btw if you are friends with someone and you have the kind of dynamic where you can tease each other you also need to be nice. just so we're all aware. you also have to be nice with your words on top of it. like with your words. use your words. you should tell them with your words when you like something about them. if you are scared of being too sincere or vulnerable that is not an excuse to not be nice to someone. also you should work on that. ok are we all on the same page

For some reason it seems like every time I mention that closeted queer people exist and to strangers may appear functionally identical to cis and straight people and thus we need to be cognizant of that in order to foster a world in which these closeted people feel safe coming out always seems to result in people going "brrbrr won't anyone think of the poor cishets" at me.
Like. I actually am not talking about the cishets here, I'm talking about actually queer people who do not feel safe to come out and why that might be so that we can fix that problem and find a way to allow them to live their truth and peace and happiness as themselves. I actually don't care about the cishet people who won't feel any of these effects, I care a lot more about the rest of my community who are too afraid of the consequences to live as they've been longing to because things like being disowned by your family and being hatecrimed by your neighbors are still things that happen to queers across the globe and also in this country.
weird thing that happened the other day that i need to rant about
so i was hanging out with this friend ans while were hanging out (this was a public space) one of out mutual friends joins in and everything's ok and then one of their friends joins in and then one of the first friends friends joins in and i dont know these people i was barely introduced but something that happened along the way is i just started feeling out of place maybe it was the fact i shared barely any common intrests with most of this group maybe it was the fact that one person mentioned really liking harry potter which set me off because of jk rowling and all the shit shes done but it was so weird and felt so awful and i genuinly felt like i had to apalogize to my friend later for not talking
