If you read ecology books printed in the 70s and 80s, they were absolutely convinced that whales and tigers would not survive the century. There's a whole plot in Star Trek about how whales are extinct actually. Here in Argentina, we were sure that yaguaretés would have gone extinct. It was thought that rainforests would be forever lost, because there was no way that such complex ecosystems would be restored.

Now, you can go to Península Valdés and find that the whale population there is growing year after year, people can see them from their windows. In Iberá, where yaguaretés were extinct for over 70 years, there's now a population of 35 and growing, after being reintroduced just five years ago. As for rainforests?

We've becoming very, very good on restoring them. Natural environments, when given space and time to heal, can return to that they were. And after all, all natural enviroments are managed by human societies. It is up to us to implement a good management, un buen gobierno.

I firmly believe our children and grandchildren will see a restoration of Earth like never before.

Millions of people are working on this. You can learn about it, perhaps even become one of them. Or be a pointless doomer in my ask box. Your choice.

I am a past life fictionkin!

I tend to use my fictotypes’ names online and when ordering from places like DQ or other food places!

I’ve interacted with sourcemates, both in passing and in actively discussing the source.

I am therian, otherkin, conceptkin, and possibly songkin!

It has its ups and downs. I miss a lot of people, but it’s nice to look back on my past from a completely new place. Without going any further, I love being fictionfolk.

1. what do you consider your fictional identity/identities to be?

we're a collective of (mostly) fictives, so... who we're fictkin of at any given time depends on the fronter,,. i'm personally a dimentio fictive, but my personality is so far removed from source that i doubt you could tell XD

as for the how and why,,. meh,,? >.< we're just us, we don't really see a need to worry about it too much otherwise,,. :3

2. does being fictkin affect your presentation?

to some extent,,! we're heavily closeted about all of it irl, but it can affect the way we talk, dress, what pronouns/names we use online, etc etc..,

3. have you ever interacted with sourcemates?

mhm,,! almost exclusively in-sys, though,,. spm fictionfolk are hard to find in general, let alone ones that aren't dimentio, for whatever reason,,. does interacting with another me count as interacting with a sourcemate,,? XD

4. are you any other form of alterhuman?

mhm,,! for me personally, not us collectively.., one of my strongest kintypes is false angel,,. i have angel wings in headspace, and i guess have an "angelic aura" about me, but i'm not an angel at all,,. which brings me to my other highest kintype,,! idk what to call it other than "dream-being" coz i'm basically a dream guy,,? except i exist outside of dreams,,. my whole thing is connected to sleep and dreams,,.

less strong kintypes,,. i think i'm catkin,,? tho i usually just consider myself cathearted,,. the connection isn't super duper strong, i just get paws, claws and a tail in headspace, and a few mannerisms/behaviors,,. i like being kitty though,.. ฅ⁠^⁠•⁠ﻌ⁠•⁠^ฅ

for hearttypes, i'm also sweetshearted, softhearted/plushhearted, and cryptidhearted,,. >w<

5. how do you feel about being fictionfolk?

mm,.. mixed feelings,,. i like being myself, but it can be awkward having to pretend i'm not myself to avoid people being weird towards us,,. we've thankfully met mostly cool people who don't give us trouble, but i wonder if maybe that's in part because we aren't the most open about it,,. well, usually, anyways,,. we're trying to slowly be more open about it online,,. :3
