I know tumblr blog recs are a joke, but today my tiny semi-active and completely insignificant blog got compared to a giant like @heritageposts and I’m not gonna lie, it just made my day a little bit more bearable.

all I’m saying is that the cottagecore community is ripe for anit-work / anti-capitalist radicalization

I keep seeing these anti-work posts on twitter and reddit that are like “U.S. doesn’t feel like a 1st word country because of the way the workers are treated here” or “the developed countries have no excuse for not paying living wages to their workers”, and like... yes, but also the way you put it makes it is sound like you are ok with the exploitation of workers in “non-developed” countries.

You have to understand that under capitalism the “developed” countries exploit the “non-developed” countries on a global scale in the same way that the rich upper classes exploit the poor lower classes in a single country.

So if you are fighting only to make your "developed” country to treat you better, all you’re doing is asking for a bigger share of the wealth stolen from the exploited workers of "non-developed” countries. This is not just about a single country and certainly not just about the “1st world”.
