*slaps my collection of OCs* oh these bad boys can fit so much neurodivergency in them.
Happy Third Birthday, Pseudonyms!
I know, it’s important to finish WIPs and actually learn how to end a story instead of giving up when the going gets tough.
But also please consider: if you’re pushing yourself to finish a project and you’re DRAGGING yourself through it because you’re not enjoying it AT ALL, it might be time to re-evaluate if finishing that project is worth it.
So consider this your permission slip: you have the right to abandon a story if it’s really not working out.
The dichotomy between ocs is so funny. Sometimes you're coaxing them out of the recesses of your mind like "pspspsps here sweetie dont be shy why don't you come tell me more about yourself" and sometimes its like there's a guy in here with you and he's punching the walls
I’m always like, “this WIP will be finished this week” and then six months later it’s still not done
“November is a hinge in the year, and the door gets opened to ghosts.”
— Nina MacLaughlin, from “On the First of November, the Ghosts Arrive”, The Paris Review (via voirlvmer)
you know when you really want to talk abt your OCs but don’t know what to say so you’re just holding them up like Simba with a bunch of exclamation points overhead?
Yeah.

excerpts from my new project
If u want to write a story about a character that's just you but hotter with a dark twisted backstory and magical powers and a pet falcon or something, I think u should just go ahead and do that. Who's gonna stop you? The government?? Fuck the police.
What if someone barges in, points at said character and scream, “Mary Sue!”
Tell them to come back with a warrant
Highway Robbery and General Tomfoolery
A/N: Eye- I just found an sdb scene that apparently i wrote and immediately forgot about and never told anyone about???? Anyway it’s delightful and I’d like for everyone to read it. <3
“Empty your pockets.”
Harper blinked, brain grinding to a halt as he stopped, foot pausing midair before dropping to the floor. “Excuse me?”
Bea grinned up at him, “Empty your pockets, please, sir. This is the regularly scheduled ‘how much video game npc energy is Harper radiating today’ check, I’m sure you were included in the email.”

having ocs is so fun tho. It’s like playing with barbie dolls except we’re hallucinating it all vividly in our heads and everybody is emotionally scarred
