robin williams was rad as hell..Ā
Iām still fucking devastated about this.
Same. Iāll never get over it and nothing has been the same since.
Just want to point out that Christopher Reeve was considering suicide before Robin Williams showed up. He didnāt just make him laugh, he saved Reeveās life. Also, he paid for Reeveās medical bills from the accident.
*stillgrosssobbingoverthis*
I will never get past his death.
Yeah, Iām still not over this
The most beautiful, funny people are sometimes the ones hurting the most - and the best at hiding it.
Itās worth noting that Williams had a serious physical illness that affected his mental capacities, caused major paranoia, and drove him to suicidal thoughts and actions. He was more than just depressed.
But yes, we suffered great loss when he died. Memory Eternalā¦ļø
What an incredible man we lost that day⦠Itās still not the name without him

nah I think we should really stop glorifying cigarettes
you sound boring.
You sound like youāve never had the scent of cigarette smoke ingrained in your clothes to the point where people in middle school thought you smoked at eleven because your parents couldnāt be bothered to go outside. You sound like youāve never had your mother flick cigarette ashes out of the car window and have them fly into your face. You sound like youāve never been kept up at night by the sound of your dad hacking up a lung because he has to get up for his midnight smoke. You sound like youāve never had to run into a convenience store to get your mother cigarettes as soon as you turned eighteen and cringed at touching the box because you know theyāre not only killers but government sanctioned killers because they can not only tax the shit out of them but ensure people buy more at the cost of young lungs and a once beautiful home now plagued with the smell of smoke and ash. You sound like youāve never had a great grandmother who stopped smoking 30 years before her death who still got lung cancer and subsequently died. You sound like a Fucking ignoramus. Smoking isnāt Fucking cool, it isnāt fun to glorify, itās disgusting and makes not only you but your children smell bad. Makes not only you but your children cough, get cancer, get sick.
You sound like a Fucking moron. Smoking isnāt cool. Grow the Fuck up.
No, you grow the fuck up. Thereās mountains of constant judgment when it comes to smoking. How about you leave people alone and let them do what they want with their bodies.
There is a REASON. Itās not just their bodies theyāre fucking. Itās never just their bodies with something fucking airborne. Especially when you have CHILDREN AND PETS.
My grandfather smoked in his house decades ago. We moved in. We started working on it. After just one day of having the AC off so it could be worked on, I could no longer stay in the house because the smell was coming out of the walls so strongly and triggering my asthma to the point where I couldnāt breathe. My grandfather is dead and his smoking still managed to effect me that negativity. It is not just their body.
My aunt took up smoking in secret as a coping method for her depression. My cousin found out and she was so scared for her momās health that she hid the cigarettes. But when my aunt noticed they were missing, do you think she had a calm conversation about the whole thing with my cousin? Nope. She stormed into her room in such a rage, my cousin was too scared to even argue. She just gave the cigarettes back and prayed for her mom to leave the room. There was no explanation for why she took up smoking, for why she was trying to hide it, no reassurance for her worried daughter, not even a question as to why my cousin took them⦠there was just addiction-fueled anger. Directed at a child who had no control over her environment.
And then thereās my own mother, who has never taken up smoking, but who grew up with two chain-smoking parents. My mom who has permanent lung and throat damage from a lifetime of breathing in smoke that she didnāt ask for. My mom who now takes daily medication so her throat doesnāt ache.
But, tell me again how smoking only affects your body?
I grew up breathing not only my step-dadās cigarette smoke, but all his friends as theyād frequently hang out in the living room together creating a cloud of smoke that permeated the whole house. I got asthma at 10. I found a growth in my left lung at 30. I now have 1 lung. 1 lung and Iām still asthmatic. Fuck people who smoke around children.
If you canāt agree with this, then fucking unfollow the shit out of me. Too many people in my family have died. My grandfather lost his wife to Lung Cancer. He still smokes though. And my dad who stopped cold turkey when my oldest brother was born and went through hell to make sure his first kid wouldnāt have to also. But did it help? No. Because his mom didnāt care that she had a newborn inhaling her goddamned secondhand smoke. Donāt you dare say it only affects the smoker. Donāt you dare.
Points up. Same.
Smoking also affects people before their born, my mom smoked a lot and so did my dad, and i have health problems from it. When i was living with them for only 3 years (my health already crap) i developed asthma at the age of 3. I was grateful my aunt and cousin chose not to smoke around children (they did though smoke a lot but did it outside). but smoking is extremely bad not just for you but literally everyone else. Itās not cool, itās not fun. Itās an addiction, it ruins lives, health and to top it off you smell awful. My brother he smokes and itās so strong it fills the garage and wafts into my room and sends me into asthma fits, iām 21 years old. To top it off we live with an 88 year old women (my great grandma), who canāt take strong smells and sends her into coughing fits. just donāt smoke, iām sick of hearing the argument that it affects just smokers. It affects everyone and everything.
Yyiiiiisssssss
...Wow...actually ill admit that this is pretty good but I refer more to the effort and animation. The song was...good, but I had to hold back from laughing so used in the middle of the night.

Net Neutrality is in DEEP Trouble
Reposted from Facebookās PBS Newshour.
Now that I got your attention with this videoā¦
The FCC decided to go ahead with the vote to remove the Net Neutrality rules that the Obama administrationĀ set up.Ā
As you can see, this is what the major ISPs wants to do if they have their way. This can do a few things:
Stiff new innovations, making it harder for smaller companies to compete.
Silence independent voices.Ā
Potentially putting up aĀ āwalled gardenā on a wide scale.
Make distribution of information harder for low-income people.
