Most of this blog will be dumb ideas and stupid jokes, but some of it may be in character. I only have one PC right now, but there will be more.

1. Phillip Charactus:

Human Fighter 11/Paladin 9

Racist to fae, because his fiancé enthralled his town and he was the only survivor. Notable abilities include:

Fred, a talking longsword that cuts magic and is bound to a staff named Gorge. Yes, like the Weasleys.

Shock and Awe, a Darth Maul style double sided shortsword. It deals double shortsword damage, double shortsword damage again but thunder this time, and also a mental version of restrained called dancing.

Ron, a tower shield embodiment saws with the visage of Bahamut. There is a red gem in Bahamut’s open maw, dead center on the shield, that grants fire immunity to the weilder.

Whistle Daggers, throwing daggers with a gimmick of their hit roll being contested by a perception check rather than enemy AC

2. “Mad Maddock” (Aramil Scholarlash)

Elven Barbarian 2, Wizard 15 (inaccessible).

When magic broke, so did his mind. Aggressive and jovial, fiercely protective of his friends.

Notable Abilities/Equipment:

+3 Greatsword (enchanted for +1, really, really big)

Hood made of voidwolf pelt. Reflects magic, absorbs crits.

Burning Blood

Cursed Item (Potion, Legendary)

This vial of glowing blood is warm to the touch. If it is opened, it releases a tantalizing smell, and the creature that opened it must make a DC 18 Wisdom saving throw, or they must drink the entire 6 oz vial.

When a creature drinks at least 6 oz of Burning Blood, they fall under the Burning Blood Curse until it is dispelled by powerful means.

A Creature under the effects of Burning Blood is insane, and always Raging, unless they do not feel pain. At the end of combat, for every 10 rounds that combat lasted, the creature heals 1d6 hp (minimum of 1d6)

So, new idea for a ttrpg, incredibly underbaked. The game is centered around establishing truths about the narrative, and paying those truths off.

Each person is playing a character in a story, and the game part of it is this, "the GM introduces a thematic element, maybe even multiple thematic elements that the party has to pay off." So, each player can set up truths in the world. These truths would be divided into different chategories. Weather physical "I have a gun!" personal "my past is tragic" weaknesses, such as "I'm a horrible shot" Thematic "this is a love story" (these can also be genre, age rating, etc) the idea is, rolls don't actually determine weather or not you succeed, but weather or not you can successfully establish these elements. Eg, rolling yes and gives you "Yes, I'm establishing that I have a gun, and that I "

and later, you, or other players, can help you establish those truths "quick, you friend, shoot him with your gun!"

and then later, you could pay something off "Im gonna shoot the villain while they are monologing by using my gun!" but, different tasks the party may want to acomplish in the narrative, would have different narrative weights to them. The highest you can get it 4. that means to accomplish that task, you would need to payoff atleast one from each chategory. shooting the big bad evil guy, may only be accomplished, if we are paying four truths, such as.

Physcially "I have a gun" Emotionally "Im decisive." Flaw "Im impatient" and thematically "Justice must be reached" Which means, I would need to have established, and reinforced, those 4 things throughout the whole of the narrative. if i was developing it out, it would have some sort of metacurrency situation, that would allow you to like, subvert pre-established things or automatically develop things or whatever else. My thought it would be "coins" which turns a d4 chart of "yes/no. and/but." into just "yes and/but" and which can be spend to try and subvert/deepen themes and stuff, and details and whatever else.

None of what you establish determines the methods, only your abilities.

So you establish the physical truth of having quick fingers, or the societal truth of being labled an outlaw,

But you wouldnt establish “petty theft” you would establish “im paying off “has a map of the building”, “is part of a criminal network” “the genre of hiest” and “the theme of justice” by arranging to have this money heisted and returned to the orphanage.”

Or whatever.

Boots of the Ape Lords

Magical Item (Boots, Legendary)

This pair of boots is made from the feet of an Ape Lord, a massive magical monster that is to a gorilla as an Arctic Ursine is to a polar bear. While wearing these boots, you gain 20 ft of movement speed, but you have -1d20 to all stealth rolls. Additionally, if you move more than 50 ft in one turn, you may make a melee attack on every creature within reach of the path you traveled.

Something possessed me and I was like "I must come up with in-world symbolism of colours from the perspective of the Overworld (so illagers and villagers).

It would be different from Nether's perspective, perhaps I'll do that later.

