Great evening last night with my book group girls. As ever, little discussion regarding books! Beggars Banquet in Muston Lane, Shaftesbury is mainly a bar with live music and light vegetarian bites. Highly recommend the Thali meal we had, which they serve twice a month.
Beautiful sunset last night at Shearwater Lake, Wiltshire
Bath, Poultney Bridge Nice little trip to beautiful Bath yesterday to look round the shops. Bit of a grey day but it was still beautiful.
Made first visit to Hauser & Wirth Somerset yesterday. Some interesting work by Phyllida Barlow and I love the milk pail. As it's only 5 miles down the road I am looking forward to visiting each exhibition.
Love the vibrant colours and form of Dahlias. These pics taken today at our local agricultural show.
Never trust a man left in a room on his own with a tea cosy who doesn't try it on his head!

Afternoon walk with my lovely girl at Stourhead Gardens
Driving west on the A303 the other evening, coming out of the rain and towards the beautiful sunset...
Saw this film this evening - really enjoyed it. Very fond of Mr Pegg.
Been busy in the kitchen today - cappuccino cake for a coffee morning; salted caramel and bitter chocolate ice cream and some choc chip cookies (the yummy chewy type). Maximum use of my Kitchen Aid stand mixer!
Pics from a walk from my house with my friend and her dog, George. Somerset is always so green!

Great achievement
My daughter got her A level results today - she needed AAB to get into her first choice of uni. Unfortunately the B came in as a D, although it was a predicted A! One of the marked papers gave her a mark of 11/120 - something seems wrong there so we are having it re-marked asap. The first choice uni will have her if it comes back good, if not it’s second choice - which will be good too, but she had her heart set on #1. We sit and wait whilst trying to reassure her she has done fantastically well.
Ronnie loves runner beans - grabs them and chucks them about as if a toy.
