3. the ontario court of appeal recently announced the decision to make voluntary intoxication a legitimate defense in sexual assault and violent crime cases. this is EXTREMELY backwards and allows perpetrators to use the defense of intoxication in order to protect them from their victims seeking justice. 4. the albertan government is attempting to pass the critical infrastructure defence act. this act will prevent grassroots protestors in the province from exercising their right to protest on highways, railroads, pipelines, etc. by attaching a $25,000 fine or 6 months jail time. this could prevent citizens from protesting at legislatures or through picket lines. this bill is a direct attack against the wet'suwet'en protestors and could interfere with Indigenous peoples’ rights to hunt, fish or gather on traditional land. for everyone wondering if these detention camps are real… yes they are. the proof for that is a google search away. this is why there were wide spread protests across india back in december. this is just one state. we didn’t want them to implement this nation wide. but millions of people have already been wrongfully declared as “illegal” and have basically been condemned as non-citizens of india… all because of a flawed citizenship register. if you want to help, please donate to CJP (citizens for justice and peace). they’re an ngo that are fighting legally to free a number of people from these detention camps (usually the ones that end up in these camps are people from lower castes/class and have virtually no resources to get help). Hi, my name is Miguel, I’m a trans dude, and I am living in an epicenter of C*vid-19. More specifically, São Paulo, Brazil. Between our lack of a minister of health (it has already been 20 days without one), a buffoon president (Bolsonaro) who denies the very existence of this disease, and the biggest finantial/political crisis I have ever seen in my LIFE, governors are trying to fight the president, but he’s very powerful and he keeps it in the family. Yes, his children are his right hand men.

I was a tattoo artist, living with my parents, but being gaslit and having toxic people all around, I decided to move. But things didn’t work out with my roommate (she was abusive for real, and had the purpose of throwing me out the house because she wanted to live with her boyfriend, not me), and I moved back in with my parents. Then this absolute nightmare started.

We’ve been locked up in quarantine since March 16th. First we self quarantined (both my parents are diabetics), then the government issued the lockdown, and it keeps. getting. extended.

I don’t have any way to work or to keep myself fed during these unpredictable times. I made an arrangement with my Mother to pay rent by making small tattoos on her every month (yeah……). I’m genuinely stressed out from all of this. I have asked for help: [ x x x x ], but until this nightmare is over and I can actually work again, you are my only hope.

Nearing end of probation for anti-cop graffiti, owe $2000+ in legal fees, NEED help

Over a year ago I tagged “kill a cop, save a life” on a fence in my city’s downtown area and got nailed and sentenced to 18 months probation including 6 months of house arrest. I’m in the last few months of probation now. At the end of my last month, I’ll owe around $2000 in legal fees (6 charges at $323 per charge). aside from all the other financial crisis’ in my life, and after taking care of Pete’s vet bill, i officially need to raise the money for my dental work ASAP. for those that dont know, ive been struggling with bulimia for a long while now, and its been affecting my teeth badly. i have multiple cavities, some can be filled, but i need multiple root canals to save my teeth. this has become urgent
