☯ — Konoha couldn’t think any less of the blackout situation. Wasn’t that what was supposed to happen? Night is when the lights go out and it is time for bed, albeit bedtime was appropriate around the clock for the android. He thought the enveloping darkness was normal, although he was a bit bothered by the lack of light in terms of tracking his way back home. He could barely make out the path when he heard a scream and instinctively made his way towards the source. A nearby lantern helped him distinguish the situation, which also happened to confuse him even more.
He saw a young girl on the ground. She looked like she had just fallen. He was about to offer some help when she promptly picked herself up and started to laugh, which greatly confused the albino. Her following words only befuddled his grasp of the situation even more. He could only understand her statement in the context of his inability to reach her fast enough to help her. From the scream, it sounded like she was in trouble. But from the laugh, he really couldn’t tell.
"I’m sorry. I didn’t get here fast enough."
"...What?" An eyebrow slightly perched in bewilderment as she looked over at her 'suspect'; the dim lighting of an adjacent lantern made it much more easier to point out his physical features. A male individual that towered over her in height. How embarrassing. Either way, she had more important problems worry about. It was late and she'd never be able to return home like this. She barely even knew her way around the city so the blackout didn't help at all.
"What are you talking about?" Hopefully he wasn't just changing the subject. "You... did make that noise, right?"
A single blink of the eye and suddenly the whole city was left without power. Besides the lighting from the festival lanterns, the whole area was enveloped into an eerie darkness. Nico didn't really think much of it. It was more than likely a power outage. You know, those things that happen all of the time?
Honestly, she didn't see why people were making such a big deal out it. Was all of this screaming really necessary?
Well--she says that but when she heard an almost inhuman noise echo out from behind her, she practically jumped out of her skin. Nico lost her balance and ended up falling to the ground with a loud shriek.
It took her a brief moment to reflect on what had just happened. She scrambled on the ground awkwardly before she could regain her footing. Acting as if nothing had happened, Nico echoes a confident laugh and turned towards the figure standing next to her.
"Please! You'll have to do better than that."
ayy i'll write an open later but um--if anyone would like a mini-starter then like this post, maybe? i'll try to come up with something!
