket to try and keep my children warm. It's very dangerous. ‼️‼️‼️"
Blankets cost $50-$60 dollars in Gaza now, Wesal tells me, and she currently cannot afford that. With what I've sent her of your generous donations, she has bought medication for Farah, food, and warm winter clothes for her children. But with no other income currently, blankets are beyond their means. In the meantime, the rain keeps coming down, undeterred.
[a photo taken from a balcony showing the streets of Gaza completely underwater and people's tents destroyed from the rain and the wind]
"We take shelter under the rubble of homes that have been completely or partially destroyed. The situation is catastrophic. We hope to find someone to help us... 🙏🏻🌸"
Please help this innocent, sweet girl stay warm. A few days ago, Wesal told me that Farah almost froze to death, but thankfully one of her younger brothers who was also trying to sleep noticed and alerted his parents. This is the terrifying reality for the children of Gaza.
Please, if you are able, donate to Farah's fundraiser. You can also donate via Paypal. If you cannot donate, then share! You may think it doesn't make a difference, but it actually means so much. Only by keeping Gazan fundraisers circulating can we reach people who are able to help.
You can get a free commission by @/fablebagel if you donate $10 or more! Thank you, Fable. ❤️
Thank you so much to everyone who has donated so far. If you're not able to donate, at least consider sharing. Thank you.

🔴Being late means losing a life. Move now, even if just a little. 🙏🏻😭🙏🏻 My pregnancy is very weak 💔 Help save Farah’s life. Kidney failure ends her life🥀.🔺Don't turn a blind eye to our suffering, the situation is catastrophic 🥹 Asking for help is not easy, but the situation in Gaza is tragic 😭🙏 I thank every kind soul who contributed to overcoming this ordeal 🦋 🌿 Thank you for your humanity 🫂🇵🇸
🆘I thank everyone who took the initiative to save my family and gave them all the love and prayers. Thank you for the tearful eyes and the aching heart for our conditions. Special thanks to those who have become a butterfly of happiness for my children🦋💗 @oediex 🦋🌸🤎
The temperature in Gaza and Belgium are currently the exact same. Only 8°C/46.4°F. Of course I'm safe and warm inside and I have plenty of blankets, while this is not the case for Farah and her family.
They desperately need more and thicker blankets, because the ones that they have are not enough to keep the whole family warm. Wesal tells me that she is shivering at night, as she prioritises her children's health over her own.
Please keep sharing the fundraiser and donate if you are able, so that Wesal can buy some blankets for herself and her family. They deserve to know the comfort of warmth in the coming winter months.

Unfortunately, the Palestinian Ministry of Health has announced the suspension of chemotherapy, intravenous therapy, and medical follow-up services for cancer patients in the Gaza Strip. Eleven thousand cancer patients in Gaza, And I am one of them, I do not receive any treatmentand are at risk of death. I need you, I desperately need you, to be able to leave Gaza and pay for travel and treatment.

I am Raafat, 38 years old, from Gaza, a father of three. I die a little every day from the pain, the anguish, and the injustice. I have lost everything in this war: my home, my job, and my health. If you could see how my children and I live in Gaza, you wouldn't believe that a human being could endure all these horrors and still survive! If I were a rock, I would shatter; if I were a sea, I would evaporate; if I were a mountain, I would crumble; if I were iron, I would melt! But whoever perseveres, God will grant them patience.
I suffer from a malignant disease (CANCER)
A synovial sarcoma (also known as malignant synovioma) is a rare form of cancer which occurs primarily in the extremities of the arms or legs, often in proximity to joint capsules and tendon sheaths. It is a type of soft-tissue sarcoma
Report proves the necessity of traveling abroad to receive treatment
I need surgery and medication. I can't get the necessary treatment in Gaza. Every day I go without treatment, the cancer continues to spread in my body, so I desperately need money for treatment and travel. If you help me achieve my goal, you will be saving the life of an entire family, not just Raafat. Don't let this family, which has already lost so much, lose their father.

