+ bonus:
Anakin opened his eyes and turned his gaze fully upon the grotesque features of Darth Sidious. He didn’t even blink. As he looked upon that mask of corruption, the revulsion he felt was real, and it was powerful, and it was- Interesting.
On the mountain peak within himself, he weighed Padme’s life against the Jedi Order. It was no contest.
He said, “Yes.”
Oh my poor sweet Roger. You did not deserve that.
James McAvoy is so good, but oh no poor Roger. this gonna be a rough one next week folks.
“Seen my dad, have you?”
People have this weird belief that if you're critical of a system or tradition, then it must be because you failed to live up to that system or tradition. The idea of having a principled stance, regardless of whether or not *you* personally benefit from society accepting that stance, is foreign to so many people. And this belief is really fucking important for and beneficial to the elites of this country. If you can get the masses to equate criticizing you and the institutions you control with abject personal failure, congratulations, you've just made yourself immune to accountability
is Oliver's soul going to be at rest with felicity and not want to come back? cause I'm getting them vibes or that we are gonna have to watch him die again.
It is sinking in and I am so sad now. Bring back our sweet boy.
That felt so rushed and I was so sure that Oliver wasn’t going to die there that I didn’t even get a chance to feel as sad as I should. It didn’t hit me as hard as I thought it would and that in itself makes me sad.
I am not ready for what is still to come this season
How could they not show Lyra hugging Pan after getting out of the machine? come on y'all
Black Panther (2018) dir. Ryan Coogler
When a villain is completely justified
Part of why I love Black Panther so much is that the villain isn’t a cartoonish “bwa ha ha I shall destroy the planet!” character. He has a thought process you can follow and understand. He’s human.
I could sit here and complain how our mom liked Zuko more than me. But I don’t really care. My own mother… thought I was a monster… She was right of course, but it still hurt.
