The Trailer just dropped for Q-force a show that I had the pleasure of working on last year and the internet hates it…

And I’m gonna be honest most of the crew is also not happy with how the trailer was edited. One of the scenes in it was mine and taken out of context it doesn’t look good. It’s super frustrating since most of us are queer ourselves. 

I’ve recently come to terms with my identity( 💖💜💙) and unfortuntely spent the last few days of pride being harrassed by people online and having the term “queer blackface” lobbed at myself and other queer folks who worked on this show. 

The show is essentially queer Archer and it never punches down. If it’s not your cup of tea thats totally fine. And it’s not a perfect the show could always be more diverse! But it was made by millennial queer people for millenial queer people. I really hope everyone still gives it a fair shake! I also wanna add that I recently read the wikipedia article and I will say a lot of info in there is not accurate so please take it with a grain of salt! The truth is most of the info about this show is not avaliable to the public yet and IDK what I can and can’t say but most of what I’ve read from people who are speculating on the nature of the show are simply not true.

as someone who participated in the savelucifer campaign and won here is how i remember it was

1. tweet with TWO hashtags, not more than that because it gets marked as sp/am. so let's say #saveprodigalson and #pickuprodigalson which is the same tags we used back then.

2. choose specific times to try to trend by having rewatch parties as a fandom etc.

3. BE NICE to whatever network could consider saving the show and do not bad mouth fox in tweets that are for a pick up. hbomax is who i am focusing on since they already carry the show. netflix has actively said not to ask them anymore so i would also focus on amazon prime and hulu. perhaps shudder as well since pson is rather dark.

4. there are petitions we could make but honestly they don't do much.

5. understand that this show has a smaller but passionate fanbase and it might not happen and could take a lot of time if it does.

I’m glad that Derek Chauvin was found guilty, and I hope it brings even the tiniest bit of peace to George Floyd’s family. But please resist the urge to write those lengthy “racism is over” posts and start patting yourselves on the back and talking about this being a unifying moment. Mr. Floyd isn’t a martyr, and true justice wasn’t served. Chauvin is being held accountable and that is not the same thing as justice.

This is not a victory in the sense of any advancement for equality. All this guilty verdict is is stopping us from sliding further into the inequality in which we are so thoroughly steeped. When a jury confirms that a murder documented by eyewitnesses, video, medical experts, and half the world was, in fact, a murder all you can say is "thank God we're not so bad off we can't acknowledge this fact." This isn't a given either, as so often we have not acknowledged the facts of blatant racism and injustice.

he didn't choose to die. he didn't sacrifice himself. he was murdered in cold blood

white people are already twisting this, thanking him for his sacrifice like he decided to be brutally murdered by a white cop for existing as a black man

like. stop thanking him for being killed just because it made you open your eyes! it was never his responsibilty to make you take a stand against police violence and racial profiling in the first place

you want to make something out of his death? acknowledge that it was senseless and never should have happened in the first place! stop glorifying this murder

PSA to my white friends and followers: In the wake of a phenomenally important guilty verdict in the Derek Chauvin Trial, I’d like to remind you all that the fallout of this case will likely mean more police violence against our Black friends and neighbors, not less. Looking at the statistics in the weeks leading up to this verdict shows that this is already the case. Police in this country are angry that society is beginning to hold them accountable for their abusive actions, and they are looking for revenge. So if you see a cop interacting with a BIPOC, DO NOT walk away. Video record if you can (and as long as it doesn’t further jeopardize the safety of the BIPOC involved), but absolutely do not walk away. It is critical that we do our part and look out for people, and make cops think twice about abusing their powers of authority and near-immunity to murder citizens people.