Imagine this website, if you will, only working on Verizon networks while AT&T customers are charged a little extra, or have slower access to the same information.
Remember, your ISP owns content providers and may give top-shelf, VIP treatmentĀ to their own things while stiffing everyone else. We need to address this.
Now, some of you may recall earlier this year that John Oliver and a lot of other people, companies (and yours truly) did a rallying cry to tell the FCC to back off the Net Neutrality rules, which resulted in millions of comments on their proposal.Ā
However, thereās been a few problems⦠in short, it seems that the FCC chose to not listen due toĀ āinconsistanciesā.
Sidenote: Tumblr isnāt the best place to talkĀ ālong-formā so if youāre interested in looking at these notes, here are some places to go to.
https://medium.com/@AGSchneiderman/an-open-letter-to-the-fcc-b867a763850aĀ -Ā ā Specifically, for six months my office has been investigating who perpetrated a massive scheme to corrupt the FCCās notice and comment process through the misuse of enormous numbers of real New Yorkersā and other Americansā identities. Such conduct likely violates state law ā yet the FCC has refused multiple requests for crucial evidence in its sole possession that is vital to permit that law enforcement investigation to proceed.ā
https://twitter.com/BanditRandom/status/933066570741383169Ā - A twitter thread about how the Wall Street Journal collected someoneās information to sign in FAVOR of Net Neutrality.Ā
https://arstechnica.com/tech-policy/2017/09/fake-net-neutrality-comments-at-heart-of-lawsuit-filed-against-fcc/Ā - āFakeā net neutrality comments at heart of lawsuit filed against FCC
So, what can we do about this?
There are a few things you can do to help slow down this nightmare situation.
You canāt justĀ ālikeā this note, you have to reblog to spread, but more importantly, you have to TAKE action!
1) Make calls to your representativesĀ -Ā https://5calls.org/issue/defend-fcc-net-neutralityĀ - this website will tell you who to call and an easy-to-follow script so that you know exactly what to say.
2)Ā You can support groups like the Electronic Frontier Foundation and the ACLU and Free Press who are fighting to keep Net Neutrality:
https://www.eff.org/
https://www.aclu.org/
https://www.freepress.net/
https://www.fightforthefuture.org/
https://www.publicknowledge.org/
https://www.demandprogress.org/
3) You can add a comment to the proposal using John Oliverās URL atĀ http://www.gofccyourself.com
4) Write a letter to your representative. Not an email, an actual, snail mail letter.Ā
Letās all band together and do something about this. Our future of sharing information, building innovation, nurturing voices and creativity depends on your actions now!Ā
I know it may sound hopeless. Look at when they announced this (you probably didnāt know they announced this on Monday when youāre busy getting ready to for the holiday!). But if we say it with one voice to BACK OFF THE NET, we maybe able to make a difference.
Hi.
Iām the Original Poster and I did my best to keep this brief with sources you can see for yourself.
However, with misinformation being a thing, I decided to amend to this to give you some extra pointers as to why I was specific about these steps and not recommend things like strictly writing to the FCC.Ā
1) Calling your reps and writing them is more effective than doing it via email. Itās been stated over, and over, and over again. Sadly, letters and phone calls are more effective.
2) Signing a petition can help, but without a way to verify you, it can be just as useful as shouting on Twitter (and will they look at Twitter? Nope.) Itās not totally useless, but it will not totally do the job.
See, if the FCC can useĀ ābotsā as an excuse (look at the sources in the original post), what makes you think a senator and representatives wonāt? This is whyĀ ācalling your repā is the first action step andĀ āwriting your repsā is the last.Ā
3) Regardless, the non-profit organizationsā job (the one I posted about) is to spread awareness BEYOND YOUR NETWORK. Think of them as a private army youāre recruiting for this one mission. You can only tell so many people and some of you donāt live in the United States, which makes it even harder!Ā
4) BTW, youāre not just talking about this on Tumblr, are you? You have to talk to people on your other social networks as well. They are affected by things as well. Donāt want to talk? Post a link to here and let me do the talking for you.Ā
5) While I have done the research for you, please do your own in conjunction with this. That way, you can be better informed, especially when talking about this to other people.
6) Oh and one more thing since I did neglect this in my last post. I forgot to post the ādeadlineā - the actual day they will vote. Wellā¦
We have until December 14, 2017!
So, letās mobilize! Organize! Transform and roll out!
Okay, maybe not the last oneā¦
But make the calls to your reps! Scroll up and do your part, no matter which side youāre on!
P.S. - I also posted examples of how Net Neutrality is helping us in the United States.Ā Ā
Reblog Just so nobody can say i didnt participate even a little.
Boosting signal. Seriously though sometime you either need to be prepared for a wait if you call cause there are a lot of people calling from what I could tell (or they put me on hold and waited till I hung up nearly an hour later) earlier. But hey it was worth a shot.
Reblog if you're not homophobic
Every url that reblogās will be written in a book and shown to my homophobic dad.Ā
Reblog this you little shits.
Always reblog.
Half my cousins in the world choose to fuck the same sex. If I was homophobic I wouldn't have family.
what if net neutrality ends three weeks from now and I suddenly just donāt have a job anymore
Write an email or make a phone call to your local congressman or click this linkĀ to send a message to FCC Chairman Ajit Pai
Donāt make an excuse not to.
You will lose literally 80% of the things you love about the internet if net neutrality is destroyed.
Most of the content creators you love will be out of a job.
Donāt allow Verizon, AT&T and Comcast to rip a fat piss all over the 1st amendment.
If you do one useful thing in your fucking life, make sure itās this.