Heavy rain can mean something very different depending on where you're living, and what materials make up your dwelling. Flooding disproportionately impacts the most marginalized people in the deepest levels of poverty. It's by design.
My friend Fadel (@fadel-danii) is suffering these catastrophic consequences of the heavy rain in Gaza. The downpour tore through his family's tent and all of his supplies have been flooded.
Please donate what you can as soon as possible! I am scared for him. If he can't raise enough for repairs by tomorrow he will have to spend the funds he has saved for his healthcare on the tent.

Next to the screenshot of the article is a screenshot of my conversation with Fadel Aldani over the Signal App this morning, framed in a template of a mobile phone.
I am saying, "I'm so sorry" with a crying emoji.
He is saying, "It rained down here in Gaza in night. Tonight it rained and tore our tent and all the water came for us. All our supplies and all our food were flooded. We have renovated the tent, but it is torn and water leaks heavily. I need your help, please. [Crying emoji. Crying emoji] Can you write a post explaining the state we went through? [Breaking heart emoji] We need to fix our tent urgently."
It rained here in Gaza last night. Everyone else is happy when it rains, but here in Gaza, we cry and feel so sad when it does.
The rain poured down on us last night, tearing our tent and flooding it. All our belongings and food were ruined.
We tried to repair the tent, but unfortunately, it's still torn and leaking heavily. I need your help, please, so we can buy a new tent. Please donate.
Fadel is already struggling so much with ongoing pain from his injury and with his illness. All of us need to pull together to help him get through this storm. Fadel has already endured more than anyone should ever have to - he shouldn't be forced to choose between shelter and healthcare.
If you are reading this, you have the power to help him. Please donate, and share so that others can do so as well.
Guys, we tried to fix the tent with some nylon, but it's still leaking rainwater and letting in the cold wind. I received some donations yesterday, but,
we're only 685 euros short of buying a new tent. So please, help me buy a new tent to protect us from the rain and wind. I can't bear all this suffering anymore; we don't deserve this. Please donate.
Please offer support to Fadel and his family if you can. Fadel is already injured and this rain and cold is worsening everything in an already horrific environment. Please offer him and hid family some relief if you are able to afford to donate!!!
Fadel is sick with the flu and still needs funds to buy a new tent to keep the rain and winter out. Every donation helps get him closer.
Think about how you felt the last time you were sick, and imagine how hard it would be to recover if you were in a torn tent in the cold, wet winter. Please help him get more secure shelter.
The flu is very dangerous for someone like Fadel, with injuries and poor nutrition because of the conditions he is forced to live in. Please give what you can to help him
Thank you so much, everyone, for your support. We only need 365 euros to buy the new tent. It's almost over.
Just 365 euros, and we'll be able to sleep safely without water leaking in and without the cold wind making us sick. Please stand by me and my family. Please donate.
Stop playing games, stop watching movies, stop following football matches, stop listening to music... Leave them alone, even if only for a minute. Sit with yourselves for a minute and think carefully: Do the people of Gaza deserve to die? Do they deserve this life? If the answer is no, do something for us. Either donate, participate, or do anything that makes us feel like you are with us.
Today, the Israeli occupation forces bombed a place near me, even though the ceasefire is in effect. But I want to tell you something about this occupation: It does not even abide by international conventions, humanitarian laws, or the International Court of Justice. It does not know what a human being means. It only knows the words "destruction," "killing," and "abnormal acts.
" If you think that donating to an organization or a food bank is better than donating to my family, you are wrong. First, my family is very large, and the number of children is also large. Second, this campaign will not be for one family, but for four families living in extremely difficult circumstances. Therefore, I will leave the choice to you: either donate here or share this post. Do whatever you can.
This website is still here and some of the asks are heartbreaking. Like “Jamie wants a new pair of jeans because he’s never had new clothes before”. Or “Kayla wants a bag with her name on it for when she moves foster homes again.”
A lot of these kids ask for brand name clothing and it sounds pretentious but having one nice new fashionable piece of clothing means a lot when all your previous clothes have come out of black trash bags from charities.
Btw, you can filter wishes based on gender, age, price, etc to help you find the perfect wish for you. This charity is LGBTQ-affirming (unlike a lot of religion-based charities that are unfortunately homophobic), so you can even look for nonbinary kids to donate to.
