Anyway, before I log off from tumblr, I just want to say that figure skating might as well be dead.

This is so weird, I don't know how to navigate tumblr anymore. hahahaha
Current mood.
Dear Samsung and ISU
Please develop some sort of motion-sensor system that you can put near the ice so we can detect URs, edge issues and other hooplas so we don’t have to shake our fists a lot in Pyeong-Chang.
ISU does not have a lot of money to make this kind of project possible. FS is not exactly a sport that generates a lot of funds. And to be honest, visually judging a jump -- assuming that there are footages from different angles of the said jump -- is not that bad. It’s the easiest and most pragmatic way to go about deciding edge issues because believe it or not, in an engineering standpoint, there are way too many variables to consider in analyzing edges on an actual competition. In fs, what happens before take-off, upon take-off, or on landing matters. The position of the blade matters. The area of the rink , which is anything but predefined, where the jump will occur also matters . It’s not as simple as, say, Hawk-eye (tennis) triangulating/tracking a ball over a predefined area (the tennis court). [2/15/2022] I decided to log into my tumblr, clean up my drafts, and check the state of the FS fandom here while figure skating as a sport is in shambles at the 2022 Beijing Winter Games. Istg the best thing I did as a sports fan is to stop religiously following the figure skating circuit after Pyeongchang 2018.
First off, I can't believe tumblr is still alive. 😅

Now I can rest knowing that all BB event finalists have leaps as described in the CoP. ☺️
Not to be dramatic but this is a masterpiece
If you told me at the beginning of the quad that a side somi connected to the ugly straddle half and split half jumps that all of the Americans were trying would be a cool connection I’d have laughed in your face….. And yet here I am, impressed and completely sold……

No, I'm definitely not getting emotional over Sui/Han being world champions again.
