as venezuela is my home country, all of this hits especially close to home. thankfully, my family and loved ones are safe since they were in cities not as severely affected. however, many others have not been as fortunate and are now facing the aftermath of these events.

years of political and economic instability have left many communities with limited resources and infrastructure, making it even more difficult to respond to emergencies like this. there are reports of people who remain missing, and many families are still waiting for news about their loved ones. rescue efforts have been made even more difficult by shortages of equipment, ambulances, and other emergency resources needed to respond to a disaster of this scale.

This is what happens when there is little to no media coverage for a country going through a genocide over the past 3 years! Not only people are surviving displacement, famine and violence, but they are at high risk of infection by diseases!

It is devastating since hospitals are overflowing with patients and have been losing access to electricity, depending on solar energy for power! One hospital has to use light from cell phones to conduct surgery but the patient has died! So I ask you to please talk about Sudan! Hey yall I just wanted to come on here and bring some attention to what’s happening at the detention center (really a concentration camp) Delaney Hall in Newark, New Jersey. There is a hunger strike going on right now to protest the abhorrent conditions within the camp (allegations of torture, maggots and other bugs in the food, etc) and protests happening outside the camp. ICE is not allowing any politicians to come in (as is their right) to see the conditions of the camp.
