average Hozier listen
DEAR ANNE, SINCE WE ARE PARTING WAYS PERHAPS FOREVER, I FEEL I MUST UNBURDEN MY HEART. YOU ARE THE FOND OBJECT OF MY AFFECTION AND DESIRE.
Hate hate hate the trend of people saying Annabeth is physically violent towards Percy (outside of sparring and such) but not in an anti Annabeth/Percabeth way in a "oh yeah Annabeth hits Percy and he just lets her hehe how cute!!!" way not only because its blatant glorification of abuse but because that would not happen ever. Its horrible mischaracterization
Annabeth wouldnt be abusive towards Percy and the judo flip scene isn't evidence that she would. Abuse is consistent and reoccuring, and the judo flip scene was a one time thing. It was also just bad writing on Rick's part to try and put an objectively non-romantic thing in a romantic context. I've heard some people say that the whole using Percy as bait for capture the flag thing was abusive but thats genuinely nuts to me. Ah yes a twelve year old sending some other twelve year olds to go bully this guy who she isnt dating or friends with yet and actually kinda dislikes in a game of capture the flag is abuse. Okay sure I don't care about anything. I'm not gonna pretend that Annabeth wasn't at times sassy and rude but you have to remember that whenever this happens its either A) Annabeth is a literal middle schooler name a middle schooler who isnt at times sassy and rude or B) Percabeth is a well established relationship and its just playful banter. A woman being independent, prideful, snappy, and bossy doesn't make her abusive.
Not only that but youre genuinely crazy if you think Percy would just let someone abuse him for no good reason. Thats genuinely an injustice to him and his character. Sure for a long time he put up with Gabe's abusive but that's because he didn't want to make things more difficult for Sally and also because he was I don't know a child whilst Gabe was a grown ass adult. Once he realized that Gabe was abusing Sally his first idea was to turn him to stone. Yeah that was for Sally but that just means he loves his mom and that hes willing to murder abusers. He loves Annabeth but if she was abusing him you cannot look me in the eyes and tell me he wouldnt beat her ass. Just because Percy is understanding towards Annabeth and loves her doesnt mean he would put up with that if it was going on.
Anyways. Percy respecting and occasionally being intimidated by Annabeth and Annabeth being a flawed human being doest make Percabeth abusive okay? Okay
and suddenly her winter passed, and the sun shone on her

is it just me or does my art look 90% worse whenever i take pictures of it? like eughhhh i drew that? what is that never pick up a pencil again my dude
bit of a rant about England and colonialism in general but it’s interesting to me how a lot of British tv will misrepresent Ireland if you know what I mean (Not derry girls my beloved I love you Lisa McGee 😘). A little example: I was watching a show called SAS Rogue Heroes which is about a special unit of the British army in WW2. The commanding officer of SAS was Paddy Mayne, an irishman. In the show he’s presented as sort of crazy and violent, and obviously it’s very dramatised, but while I was watching it, I was told by a friend (who knows a lot more about the SAS than I do) that Paddy Mayne wasn’t violent or unhinged at all, largely because that kind of behaviour wasn’t acceptable in the army. It really thickens when you think about the violent Irish stereotype and how the series was produced by the BBC. Hmmm it’s coming together a bit now right? It just seems so funny to me how they have this IRISH commanding officer being violent in a British produced show. Just a thought :)
irl paddy mayne (fun fact he never got married and was a great rugby player before joinin the armyjac)
paddy in the series (no hate to jack o'connel i think hes great and pretty fit too)
been a while since i fell in love with a new musical -- thank u to @scoutmark who recommended "MAYBE HAPPY ENDING" to me. helen j shen and darren criss play cute robots who fall in love. it made me very emotional, so here's a pretty simplistic fanart that i hope captures the sweet and delicate vibe that i think the show has.
commissions are open! ✨
a bit of joan baez to cleanse your feed !!
drawing of a frame from kneecap... lowkey put more effort into theis than school art
the reference !
kneecap is a great movie and they make great music as well go give em a listen (this is coming from someone who doesn't listen to a lot of rap)
have a good day and remember to drink water :)
every time a musical doesn't get a proshot release, an angel loses it's wings
i just started listening to hozier (ik, like over a decade late, whatever), but bruh. some of y'all did this dude so dirty. everything i've ever seen of him on here has been like "uwu magical forest man" and so my black ass goes into it expecting white boy indie music, but instead i get this radical leftist irish guy straight up singing the blues, like?? (singing the blues/having a lot of blatantly black musical influences, BUT crediting his influences in the process, which is a an important distinction)
like y'all. has anyone told tiktok what kind of music this man actually makes? bc some of them might be shooketh to find out their precious forest man is actually telling them to dismantle the oppressive institution of colonialism while actively paying homage to artists of color
well, that and also to eat pussy, but same thing tbh
