For those not familiar, this is the air disaster where they ran out of gas, the entire plane shut off, and the pilot slowed it down by flying it fucking sideways into an abandoned air strip in the middle of a drag racing event.

It's been a looong time but my roommate and I finally got back to xenoblade 3! We talked and she admitted that the sheer number of sidequests that piled up for the end of the game was overwhelming her, so we're going to go for the ending pretty soon.

That being said, we left off in Colony Gamma with Teach's ascension quest unlocked and I really like that one so we did get that done at least. It's also an interesting one because the timeline is a little bit kind of impossible with the established lore of the game. When I first played, I interpreted it as Teach getting reset to term 1 after all the all-slaying, so it could've happened about 17-18 years/terms ago? But otherwise the timeline in that sidequest truly makes. no sense.

Oh and we went to Lower Maktha for the main story Origin scavenger hunt and I showed her the Riki shrine and she cried, 10/10

one fandom i'm in has this whole thing of "Concealing Spoilers" in dedicated fandom spaces to the point of even using codewords for several characters that can be extremely confusing to new fans who have encountered The Spoiler Characters in the original game because the codewords are stuff like "Coffee & Milk" or "7"

which really feels weird to me because before i even got into the fandom... i saw someone spoil something from the goddamn ending of the first game (7 is introduced at about the halfway mark for context) just so that the main character would win a crossover powerscaling argument???

i understand trying to conceal spoilers for new fans but... i thought most fandoms had an unspoken rule of "don't join fandom discussion or look up fanworks if you don't want to see spoilers"
