Reasons to read the poison study series by Maria v Snyder

-good representation of a victim of torture and abuse who now has ptsd -but she is so much more than a victim and has a full life and wonderful narrative -poisons are cool -valek is a sexy assassin -yelena is a 10/10 female protagonist and is impulsive as hell -yelena always manages to get in shit but holds her own throughout everything -the author low key slides a trans character in there when you least expect it and it isn’t a big deal it’s just like oh cool this is nice. Honestly a trans character in a high fantasy??! I thought I wasn’t reading it correctly for a second I was shook -lots of PoC -well designed cultures -cool magic w souls and fire and lots of weird mind powers -did I mention Valek yet? Bc he is an A+ male lead and is an unconventional alpha male and is wonderful -claustrophobia is represented -magic school and who doesn’t love magic school -evil men but they don’t win -amazing story arc of an abuse victim fighting back against her abusers and learning to heal and be this amazing bad bitch -much more but I don’t think I need anything else to convince you

This not a genuinely German / Germany topic. But I reblog it anyway. The anti-vaccination movement has also caught on in Germany to such an extent that is one of the developed countries that is going to make the attempt to wipe out measles fail.

It has been the case that the influence of anti-vaccination activist parents in child care facilities has caused the immunization rate to drop to such low levels that these facilities have become hot spots of the disease, putting life and health of siblings too young to be vaccinated at risk. The German policy of trying to wipe out measles without forcing immunizations is on the brink of failing.

On another naruto note, can you imagine what the other villages were thinking when the four past hokages showed up to fight?

“Are you kidding me?”

“How tf do they do this shit?”

And then of course, seeing The hokages in action.

“Holy shit, glad they aren’t alive to deal with anymore”

“Good thing they’re on our side right now”

“Oh god, there’s two nine tails jinchuurikis right now”

And then you have the Stone villagers sitting back there like,

“Well fuck, we can’t even attack the Yellow Flash because he’s fighting for us”

But mostly, I feel there was just a whole lot of

“How tf do they manage to pull this sort of shit off?”

So I don’t know why I’m only thinking of this now, but seriously can anyone imagine if Kabuto had managed to get his hands on Shisui Uchiha’s body/DNA? The dude was already a problem when he was alive. Kabuto had a bad habit of bringing people back in their prime plus some. Now imagine. The logical choice would have been to put him with Itachi. Itachi and Shisui together? Yeah no thank you. Half the people would be like “who tf is this?” And the other half would just say “oh fuck” because being on the receiving end of any Uchiha fuckery is bad enough, but add the fastest body flicker seen to that, plus it being one of the most talented Uchiha and everyone likely would have thrown their hands up in exasperation.
