Finally my daughter’s portrait has made it! On top of that my former OIC dawn another gift to me , my medical tag I wore in Afghanistan during the IED explosion. It was an emotional moment for me twice - (1) a beautiful moment of my daughter captured and (2) the moment in my military career that changed my life and my brothers lives that day. It’s been a long while since I practiced Crouching Calf Raises. I had to use a post for balance but the fundamentals have changed: You want all your weight on your heels. Running is such a perishable skill to have! As I prepare this passage, I’m curled up in a ball on the living room couch, reflecting on the opportunities I had to put in one, two, four or five miles prior to this morning . I’ve emphasized I’m passion for running and personal health goals time and time again.
