What do you guys mean this is not what happened at the landsmeet??
Honestly I loved the whole landsmeet quest, especially researching all the different outcomes of how it can go. But it was one of those occasions where I missed more argumentative dialogue options.. and somehow my mind jumped to Ace Attorney. I don;t have any regrets
Crossover that nobody has asked for but that we all needed - @idrellegames's Wayfarer meets Ace Attorney in this prompt for Wayfarer's 4th Anniversary Giveaway! After all, why just a single secret, when you can have plenty?
Maybe if you present the correct evidence to him, you'll force him to confess what happened in the Spire. 😊 To those not in the know, explanation below the cut!
The inspiration for the pose was a character from "Farawell, My Turnabout". The hand was roughly traced from the picture and then redrawn by me because human fingers are still a struggle. Huge thanks to my best friend, Ania Annorelka, who drew a chain for me when the one that I intended to use ended up being too jarringly realistic to work with this piece. Any mistakes are mine since I assembled the chains myself with a ridiculous amount of copy-paste.

Red Psyche-Locks represent a secret that an individual is consciously trying to hide. The number of locks represents his or her determination to hide the secret, and this number can vary from one to five.
I don't dare to guess just how many Psyche-Locks Aeran would have for the Spire alone so I went with a symbolic 6 + 1 because Aeran is Wayfarer's special boy. Of course, it takes no magatama to realize just how badly Aeran doesn't want to talk about the Spire... and we still would have to find all the evidence to corner Aeran with... but wouldn't it be fun if we could make our own investigation and force him into a confession? I'm sure that many of us have fantasized about this scenario!
(It's okay, Aeran. You're safe with me. At this point, I almost don't want to know what happened because I have a feeling that knowing what happened will break me. Possibly Corinne, too.)
GOD there was a reddit thread talking about the extreme ways people were trying to save their true ending eternally so it could never be touched and reset and everybody would live on in their own digital universe
shit like copying the save to a flash drive and hiding it or locking it in an archive with an incomprehensible password
real talk its so interesting and cool that the undertale world and characters resonate so much to some that people go to such lengths to preserve their ‘existence.’ i just think thats so cool that the game does such an awesome job of making their existence seem real and important to you to the point where you refuse to replay the game

Corina Corinne Brianta is the most trigger-happy person I know. If she wasn’t half as meticulous about transferring her photos regularly (a habit that certainly got more intense since she met a certain Rylan), I would seriously question how on Earth is her phone’s memory not at maximum capacity at all times.
Corinne Brianta thrives in the modern selfie culture. And why wouldn’t she? She certainly has the looks for it! If anyone should take “I feel hot” selfies, it should be Corinne and we should all sing praises to her for this sacrifice. What saves Corinne here, what makes her pull off an onslaught of selfies without coming off as ridiculously conceited, is that at no point is she trying to be an influencer. She has no desire for clout based on her looks – she wants to be acknowledged based on her skills. She takes photos because she likes it, she takes photos because she’s feeling hot, having fun, seeing something interesting, and if you’re her friend, then she’ll probably share it with you, but if you’re an Instagram follower, well, it’s tough luck. The vast majority of Corinne’s photos never end up there.
Contrary to what you may think about her, Corinne is an artist, and her Instagram account is somewhere between a public (and thus – highly curated) diary and a portfolio. What ends there is a selection of Corinne’s best photos - the ones that have passed Corinne’s muster, have been considered not intimate enough and have been approved of by any parties present on these photos.
What you must know is that being Corinne’s bestie entails of a baijilion of photos taken together, many of them being impromptu selfies of a low artistic value. It was never about artistic value with those. She browses through them whenever she's feeling low, reminding herself of the happier times (and grounding herself with a reminder of happy times still ahead) and, most importantly, reminding herself that she is being loved. Liked. Cared for. That her presence is enjoyed and looked forward to.
It's not the feeling that Corinne has taken out of her family home. Considered a family disappointment, Corinne was raised in a cold, detached household and pursued independence as quickly as she reasonably could (which was nowhere near quickly enough, I’ll tell you). Years after, she's still working through the trauma with her therapist's help. The photos help, too.
One of the most intimate gifts that Corinne can give you is a scrapbook full of the photos of you and the fun times that you two have spent together. If you got it, you’re either her cherished friend or her beloved. If you got it, you know well the feeling of the outrage (“I told you to delete that photo!”) mixing with the feeling of utter delight (at being seen). For all the harships that sticking with Corinne involves, such handmade gifts make it all worth it. Hang in there, Arion!
It may be silly to care so much about preserving small, fleeting moments like this. I very well can imagine it being so to anyone as old as Kian de Vries. You spend more than one lifetime realizing that everything in life is temporary. No matter how careful you are and no matter how much the technology advances, the physical objects are fragile, the data can be lost and the person’s memory is the worst of them all. To that, the answer is simple. Kian de Vries may have several lifetimes’s worth of a life, but Corinne the human has only this one. If she managed to let her preserved memories live for a little longer, bring enjoyment to her even a short while after they’ve already passed, it’s good enough in her book. (Obviously, the eternal fame and fortune would be nice, but working in NYC as a relatively newly independent person does temper one’s expectations in that regard. In any case, she’s not going to rush her big debut into the art world. Deep down, she’s convinced that one day, one way or another, her talent will be seen.)
For now, Corinne is busy moving her photos from one hard drive to another and printing out her favourites for her own use, including her own scrapbooks. To Arion’s chagrin, despite their years of work partnership / friendship and Arion’s hopelessly one-sided crush on Corinne, not a single picture of them has ended up on Corinne’s nightstand. To be fair, not a single picture of Rylan and Corinne has got there either. Corinne is saving up this spot for someone special. Who knows, maybe if she gets more comfortable with her ragtag group of misfits, she’ll end up – at least – sorely tempted to make this exception for them? Who knows what the future will hold.
