i love love love the idea of eddie telling his close friends in hellfire that he’s been dating someone but he won’t say exactly who. and then he started bringing said partner (yes it’s steve) to the meetings. and it isn’t steve’s thing, but he likes what his boyfriend likes. so he sits in a chair beside eddie and follows along and asks hushed little questions when he doesn’t understand something, in which eddie immediately pauses and turns to explain. now, the group is already baffled at the fact that steve harrington is coming to hellfire. imagine eddie’s friends’ surprise when they realize that steve is the boyfriend

Here's a thought about Eddie learning about weighted blankets, he really wants one for his fidgeting and anxiety, but he's not sure if it would help and he doesn't want to waste all that money if it doesn't.

He makes the mistake of casually mentioning this to his now friend Steve Harrington, being bat bite buddies and all, and Steve just tells him "let's test it then". They go to Eddie's bedroom, Steve throws all of Eddie's wardrobe on top of him and his blanket, but Eddie keeps complaining it's still too light. And look, Steve didn't survive Vecna to be defeated by a theoretical weigted blanket, so he shrugs and lies on top of Eddie, his blanket and the pile of clothes.

Eddie's voice is muffled, but Steve can make out his words - "almost perfect."

He removes half of the sock drawer from Eddie's face and asks: "OK, what's missing?"

Eddie looks him straight in the eyes and says: "You under the blanket with me."

Steve is silent for a moment, but he raises his hand and absentmindedly plays with Eddie's hair. "Really?"

Eddie nods, then adds: "Just to assure you. I'm not saying that only because those blankets are stupid expensive."

Chuckling, Steve finally rests his hand on Eddie's cheek. "You should know that having a boyfriend is even more expensive."

Eddie laughs as Steve finally removes the whole wardrobe from the bed and joins him under the blanket. "Yeah, but I survived the end of the world, you know. It's only right if I treat myself to a jock boyfriend."

He’s happy to focus on raising her and every so often tries to go on a date but meh and when his daughter’s 15 she starts going on and on about this band she really wants to see and they’re touring close by just a week before her birthday and it would be the best birthday present ever and Steve finds out it’s Corroded Coffin and just goes:

“Oh, Eddie Munson’s band? You know I made out with him almost every day one summer when I was 17.”

fandom etiquette as a whole died when people who didn’t grow up on fandoms became stans during lockdown, yes, but why am i seeing people openly mocking fics on twitter. why am i seeing screenshots of fics with captions like “bro what is this 😭.” why am i seeing people mock fic writers for not knowing how sports or theater or college or any other organization operates in the real world.

“college is absolutely nothing like this” “why are we writing four people on the team scoring a hat trick in one game” “so tech work is nothing like this, hope that helps!”

if you don’t like a fic, and if you can’t suspend your belief enough to enjoy a fic that exaggerates or ignores real-world orgs, you don’t have to read it. you don’t have to screenshot it and put it on blast for twitter. you don’t have to post a link to it in the replies. the back button is literally there on your phone. it’s not giving baby’s first fandom anymore, it’s giving entitled asshole and it isn’t as cute as you think it is.

He drives back home and demands Steve break things off with the Munson kid.

Eddie, who had been stuffing his face with chips as he read some comics in his bed, shrugs. "Do I get to touch your tits?"

"I guess that's reasonable dating behavior, so yes."

"Okay." Eddie puts down the comic book and wipes his hands on his pants. "Now take off your shirt and come here."
