I need assistance in writing a Native American character!

I am developing a tv show concept centered around a group of 6 vampires living in Boston, Massachusetts. One of these characters is a Native American, specifically from the Cherokee tribe (as well as having other familial roots in the Wampanoag and Nipmuc tribes.) The story takes place in 2025, but he was born in the 1700s. I was wondering if there was anyone who is Native American and would be willing to talk to me more about Cherokee/Native American culture, history, and traditions as well as review my OC to make sure I avoid stereotypes or incorrect information. I have done a lot of research already to avoid any of this, but I want the perspective of someone who is actually Native American (I am not). Any help is appreciated!

they are def going to want people to watch 911 nashville, and they also need to clean up the MESS that was season 8. i think (or hope, rather) that they’re going to follow the “three part premiere” formula they used for season 8, but they are going to do it for both shows. by the end of 911 9x01, it will *hopefully* reveal that bobby is alive in nashville, prompting the audience to watch the premiere of 911 Nashville. they have also talked about crossovers multiple times in the press, so theoretically they could make the second or third episodes full crossovers. we could see the same emergency, but from different points of view.

no shot this will happen because the writers/tim would never but a girl can dream.

they’re definitely setting it up for chimney to become the captain of the 118. he’s going to get athena’s blessing/recommendation after what they go through in the high rise. eddie would fill his position as paramedic when he decides to stay in la.

eddie’s whole “i wonder if something would’ve happened differently if i was there” spiel is making me thing that buck is going to have a nde during the earthquake and eddie will save him. that’s why he’ll decide to stay in la

tim saying that he felt bobby’s death was the only way to progress the story is laughable. the season would’ve ended perfectly if he lived.

bobby comes out of the lab, but has complications that force him into retirement. would be a new adjustment for him and athena.

hen would become captain, and she’d learn how to be the best she can be while also being there for her family.

maddie and chimney are having a child and dealing with the fallout of chimney almost dying (again)

things that don’t make sense about this episode:

buck and athena not being taken into custody, instead at bobby’s funeral

tim minear saying they foreshadowed bobby’s death, with the fan of hotshots saying “you can’t kill captain race banner! he holds the fire family together” even though captain banner comes out of his coma at the end of brads arc

eddie not being in the episode at all

that white flash that happened after chimney was given the antiviral

As a certified stoner, this is my contribution to the "who would roll the best joint in the 118" discourse!

(this is a hypothetical universe where first responders can recreationally use cannabis)

Starting with the man, the myth, the legend, Chimney Han. Everybody knows why they call him Chimney. He's the best at rolling in the 118 and is the designated roller in the group. Got most of his practice working at the karaoke bar, as he would light up with patrons outside. His favorite method is taking dabs because his tolerance is high.

Everybody who thinks Buck would roll a good joint is wrong. He's more of a drinker, and in college he had friends within his circle that knew how to roll. If he is forced to roll, he will use cones instead of papers because it's easier for his hands. His favorite smoking method is a blunt with a palm leaf wrap, because it reminds him of when he was in Peru. He has also experimented with homemade edibles once he got bored of making regular baked goods.

Eddie is a little better than Buck, as he had practice rolling cigarettes in the army. He didn't smoke until he started at the 118, and will indulge only when the rest of the group is. He prefers to smoke out of a bowl so the smell isn't very strong when he comes home to Chris. He is also a fan of Buck's special brownies.

Hen learned how to roll in high school. She's had years of practice and friends who smoked so she knows her way around. She stopped smoking when Denny was born and switched to edibles, so she's a little rusty. When the 118 are together she will take hits off of a blunt if its available.

Ravi knows how to roll, but not very well. He brings the weed to the smoke sessions to make up for it. The nice dispensary is by some of his real estate properties, and he also has a medical card because he used cannabis during his cancer treatments. He used to use tinctures and balms, but now he has a fancy vaporizing device that he loves.

Miss Maddie Han loves a good edible. She doesn't know how to roll, and was never shown how until she started dating Chimney. Her and Chim take edibles before date nights, specifically when they are seeing a movie or getting takeout. She has also assisted Buck in perfecting his brownie recipe.

Bobby does not smoke for obvious reasons. He knows how to roll and has known since he was a teen, but he does not participate in the 118 smoke sessions to maintain his sobriety.

Athena also does not smoke. As a police officer she feels that it is hypocritical to smoke. When she was in college she was with Emmett, who was adamantly against smoking because it was illegal. She stays away from cannabis because of her own experiences but mostly for Bobby.
