Goodbye goodbye, you were bigger than the whole sky ⭐️🌙
i’m so ill over them omg
So...watch the season finale today...
Lets just say i bawled my eyes out
Thank yoj OH GREAT UNIVERSE for bringing me some joy in this dark af life
The humans aren’t the only version of them….
so they don’t just get 20-30 years… they get millions-billions of lifetimes of finding each other over and over. In every shape, form, concept possible. Their essence lives in all these beings and lives.
the music choice of Time After Time was intentional and integral to us understanding that part of the story.
my two reactions to the GO finale
The silliest thing I find about this whole "they only got 30 years together in the end with no memories of their shared history so what was the point" is that EVERYONE THINKS THEY ONLY MET EACH OTHER IN THIS ONE SINGULAR LIFETIME REALITY instead of my immediate thought that as its architects, Aziraphale and Crowley were wound so deep into the fabric of the new universe that there is a version of them finding each other and falling in love every single generation for billions and billions of years??????
A Roman version and a French Revolution version and a WWII version and ON AND ON AND ON AND ON AND---
For goodness sake the song that plays over this version of them finding and falling in love is "Time After Time"! THE IMPLICATION IS THAT THEY WILL ALWAYS FIND EACH OTHER!!!!!! ***ALWAYS*** IN EVERY LIFETIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
coming online as someone who liked the finale
Sorry a lot of y'all can't appreciate Aziraphale and Crowley finding each other and falling in love and being happy and gay together in any and every universe. Guess I'm just built different 😔✌️
wtf are some of y’all yapping on about ‘queer erasure’ in the gomens finale. they’re together? they’re married? th-they’re literally married? they’re happy and in love? how fucking more on the nose could it be? i’m so baffled right now
like c’mon, one of them could’ve been sent to superhell. one of them could’ve chucked himself off a building. one of them could’ve bled out in the other’s arms. one of them could’ve said ‘friends? no thanks! best friends!’ like guys c’mon. they’re HAPPY and TOGETHER.
in terms of how this shit usually ends, this was a huge fucking win.
the cgi finale monster is a physical manifestation of the duffers joint ego
reblog if you’re anti censorship and against harassing real people over fictional characters
thank you ao3 for being an archive and not an algorithm. thank you for letting me like things without consequences, thank you for being free with no ads, thank you for having lawyers to defend our freedom of speech. thank you tag wranglers. thank you to all authors and thank you ao3
reblog if you would never let ai write fanfics for you
now that we’re closer to the release of tales from 85, some reminders:
- dont watch it
- dont support it
- dont give it any attention
- if you really want to watch it, pirate it
let’s show those assholes how quiet noise can be
increasingly convinced that strangers on the internet are producing narrative work with an emotional payload that outperforms traditionally published fiction. it raises a genuine scholarly question about how unregulated, community driven storytelling keeps managing to hit harder than anything vetted by an editorial board.
there’s something about the precision of it, the way fan writers operate without market constraints, without genre policing, without the need to soften the blow for a hypothetical general audience. the result is fiction engineered for maximum emotional impact, and frankly, i would like to know who authorised this level of damage.
i have spent the entire weekend in the trenches. the fics are destroying me. and, in a bleakly predictable turn, this appears to be my natural habitat. i am thriving and perishing simultaneously. further research is ongoing, but early findings suggest i will not be recovering.
