My top 5 adult fantasy Slytherin book recommendations (video here). Feel free to add to the list!

1. The Traitor Baru Cormorant by Seth Dickinson – A girl tries to take down the imperialist government that oppressed her people by joining them and infiltrating their ranks… as an accountant. A very dark political fantasy featuring a PoC lesbian trying to navigate a world where her sexuality could get her killed and the choices she has to make just keeps getting harder and harder

2. The Lies of Locke Lamora by Scott Lynch – A disaster found family of chaotic neutral thieves and conmen attempt a heist (warning: will make you laugh and punch you in the feelings at the same time). Amazing friendship, humour, banter, and plot twists. Incredible fun but also has emotional depth. Also happens to be my favourite book of all time

3. The Crown Tower by Michael J. Sullivan – The fantasy versions of Captain America and Loki are forced to work together on a heist. Really fun banter between the two main characters, very accessible straightforward writing style, really easy to get into for people who are new to the genre. It’s worth looking into starting the series with reading Theft of Swords first since that’s the first in publishing order, just not the first in timeline order

4. The Book of the Ancestor series by Mark Lawrence – Magical assassin nun school. Plenty of stabbing and poisoning and action scenes. Interesting things done with the Chosen One trope. Very strong on complex female friendships and lots of girls who are into girls. A dark world but lots of hopeful characters who are very loyal to each other. Start with Red Sister

5. Captive Prince by C. S. Pacat – Fast-paced political fantasy and action with a very Slytherin/Griffindor M/M romance. One prince is given to another for use as a pleasure slave but Prince Laurent isn’t interested in using the former prince like that. That doesn’t mean he still isn’t cruel to start off with though, and not completely without good reason. Enemies to friends to lovers. Particularly good for fanfiction readers since it has similar tropes (it’s worth checking the content warnings because this book has… a lot)

But I'm fairly sure Cassie means Arc winners and bloggers who got LoS early (there was many arcs given about it unlike Qoaad the last book) by early reader.
