Okay someone please tell me I’m not crazy for thinking Dorian, Ruhn, and Rhysand are either related or the same person’s reincarnation in a different life?
Before you say eyes, Ruhns change from blue to violet. Rhys’s are Violet and Dorian’s are blue, and idk maybe the lighting is different in the different worlds lol
But like at the very least they’re all related, right?
Okay but imagine the first time Gwyn leaves the library to voluntarily go into the general public and it’s for Nesta’s mating ceremony and she sees Az who is wearing the other half of her ribbon as his bow tie because she had told him she wouldn’t be able to come, and and they just make eye contact and stare…
But Azriel was recruited by Nesta to sing for the ceremony because Gwyn TOTALLY told Nesta he sings when Nesta was trying to figure out and you know him being both Nesta and Cassian’s best friend, he’s going to be part of the ceremony.
So he can’t go talk to her or try to hide it or anything and the male so used to being in the shadows is NOT accustomed to being in front of everyone’s attention, but he’s used to masking, so he just acts normal but Gwyn notices his shadows going crazy and when they see her, they settle.
Okay I know it’s unlikely but what if it’s taking so long because she’s doing a EOS and TOD type thing but releasing both together for length and clarity and fandom chaos reasons and we’re actually getting an Elucien AND a Gwynriel book?
Chances? Low. Books take a really long time to write and I respect that. But can you imagine?
I mean the longer we wait, the more it seems likely. It’s still unlikely, and I still respect how long it takes to write a book. Especially when it has this much weighing on it at this point given how heated the ship war has gotten, how long it’s been since the last book, and the *mixed reactions* to CC 3.
Is it just me, or does Elain give Chili Heeler energy?
I want Lucien to find out that Rhysand cockblocked Elain and loose his shit at a high lord for the first time since Jesminda.
I want him to go feral and scold him in a threatening whisper telling him how wrong it is of him to take that decision away from Elain especially without her knowledge and stand up for her autonomy over whom she chooses to love.
I want Elain to see the whole thing and that be the moment she falls in love with him.
And then I want Lucien to look over to Feyre who is staring daggers at Rhysand and fuming with rage at him for withholding more information from her and making more stupid decisions, and I want Lucien to flip instantly to his old rakish self go, “Feyre, you’re on fire. I might suggest you take the remainder of your conversation outside. It would be a shame to burn such a beautiful new home to the ground.” Or something like that.
And then I want Elain, having seen the real personality of Lucien for the first time, to be deeply attracted to him for the first time.

Like if you don’t like it, that’s what AO3 and fanfic is for. It’s like a multiverse. Respect other people and their feelings on imaginary characters and have your own and share them. They can be different. They’re imaginary. That’s how the multiverse works.
In your preferred universe, one ship is more likely. That’s fine.
Other people have different imaginations regarding imaginary people sjm created and has barely shown to us. That's great! That means that people exist and can take story-starters and imagine a future using it as a starting point. They still belong to sjm, so her thoughts win out, and we have not been told what they are yet, but you can have whatever thoughts you want and go ham on AO3 or whatever platform you use.
I have my own assumptions, but I still enjoy fanfics by people with different ships and love reading their fanfics, so i like following both sides, but my feed is just hateful insults and debates.
I appreciate that we all love this author and her work so much but why hate on others in the SAME COMMUNITY? It feels like an endless state of that episode of friends when Ross is fighting with Carol's wife about Ben and Phoebe is like "this kid is so lucky. It's not even born yet and it has three parents fighting over who gets to love him the most."
Everyone is fighting over who gets to be right because they love the books and thats great but do we have to lock everyone in a janitor's closet to work out their feelings before the release?

Idk about others but man do i want to see interactions between Eris and Elain.
I can see Eris turning his older brother mode on the moment he interacts with Elain and to her surprise she feels nothing but good intentions from him and they just befriend each other so easily.
Everyone seems caught off guard when he refers to Elain as little sister and even more so when she doesn't object to it.
The IC would riot 🙊
But YES my headcanon is that Elain and Eris are going to be besties and have the best friendship dynamic ever.

I think a huge thing people miss about Beauty and the Beast is that Belle doesn’t settle for the bare minimum. The scene where the Beast is coached on how to ask politely and she still says no and the staff feeds her with dinner and a show anyway because she’s a human is showing that.
Is a lot of character development consolidated into one single song in “something there (that wasn’t there before)”? Yes. That’s what happens in musicals. You gotta get to the end in 90 minutes minus credits.
Is the old hag expecting housing, the prince expecting life servitude in exchange for her father’s theft (in the original), and the depth of deals made in a fictional realm with magic not as currently culturally relevant or understood today? Yes. Is taking the aspects that are culturally relevant in a time-specific manner of the past and comparing them to today’s culture without any perspective unreasonable? Yes.
And fairytales are meant to be an exaggeration to help express the big feelings of human emotions in a metaphorical and comprehensive and creative way.
Belle has standards. She has priorities. And she holds the beast to those and stands up for herself and doesn’t give him the time of day until he literally almost dies to save her showing character development of the first selfless thing he has done the entire story.
And she doesn’t start dating him the moment he saves her. She simply starts acknowledging him once he saves her.
Headcanon:
Elain and Nesta knew Feyre wouldn’t buy things for herself until she felt the need to even when they saw the need, so they asked for things for themselves to give her hand me downs.
The new boots Nesta wanted when Feyre came home with the pelt even though Feyre saw Nesta’s perfectly fine pair next to hers falling apart? Nesta broke them in so Feyre wouldn’t get blisters or friction burn climbing a tree in new ones and get frostbite, and then Nesta asked for new ones so Feyre could wear the broken-in ones. Elain asking for a new cloak? She knew it was getting cold and Feyre would need more layers out in the wind all day.
From book 1, Feyre is asking Tamlin to earn her keep from the moment she arrives. In the night court, she enjoys working even when she doesn’t need to and even when she and Rhysand say they barely have enough time both to be with each other and to sleep. They’re both prone to taking care of others at the expense of themselves and not take care of their own needs, and the sisters know this about Feyre.
I don’t think their mother tried to burden Feyre with keeping the sisters together; I think Elain saw herself as a helpless burden and Nesta saw herself as a thorn in her side, and only Feyre would give of herself to keep them together - not because the others only cared for themselves but because they wanted better for Feyre.
I think their mother probably knew that their skills and what they had been taught and trained for would be useless in survival, but Feyre was not only a fighter but a protector. Elain was more of a caretaker, and Nesta was begging her father to fight.
I also think that Elain was probably the one to teach their father to walk again and to take care of him for all those years. She probably did most of the housework except for cooking. I think the one thing she probably avoided was cooking both because they would only be able to know what they were eating once Feyre got home and because she may have feared burning food which would waste what little they had.
Do I think this was the original idea SJM had when writing book 1? Probably not. But by now? Yeah maybe.