Also, I would really encourage people to be open to granting wishes made by older foster kids (14+) or young adults who aged out of the system and still lack family support. They’re so often forgotten.
If you don’t have a lot of money but still want to help give a kid a nice Christmas, there are lots of wishes that are $24 for stocking stuffers as well, or $15 for a sqishmallow!
Please, I beg you — if you're reading this, don’t look away. Every second matters.
My little boy, Qais, is one of Gaza’s many wounded children, lying helpless and weak, just like the baby in this photo. The war stole his laughter, his peace, and now, maybe even his life. Every day that passes without medical help pushes him closer to death. We need your help — your donation, no matter how small, could be the reason Qais survives another night. 💔
Since he was injured in the bombing, Qais has suffered unbearable effects:
1. His tiny body is constantly trembling from pain and infection.
2. He can no longer eat properly, growing weaker with every passing hour.
3. His wounds have not healed because hospitals in Gaza lack medicine and clean water.
Each of these wounds tells a story of neglect and injustice — a child’s body paying the price of a war he never chose.
I’m begging you, from the depths of a mother’s broken heart — please don’t let my baby die waiting for help. Qais still opens his eyes and whispers “Mama,” fighting to live despite the darkness around him. You can be the one who brings light back to his world. Please, donate, share, or simply speak for him. Let his name — Qais — reach the hearts of those who can save him. 💔🥺
PLEASE DONATE HERE
If Qais was your only child, would you leave him to face his fate alone?
DONATE HERE PLEASE
DON'T SKIP, I BEG YOU✋🚨 you're the only hope to save a child😔😭
pinkwashing from zionists is well known by this point and so is the weaponization of antiblackness among arabs to dissuade black people (particularly americans) from supporting palestinian liberation.
in response, however, is a similar tokenization of queer and black palestinians in passing mentions of centuries old afro-palestinian communities, screenshots from queeringthemap, or reposts of cishet gazans being nice to western queer activists. it's as if there mere image of these communities and moments of solidarity is supposed to erase the real ways black and queer gazans are marginalized, or worse, "prove" that palestinians deserve to live because they aren't bigoted.
lost in the discussion of hypothetical genocide victims' personal bigotry are the lives of the real victims themselves. we have to realize that we've been centering cishet and nonblack gazans in our discourse and this has bled into our solidarity efforts.
in the pity economy (coined by yazan mohammed), black people are not worthy of compassion, so people scroll by when black gazans ask for donations. i swear i have never seen a single black gazan gofundme account without at least one post talking about how nobody wants to donate to them because of their race.
this is not a new thing either. we just passed the 20th anniversary of hurricane katrina where displaced black people were demonized and prevented from receiving aid, and even now black fundraisers on tumblr frequently go months without a donation even as white people (and ao3) double and triple their donation goals.
in the pity economy, queer people in the global south cannot even participate. there is a certain mold of a pitiable queer person on the internet, and it's usually a white trans midwesterner. it's not a queer palestinian of any kind.
westerners don't even know how to conceptualize a queer person of color outside of hypotheticals. queerness itself is still seen as a western concept, so the existence of queer gazans frustrates the pitiable image of themselves gazans otherwise have to advertise online in order to survive.
people shouldn't have to deal with this shit online just to avoid death.
don't just talk about black and queer palestinians - donate to them!
bridge of solidarity, a project started by an 18 year old poet that has gained popularity for its anti-capitalist refusal to participate in the pity economy, sees through the bullshit. it recently started a dedicated fund for black and queer gazans to receive a monthly stipend. this is going to be huge for queer people who cannot out themselves on the internet and for black families who are being systemically ignored, even by the broader palestine solidarity movement.
if you want to contribute to this fund, DM @bridge.of.solidarity on instagram and tell them you specifically want to support queer and black community members. as of right now, they are 10% of the way to their $22,000 goal for this project.
to fund their projects in general, donate here. ("what's chuffed?")
If you want to help a Black Palestinian, please consider donating to Omar! He and his family are in Ghazzah and they need to raise funds to purchase food and other essentials! His fundraiser is verified! #1044 in the verified fundraisers' spreadsheet by the Butterfly Effect Project!