I have a few comments:

1. Red is not love.

What is loving about redstone? About the nether? No, red is Defiance. Defiance of death (Health bar, potion of regen/instant healing), defiance of oppression (nether in general), defiance of everything that stands in your way (redstone, tnt, and their uses in breaking bedrock)

Now orange is more interesting, but I think it’s the opposite: oppression. Oppression of you enemies (potion of strength, fire aspect), oppression of those you hold power over (lava, and its use in farms), oppression of your own people (piglins and hoglins)

I think grey is Nothingness. Bedrock is grey on maps, as is the void, and empty stone, and the core of Absorption (the effect), and the disgraced illagers, and death smoke is grey as well.

I think white is protection, see Iron Armor, the bone casing on the almost-black-but-really-grey reinforced deep slate, the snow and goats that guard the mountains, end crystal casings, shulker bullets, end rods, and beacon beams.

Everything else is good tho I like 👍

So LTN’s 5000 days is finally out, and because

✨ character design is my passion✨

I wanted to talk about the character Luke has created.

The Notable is one of the most compelling characters I’ve ever seen. He is a vain, narcissistic, abusive, horrible man. Until, you look as close as you can for the entire series. When you dig deep, and truly analyze The Notable, you see a mortal, scared of his own mortality, doing everything in his power to hide and prevent it.

For example, The Notable really begins his vanity in 200 days, when he finally has a secure home. This vanity is exacerbated exponentially when he sets up his beacon arrays and raid farm, because suddenly, he’s almost impossible to kill when he’s on his compound. Then, you notice that he spends practically all of his time there. He raises the melon men, so he doesn’t have to go to glass town, where he is far less invincible. He creates three whole perimeters, completely flat, so he’s never caught lacking. But then, he also spends ridiculous amounts of time making pointless vanity items just to prove that he’s “not” scared. He has a nuke on his lawn that he’s too scared to blow up. He has a giant hole in the ground for no reason. He spent 500 days wiring up lights just so they would look pretty. At this point, he has no reason to fear. But he does, and he does in practical, careful ways. He tests how high he would have to fall outside in order to pop a totem. He trains extensively, obsessively, to be the best. He spends just as obscene amounts of time raising perfect villagers in order to get arrows that he doesn’t technically need!

I love the notable.

At long last, here is my addition (actually the second draft of it lol). I believe that Luke’s obsession with vanity and cruelty to others is due to his denial of his need for survival.

I really hope this doesn’t suck I’m bad at wording things

1. Vanity & Cruelty

This will be way more expanded in section 3 (misc thoughts and things that relate) but Luke uses vanity to deny his need for survival. The repetition of “hardcore Minecraft is about vanity” replacing “survival” is really the main evidence for it, along with the many graves and memorials to the dead he builds (expanded in section 2). I believe that his cruelty to others is also part of his denial of survival, viewing them as mere mortals compared to him.

2. Assorted Examples (with notes)

Luke has a strange fascination with death, preventing it, and dedications to those who have died. Many structures in his world are related to those topics. For example:

Panda mountain

The villager monument

Field of pillager banners (he also does this in the raid video!! he refers to the other 100 days as dreams, maybe a reflection of the subconscious??)

The iron golem head and field of poppies at the mansion

The two eternal flames (“these will burn until I am dead, which hopefully will never happen”)

The totem statue

Probably a ton more that I missed

Warden head made of catalysts from dead wardens (he kills it from far away, fear connection)

Even more crazy stuff he does: he wires the redstone lights specifically to turn them off and fight monsters, but never does (same with the arena he builds). He goes out of his way to get beacon powers on like 8 blocks where he doesn’t have them, as well as in the notable canyon.

3. What about the other 100 days?

This is a much smaller addition, and probably an underwhelming way to end it, but I believe the other 100 days (his “dreams”) are a reflection of various aspects of himself, but the common theme (and the reason he makes them in the first place) is to prove that he can survive anything, anywhere.

In conclusion if you classpected him homestuck style I’d say prince of doom

I checked in about this with Munchie to be sure - there isn't an incident in the past that made her afraid of hospitals or anything.

She's just generally a very anxious person who doesn't like being touched, and in ch9 she was in pain and very out of it from shock on top. She's not petrified levels of afraid of them normally, she just doesn't like them.

She wouldn't have reacted as badly to the idea of going to a hospital if she had been more lucid and able to process it as the necessary evil to briefly put up with that it is.
