Buddie Roommate Headcannons
Since we are cannonlly in our buddie roommate era, I figured I should post the roommate headcannons I wrote during season 4.
Buck will press snooze twenty times, but as soon as he’s up, he’s his normal energetic golden retriever self. Eddie will get up with the first alarm but will grumble and groan and demand coffee.
Chris will climb into Eddie’s bed if he gets a nightmare, unless it’s about the tsunami or Buck himself. On those mornings, Eddie will put off getting Chris up until the last minute, and Buck will bring Eddie coffee and then stand in the door of Eddie’s room and talk with him.
Buck is always good cop because Chris has learned that Buck will immediately cave if he pulls out the puppy dog eyes and says, “I love you, Bucky,” or “You’re my hero, Buck.”
They have a jar of phone numbers they are given on the job, labelled “I’m a professional jar.” Chim renamed it “the lover-boy jar.”
Buck joins the PTA at Chris’s school. Eddie is scared of the soccer moms because Shannon joined when Chris started school in Texas, and said it was the meanest group of people she had ever met
When Buck does something, Eddie disagrees with he’ll give him the bitchface and a stern “Evan.” And being the brat he is, Buck comes right back with “Edmundo.”
Christopher declares that he’s going to start going by Dee because “if Buck can go by part of his last name, so can he.” It lasted 2 weeks
Hen and Chim buy them a decorative patio stone that says “Buckley-Diaz,” they claim it was supposed to say, “Buckley and Diaz.” But nobody believes them
Two weeks into living together, Christopher starts stating random facts.
Buck and Christopher do all the cooking. (Buck cooks, Christopher sits on the counter talking, and Eddie sulks in the living room.)
Friday nights are movies, pizza and beer (apple juice for Christopher), and Saturday mornings are pancakes.
They both suck at math so if Chris needs help with it Buck will facetime Maddie
Eddie pulls a fair number of extra shifts, and when he gets home, he finds Chris and Buck cuddled up in Chris’s bed (weekday) or the couch (weekend)
Eddie will sometimes wake up in the middle of the night to find Buck at the kitchen table, 3 hours deep in a Wikipedia binge.
